"I ordered flowers for my mother on the morning of Friday, May 11th 2012. According to 1800Flowers.com, they have flower arrangements that can be delivered same day.
I called 1800flowers and they confirmed that the arrangement that I chose would be delivered on Friday. They called my back hours later saying there was high volume, and they would not be able to deliver it until Saturday. I said this was okay, since Mother's Day is Sunday.
They never delivered the flowers. Nor, did they call anyone or email anyone to let them know that they are going to fail.
When I called 1800Flowers on Sunday, I was transferred between two service reps. They both offer a $20 reimbursement and to deliver the flowers on Tuesday. I decline and asked to talk to a Manager. Both of the service reps told me that the manager wasn't in the office. I guess 1800flowers doesn't hold their managers to normal standards.
I will never use 1800Flowers again. "
"Horrible! On May 1, 2012, I ordered an arrangement to be delivered to my grandmother for Mother's Day and I paid extra to ensure delivery on Saturday, May 12 (the day before Mother's Day). Late Saturday evening, when my grandmother told me that nothing had arrived for her, I contacted customer service and was told that the high volume of deliveries for Mother's Day meant that florists would be out delivering until 10pm. Well, my grandmother was not happy about having to stay up that late or open her door after dark... but the delivery never came. On Sunday the 13th - the day AFTER the delivery was due - I contacted Customer Service again and was then told that the local florists were out of flowers and would not be able to deliver until Tuesday, May 15th... even though I had paid extra to guarantee Saturday delivery on the 12th. The customer service agent (who could barely speak English and acted as though I was being unreasonable) did not understand my anger at not having been told any of this earlier so that I could have made other arrangements. I will never do business with them again and I have vowed to tell everyone I know to avoid them also. Now it's Mother's Day and my grandmother has NOTHING."
"I ordered an arrangement back in July for my grandfathers funeral and the flowers were absolutely beautiful. I had them shipped to FL and everything was delivered on time and as promised. I then went to order MOthers day flowers and saw all of these horrible reviews about 1800 Flowers. I really didnt want to order them becuase of the reviews and also again I was shipping to FL and this time they were sent in a box. I took a chance, since I did have great service before and ordered them. They sent emails tracking the progress and when it was delivered. My step mom loved the flowers and said everything was perfect. I would recoomend 1800 Flowers they have made 2 events special and I appreciate that."
"I was very skeptical about using 1800 flowers due to all the horrible reviews. I panicked when i read all these reviews hours after I ordered a gift for my mom for mother's day. My order went in online around 11:45am Friday May 11, 2012. An email was sent to me around 2pm that the order was received by a local florist. During this time I read the reviews and debated about canceling the order. I was afraid the bouquet and balloon I ordered would come in a box and have to be arranged by my mom upon arrival which I didn't know when I ordered it. I started tracking the order online which was easy. Again I was afraid because others complained that their orders were sometimes delivered the next day or not at all. By 3:50pm the order was on the truck. I kept checking with my sis and by 5:30pm I began to worry even though the website promised it would be delivered same day by 7pm. Finally at 6:45pm my sister sent me a photo text with a very happy mom and her bouquet and balloon. The gift arrived not in a box but in a vase, beautifully arranged with a perfect bow and the balloon. It was hand delivered and arranged just like the picture. I could not have been happier. I will use 1800 flowers again and recommend their services and products. By the way, because I was so afraid from these reviews I had to write my own and its the first one ever for any product or service I have used."
"1800 Flowers SUCKS!!!!!
Was on a business trip and I ordered flowers for my wife, got an email confirmation that the order went trough, it was suppose to be delivered in same day, day passed by, NO FLOWERS showed up, day after passed by, and NO Flowers showed up, have not even received an email stating that it was canceled or something else, just plain ignored, i called them up asking them whats going on, they said SORRY it did not show up, we can offer you a full refund...., what the ..... do i need a refund from them, i wanted flowers for my wife and it did not show up i don't need them to give me a refund as no product shows up you cant charge me for it, they ruined my trip.
This company is not a reliable company and i will never deal with them again, and please if you know whats good for you reading this review, don't test them as you can be cretin something will go wrong, there is other companies out there that are much much better than them, it just my bad, i did not know about this. "
"Order went well..flowers paid for..delivery date came NO FLOWERS!! day after delivery date NO FLOWERS!! I call them and they go on to tell me they can replace the order and have the flowers to me by tuesday..two days after mothers day. 2-5 days for a refund this place sucks!! It ruined my day and my mom's day do yourself a favor and make the trip to a local florist."
"I ordered from them and put the wrong delivery date, my fault. So I called to change the date and the girl started the date change, she then gets back on the line and tells me the plant I ordered was out of stock. So I told her to leave the date and she said that even if I leave the date I could not get the plant I ordered. After waiting to speak to a supervisor she gets back on the line and tells me that I'm in luck I can still have the same plant on the original delivery date. I will never order from that joke of a company ever again."
"This is a very deceitful business that will waste your time and money. They advertise their products at a certain price, but after you go through their lengthy checkout system (either online or on the phone with an attended), in the end your cost will be approximately 40% more than advertised, as they have all kinds of charges they tack on at the end (i.e. processing fee, service charge, tax, etc.) For instance, an advertised $39.99 flower arrangement will cost you over $66 when finished. Also, I tried to use two different coupons I found online, but they would not accept them, because they told me all of the flower arrangements I was interested in were already discounted......bogus. Tip: For the best deal on flowers, just contact a florist in the town/city where you want them delivered, and order them directly from a local florist. It is much cheaper. Also, you will be dealing with Americans that pay taxes, rather than this company’s service department located oversees."
"I ordered flowers and it was a nightmare trying to talk to the representive who did not speak English. She got EVERYTHING wrong. The flowers arrived but I have not seen them. On the Web the flowers were #39.00 but the dates would not work online so I called. The flowers jumped to $49.00 and when I got the bill there was an additional service charge. I was not told about the service charge. The message that I wanted to send was garbled and did not make sense. The recipient's name was misspelled and the room number was entered twice. It was embarrassing. This company is a low class scam rip off. I will never use them again. "
"How does 1-800-Flowers stay in business after all the disappointment they generate with massive numbers of customers? Just read these posts. It's like a Ponzi scheme!
Ordered flowers for Mother's Day one month in advance and selected to have them arrive 3 days BEFORE Mother's Day... just to be safe. Their web site showed I had placed the order but little else. After two days late and no flowers, I call and after a long wait find I'm talking to some idiot in India who is basically working off a script and speaks poor English. They can't give me an answer to what happened to my order but offer to give me a $5 credit and have the flowers sent 2 days AFTER Mother's Day.
What a crock! Stay AWAY from 1-800-Flowers!!! You'll be glad you did. This company has horrible customer service and deserves to wilt and die just like their lousy flowers! The only thing they "deliver" is ** MASSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT ** and lots of heartaches.
"
"LMAO...I worked for these morons for one day (2012). STAY AWAY. They do NOT care about you or your flowers. THEY are NOT the florist. Use Google and call a florist in the intended city of delivery yourself! The local florists can't stand them either. Or any wire service for that matter."
"I won't use 1-800-Flowers again. I ordered flowers for my mother-in-law to be delivered Yesterday, May 9. She got them today, May 10, late in the afternoon. I guess she can enjoy the vase because the flowers are dead - presumabely as a result of riding around on a hot UPS truck for 2 days after they shipped here. "
"I will NEVER use 1-800-Flowers again. I ordered flowers for Mother's Day 8 days in advance. I requested the flowers to be delivered on THURSDAY, 3 days before Mother's Day. The confirmation email offers a phone number and email address for changes. DON'T BOTHER. I called THREE days early to have the time adjusted, I didn't even change the day, and I was given the run-around for three straight days. AND the time was not changed. Horrible business, false advertising, service was no more professional than an elementary school student. Don't waste your time and money."
"I wish I had read these reviews first.
On Monday night I tried to place an order using their online system. The system kept bringing me back to the same page and saying there was an error on the page. But it never identified the error. An Online chat specialist finally tried to assist. He told me that he had placed my order, but we got kicked out of chat before he could give me the confirmation number.
Tuesday morning, my credit card did not show any transactions. So I called and spoke with anoter rep and he said he could not find the original order. He also placed an order, but again we got cut off before he gave me a confirmation number. He promised to send the confirmation number by email but it never arrived.
Tuesday evening I received an e-mail notice from them saying that my credit card had been declined. I called and spoke with another rep who said it had not been declined. She said the problem was that they "don't have any florists in the delivery area." She said the flowers would have to be sent by UPS. I asked her to check whether my other orders had gone thru. She couldn't find any other orders. She offered to complete my order. But the telephone line had a lot of static and she kept putting me on hold. After half an hour of dealing with her, I got annoyed and hung up.
I called back and asked for a US rep. I was told to call back and I would automatically get a US rep. I did and he was the nicest rep around. He found 3 deleted orders. He also tried to complete the order, but we lost the phone connection before I got a confirmation number.
I called back again and got an asian. He told me they don't have any US reps and offered to take my order. I said thank you but I am tired of dealing with your firm.
I got on a competitor's website and within 10 minutes I had completed my order for a virtually identical bouquet and printed the confirmation number "
"Awful service.! Ordered flowers for my sister's special birthday. They guaranteed delivery for the next day. Her birthday came and went and the next day still had not received the flowers. Called the following day and spoke to a rep. who states she couldn't find any record of the order even though I explained it was noted as a transaction on my credit card. Took all the information down again and stated she would complete this order and give a 15% discount and $20 gift card ( I suppose so someone else could be disappointed on their special day). At the end of the order information and one hour on the phone, the rep. tells me these flowers are not available for delivery to her area. I would never order from them again and want to alert other consumers as well."
