"Did not deliver flowers to the funeral service though received two days of notice. Terrible company. Stay away from them if you ever want to make sure your flowers are there on time for any special occasion."
"Excellent - Thank you 1-800flowers simply Woderful service, quality, delivery . All my future orders will be done on this wonderful site. I am really very confused with the the negative opinions about them. Infact i made a search of reviews about this site before i made my order all wer so negative But i tried my Luck & it was very successful Thank you again 1-800flowers. "
"The worst experience ever! My boyfriend spent over $300 to have 3 dozen roses and chocolates delivered to my work on Valentine's Day. Well...that day came and went with nothing delivered. He tried calling them that evening but was unable get through due to their "high call volume". After waiting on hold for 45 the following day...the rep explained that the order hadn't been sent to UPS for shipping. In fact, the flower shop never created the order! They took 50% off the order (I feel they should have refunded him completely) and assured him the flowers would be delivered on Thursday AND the chocolates wouldn't be ready until Friday. The flowers that were delivered looked nothing like the picture online and were droopy and wilted by the following day. We will never use this service again...even if it was free!!"
"EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED. I ordered flowers for Valentine's Day and paid the fee for delivery and the service charge. I received a call from you ON VALENTINE'S DAY explaining that the flowers would not be delivered as promised. I negotiated a discount with a "manager" and was told they would be delivered two days later (on 2/16/2012). I then received two or three more phone calls and I explained to the people that called me that I had already agreed to an alternate delivery date. The flowers were NEVER DELIVERED. I looked up my order today to discover it was cancelled on Valentine's Day.
This is EXTREMELY POOR customer service. They went back on not only an original promise to deliver on Valentine's Day, but another promise to deliver 2 days later and I have no opportunity to do anything else since the occasion is past. If I did my job this poorly, I would expect to be fired. I will not be using 1800flowers.com again."
"I'm really sorry I did not do my research first. Sadly, I was out of town for V-day, and I thought it would be nice to send my wife flowers. Like so many others, I placed my V-day order online, got confirmation for delivery either Monday (13th) or Tuesday (14th) - either day was fine with me. And like so many others, V-day came and went with no flowers. I tried calling (on-hold, reps can't help now, etc). I tried email (sorry, due to volume we can't answer right away, blah, blah, blah). Finally, Thursday after midnight, I got through to a Cust Svc Rep. Thankfully, she was able to see immediately that the order sat and sat, no action. She was apologetic, but tried to convince me to have the order re-delivered. No thanks - V-day was Tuesday, not Friday. I insisted on a refund, and she obliged. She even offered me a $20 disc on future orders, but I declined. I will not return to this outfit - they simply do not have their act together."
"Where is the -1 button on this rating? Don't waste your time and money with these guys. They didn't even deliver this product and it took me 6 hours and countless phone calls to get a hold of them. Only after three days I got a hold of the "jen" an agent. Her offer was to refund 50% of my money and re-send the flowers another date. I asked to speak to a supervisor and "Gigie" a manager came online. Two hours passed and Her offer was not any better. Nita is "Gigie"'s supervisor offer was to return my money. I then asked to speak to her supervisor "Sheila Leonado". Nita put me on hold and never got to me."
"I will NEVER (even if they were free) use 1800Flowers again! I ordered roses for my wife about 2 weeks prior to Valentine's Day, paid part of the balance with a Groupon and the rest with a credit card. I received numerous email confirmations thanking and confirming my order and delivery date. 02/14 Valentine's Day...no flowers?!?! Called customer service and lines were down or had a 20 min or more wait. Finally reached someone on 02/15 that said my order was cancelled on 02/04 and that they left a voice message advising of the cancellation...i received no such message. I was told that they would resend the flowers on 02/16...02/16...no flowers again!?!? Called back, and was told that the order had been cancelled and a full refund of $ 14.00 had been issued. My groupon alone was $ 40.00 and the credit card charge was $ 19.99. I am still fighting to get my money refunded, as Valentines day has come an gone and my wife and I will never get that day back! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...SUPPORT A LOCAL FLORIST...especially if you want the flowers to be delivered!!!!!!!!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS BUT HAVE TO GIVE 1.
I ordered flowers one day in advance to the delivery date, i had feeling calling them on the delivery date at round 5 pm to make sure it happened....of course it didnt Reroute to a different address, guaranteed delivered till 7 pm...yeah right. Of course did not take place. Flowers delivered 1 day delayed, flowers old ( one already died ) not the flowers I ordered and a smaller size. They should go by 1800prank or better 1800arrogant. Worst service I ever received, unfriendly, unprofessional and a " I dont care " attitude. After promising and not delivering they really wanted to offer USD 20 off for the next purchase...NOOOOO !! EVERYBODY DONT ORDER THERE !!! DONT !!!!! For me I go and support my local flower shop from now on. 1800flowers=lazy, arrogant !!"
"An interesting exchange with customer support. I wrote:
"I was unhappy to discover that one of the roses purchased for my wife for Valentine's Day had the bulb severed from the stem (hanging by a thread, so to speak) when the box was first opened. I do not know if such could occur during shipping, but I noted that the shipping box was undamaged. The other 23 roses were beautiful.
It does dampen your spirits when your gift is not as it was intended. My wife was very gracious, as always, and acted as if it did not matter, suggesting that I pin it on my lapel as a boutineer. I did, but I still was disappointed.
Mail order can be difficult. I certainly would not have left the florist shop with a damaged rose, but have no option when it is mailed. Sure is convenient, but still comes with a consumer disadvantage."
They responded:
"Thank you for contacting us.
We have reviewed your order and we figure out that this order was successfully process and scheduled to be delivered to your recipient at your selected delivery date. As much as we would like to make changes to this order, however, we cannot process your request. We apologize for the inconvenience"
I spent about $80 for 24 medium sized, standard red roses. Nothing special. One shows up severed. Down to 23. Then I get a non-responsive email from them. For value and service, these folks clearly OVER-PROMISE and UNDER-DELIVER (no pun intended!)."
"What many people don't realize is that 1-800 flowers is not a brick and mortar business. When you place your order with them they simply do what anyone with internet can do, find a local florist! They cash your $80 and call local florists to see if they can get it done for $60 (example). No wonder their customers feel they aren't getting their money's worth! The additional problem with using these companies on a holiday is that all the reputable florists already have more business than they can effectively handle and many will turn there phones off. My local florist even turns off wire orders from reputable national companies like FTD and Teleflora at peak times so you wonder who even designs these orders!
If you send flowers, google and look for a physical address!!!
"
"Terrible! First, I ordered flowers for our 5th year wedding anniversary for my wife. I placed the order a week a head. They delivered the flowers after 5:00 pm and wife was gone for the day. Even though I had a bad experience the first time, I decided to give them another chance for Valentine's day. So, I ordered 24 roses, which were quite costly. My wife sent me a picture the next day, half of the flowers were dead. How can flowers die so quickly, not to mention that the roses were very small and and it did not look like anything like the picture from the website! How can a company like such, sale such low quality products at such a high price! I will never ever order flowers from 1-800 flowers and I do not suggest it to anyone either!"
"1-800-Flowers.com — My boyfriend has been using 1-800 Flowers since the beginning of our relationship, so almost 3 years now. We have never ever had a problem with them. However, on Valentine's Day - my flowers never arrived. They never called or emailed my boyfriend or myself (although they had all of my numbers, even my work number which is where the flowers were being delievered). I called them Tuesday evening (Valentine's Day) to report what happened. They were unsympathetic and told me they could redeliver my flowers for Thrusday, Feb.1 6th. When I asked why Thursday instead of Wednesday (the day after Valentine's Day) the operator calmy said "Our deliver guy already has a lot of delivers to make Wednesday". Clearly he had a lot to make Tuesday as well. Anyways, the woman said I would get my flowers on Thursday (same assortment) with a 50% refund to my boyfriend. I asked her to send my boyfriend an email confirming the details of our discussion. By Tuesday morning my boyfriend had not received a confirmation email, so I called 1-800 Flowers again, I spoke to another operator, this time a man. He told me that the woman had put in the request for the confirmation email and he wasn't sure why I did not receive it. I told him neither do I, but to please send it again. He said he did. Thursday morning - my boyfriend still had not received a confirmation email. While on the phone with 1-800 Flowers trying to find out where our confirmation email was, my flowers (2 days late) were delivered. Immediately, when I walked up to the receptionist desk at my office I noticed that the tulips were orange/red and pink and not purple like my boyfriend had request. The roses looked wet and dry all the same time. Just basically very run down. The card from my boyfriend had the Delivery Date as February 14, 2012. When I saw the card and the way the flowers look it was obvious that they had not made my assortment fresh like A) the should have and B) I warned them to. So I again called 1-800 Flowers. I spoke to a woman named Nikki, who was very helpful, apologetic and just great. She told me she could get me a full refund, my flowers redelivered today, with the proper assortment and a 20% discount for future purchases (Obviously not happening). Nikki had to call me back - because she had the call the florist. I missed her call and when I called back, I had to start all over again with yet another operator. Who told me, she could not guarantee my redelivery today. After waiting on hold for 7 minutes, she tells me - that she found a florist but they do not have purple tulips. I said you know what, that is fine - At this point I just want FRESH FLOWERS! She told me she expressed to them the need for this to be delievered today (in a sarcastic tone of course) and said they would have them to my office by 5:00pm. I informed her, that is fine. I work till 5:30 and expect them by the close of business today. FRESH. NEVER AGAIN will my boyfriend or I EVER order from 1-800 Flowers. I understand mistakes happen - but I do not feel they worked to their full potential to make me a happy customer after a 3 day battle."
"What a horrible experience! Order 2 gifts for grand daughters to be delivered on Valentines day. They delivered the wrong gifts 5 days early. Called customer service and they hung up on me 6 times. Got through once and was told they couldn't hear me. Tried 4 times to use website customer service. Finally got a response this morning - "sorry you the merchandise didn't meet your expectations". No it didn't - it was flat wrong. Still trying to get a full refund.
I WILL NEVER USE 1800FLOWERS AGAIN. They can't be trusted to get it right."
"I ordered flowers to be delivered on Valentines Day over 3 weeks early. Soon after, I realized that my boyfriend would be out of town for business. I emailed 1800flowers and rescheduled the delivery for 02/21 instead, which I even received email confirmation for. Then on 02/14 I received an email saying my flowers were successfully delivered. I have tried to call and email customer service to request a refund and let them know of my disappointment but yet to receive a response."
"Two out of three years have provided late delivery on Valentines day flowers ordered and paid for at least two weeks in advance. Poor service seems to be the norm rather than the exception."
