"I will never again order from 1800flowers.com. Not only did I waste $76 for an arrangement that was never delivered, I still have been unable to get in contact with anyone from the company. After being on hold with them for 20 minutes, the line was suddenly disconnected. Also, my emails have gone unanswered. 1800flowers.com is a crock of s***!"
"Wish I had read the reviews before ordering. I saw an online ad for an adorable arrangement which I decided to order for my Mom's birthday. I ordered one week in advance of delivery. My credit card was charged immediately. The flowers were NOT delivered. I called customer service at 5 pm; they put me on hold to "contact the florist"...came back several minutes later and said they couldn't reach the florist but sent them an email. WHAT???? If you can't reach your own contractor, you shouldn't be in business with them. Plus I ruined the surprise by asking my mom if she'd received them, silly me I expected they'd be deliverd by 5. If they don't provide me a quick refund I'll be asking my credit card to reverse the charge."
"Box with flowers were dropped off outside my door in 100 degrees. On opening the box all flowers were dead. This is a total disgrace that someone should receive a gift that was meant for a happy occasion in that type of condition. This is highway robbery. "
"I could've done much better if i had just picked up something from the grocery store. The arrangement looked nothing like it did in the picture. I was embarassed that they looked so low budget. That was my first and last time I will order from them. 2 stars is for the fact they did deliver on time and the flowers were fresh. It was just a very poor looking arrangement."
"DO NOT USE!! Their florist could not find Purdue University Animal Teaching Hospital to deliver flowers for my daughters 25th birthday. They were unable to even contact the florist.
They were given the complete address, her name and number, and the number to the reception desk.
Horrible Service!!
"
"A horrible experience. I ordered flowers in the morning to be delivered same day.
A surprise congratulations to my six year old niece.
At 3:11 I received a delivery confirmation email. The email stated that THE DELIVERY HAS BEEN MADE.
At 3:45 I received a call from the recipient. I asked about the delivery because she hadn't mentioned anything and low and behold there was no delivery.
So believing that the item was delivered, I spoiled the surprise thanks to the CONFIRMATION email sent by the florist. WHY did the send the confirmation email ahead of the actual delivery? What did they gain by doing that other than ruining the surprise for a little girl. I will look else where for flowers and gifts in the future."
"I made an order over the phone because I could not find a lilac bouquet on the website. The assistant on the phone was horrible and got the billing address and greeting card message completely wrong. There were grammatical errors and everything. It took two calls and an e-mail to get everything correct on the order.
Then, on the day of delivery I get a call almost at the end of the business day saying they couldn't find a florist to fill the order. They offered to deliver the flowers the next day for 50% off, but that doesn't work so well on an anniversary,
I will never use this service again!"
"My flowers arrived a day late, but they were in great condition. "
"THE FLOWERS RECEIVED WERE NOT AS PICTURED.THEY WERE MINIATURE.HALF WERE ALREADY BROWN AND 6 BUDS WERE BROKEN OFF.IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM WERE THEIR A HUNDRED THIS WAS A TOTAL RIP OFF I WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF GOING TO A GROCERY STORE AND SPENDING A THIRD OF WHAT I DID ON THE GARBAGE THEY SENT."
"My grandfather's funeral was Saturday. I ordered flowers through 1-800-flowers on Thurs. When I arrived at the funeral on Saturday, the flowers were not there. I called customer service and they assured me that the flowers were there. I was standing in the church! The church had never received them. Wonder how many times they tell an out-of-state customer that their flowers had been delivered? They refunded my money but that wasn't the point. I will NEVER use them again!"
"I gave them 3 tries each time there were issues. 1st time flowers never delivered, 2nd time flowers were not delivered until 2 days later and that was because I called them daily, 3rd time flowers never delivered. I should have learned but I believe that mistakes happen. This is the absolute last time I will ever order from this company. If you have a spoecial day and would like to make someone smile don't go near this company. They are the absolute worst."
"I will NEVER shop with 1800 Flowers again! They have terrible service and cannot keep their promises. The representatives are RUDE and dont care at all. I ordered flowers for my mother in law on Monday, May 2 and I specifically put on my order that I wanted them delivered Friday, May 6 because Mothers Day was Sunday, May 8. I got a email On Friday and it said that My delivery date would be Friday but they didnt even ship it until Friday! So here it is Monday, NIGHT and they still have not arrived! I called 3 times before they gave me a refund and we will see if they even REALLY do that. I spent EXTRA money to have the flowers delivered on Friday which upsets me even more! I am so disgusted! That was the worst $75 ever spent and completely useless!!!! This company needs to be shut down!!!!!"
"WORST SERVICE EVER!! I recently used 1-800-flowers to send my mom flowers and a balloon for mothers day. I had originally sent them for saturday because i knew my mom was not going to be home sunday, well the flowers never got there, she waited from 9 am to 7pm. I called customer service and they had me on hold for more than 20 minutes then finally they offered to resend them at no charge on mothers day and give me a discount..... the flowers my mom got on mothers day were wilted and some broken, had no roses (which i had paid for), and no balloon (which i paid extra for). I was so embarrassed with my mom. When i called customer service again they had me on hold for more than 20 minutes and they did not want to give me a refund. I WILL DEFINITELY NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!"
"If 0 stars were an options I would have selected that. What a lousy experience. I made 4 orders for Mother's Day and three delieveries were no problem. The last order for my wife, which I paid extra to have it delivered closer to the date rather than some random time earlier in week never arrived. No alerts, no calls saying there was problem with the delivery, nothing. Presumably, since they were using UPS they were able to track the order's deliver status, but apparently they don't pass that info on to the customer. Needless to say, a day later I am still mending fences of wife who is hurt and believes that she was forgotten on Mother's Day. But, here is the kicker. When I called on Mother's Day to check the order status and complain that they hadn't been delivered by Saturday - explaining that this was a major problem and how deep I was in the doghouse, the agent laughed. What kind of customer service training do they use there! She laughed and said "oh, well. It happens and she'll get over it." Unbelieveable. It was awful. Instead of doing what she could to at least sympathize or offer to recitify the situation, she mocked my situation. It was a good 5 minutes before I heard the first apology from her. And, by the end of the call she finally was willing to say that they were at fault. The remedies were to resend the flowers by the following Thursday -- not even the following Monday and give me a $20 credit or they could refund my money in 5 business days and give me a $20 credit. That was it! I demanded the refund get posted to my account that day, told to keep their $20 gift certificate because they will not be receiving my business again. The agent made no effort to try to retain my business, no offer to expedite my order or ask me if any other remedy would satisify me. She seemed only to happy to lose my business. I had beeen a customer for years, but no more. The agent told me that I would get an email regarding my account being credited -- a day later no email other than another marketing email from them to buy a dozen roses. "
"I just had the worst experience with 1800flowers and I will never use them again. I ordered flowers for my mother in law and for my mother for Mothers Day. My husband and I spent 130 dollars in total. My mother in law received her flowers today (mothers day) at 10:30 am. My mother, who lives only 10 minutes away never received hers. My husband called 1800flowers at 6:30pm to see why she had not received them yet. They told us they would be there shortly. She never received them at all. What bothers me most is that they say they were very busy and she would get them now on tues. Tuesday is 2 days after mothers day. That is useless to me. We are out of the country and wanted my mom to have flowers sent to her home to show our love for not being there. Instead she recieved nothing. So I got a supervisor on the phone and told them I do not want them sent there on tuesday I want my full refund back. They offered me a refund just for my mothers order not for both orders. As a customer I trusted 1800flowers to deliver an order and they dissapointed me. So what is giving me a refund of just that order doing for me? NOTHING. I told them I feel that they should refund me all of my money as I was so upset that my mom didnt receive her flowers I didnt want them to have any of my money. Anyway they didnt refund me. Had they refunded me my full order, maybe I would have felt that they did the right thing, made up for my dissappointment and maybe I would have used them in the future....but now never again will I ever use them or refer them!"
