"Honestly the worst experience ever. I never recieved the flowers after being told, time and time again that they were on the way. Will never again order from them. I am a very understanding guy and the things that took place today are unexcusable. Flat out worst experience ever with any online company."
"I see a lot of bad reviews on here, and my experience was much better, but I also ordered for a birthday when they are likely much less overbooked. From the reviews I read I might be skeptical to use them for a major holiday like Valentine's day or Mother's day."
"Not a satisfied customer. I placed the order on a Thursday morning for an early friday delivery and they were instead delivered to my wife's place of business very late Friday afternoon. So much for same day delivery and 100% satisfaction guaranteed. I communicated with a customer service rep who offered only a pathetic apology. I will not use this service again."
"I should have seen all these reviews before. Ordered flowers fro my Wife's Birthday. She received a voice mail on her birthday saying she had a flowers order but cannot be delivered because my card had some problems. Spoiled my flowers. I checked my card was charged, I had received a delivery confirmation e-mail. Talked to the customer rep. who was not very nice. I asked them why my wife was called and I was not informed if there was any problem with my card, he strongly denied my wife received any call, inspite of she still having a voice mail for this call. He accepted my card was charged but flowers were not delivered due to some unknown reason and delivery confirmation mail was an error. Occasion was spoiled. They agreed to refund the money, but after reading all these reviews I am sure that would not be without trouble.
Stay away from them."
"Ordered a bouquet of orchids and a box of "proudly Canadian chocolates".Received roses with browning petals and a box of chocolates from Ohio. Once I realized what was delivered I called customer service and they said that it's common and there is nothing they can do because they have a substitution policy and its the customers responsibility to read they policies. I asked her why, if its so common, do they not state this with the other policies at the bottom of their confirmation email. She says that she'll ask her IT dept. I ask if orders are being sent electronically to local florists to fulfill orders why do they not have a system to inform clients via email that the order will be changed? She says that they dont operate like that. I checked the sub policy and they say It is very unlikely since the vast majority of our orders are produced at our own production facility. For the year 2006, our substitution rate was 1.3%." Either they got the order wrong and is using this policy as a back up, Or they purposely dont put the policy on the confirmation page because there is a $10 cahrge if you cancel ur order any more than an 1hr after it is placed...over all bad experience.... "
"I ordered a gift for my husband who is in the US ( while I am away in India). The order was never delivered, but I got an email stating delivery was made. I called their customer service asking for a refund. Nothing has happened so far. No response to emails either. Cant anything be done at all? How can an online store syphon money out from people without actually delivering a product? Someone please advice."
"Horrible experience with them. Ordered Valentine's flowers that never showed up. Called their customer service and got a voice recording saying they were too busy to take calls (probably from all of there mistakes)so go to their website for customer service. I did so and after two days was never contacted. Called in and was offered flower delivery 4 days after Valentine's day! Yeah, great timing! I opted for a full refund. Two weeks later, still haven't received my credit, so I had to call in again. We'll see if it shows up this time.
Needless to say i will NEVER use 1800Flowers again! You'd expect this from a small business, not a national chain.
NEVER NEVER USE THEM IF THE FLOWERS ARE FOR AN IMPORTANT OCCASION- AND I THINK THEY ALL ARE."
"Ordered online on 10 FEB for guaranteed deliver on Valentines. Order did not arrive on Valentine's Day; no information on the customer service website. Following day my wife was told the flowers would be delivered. Flowers were dropped off at the subdivision gatehouse after 8pm on the 15th...the day after Valentine's. The flowers were wilted and unacceptable as a gift, but we were given no opportunity to reject them because they were dropped at the gate, despite the flower delivery having been pre-cleared at the gate. Customer service email reply:
"We apologize that our service did not meet your expectations. Our standard of service is much higher than what we have displayed. We strive to provide world class customer service. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused by and hope to continue serving your gifting needs in the future."
Boilerplate reply; no offer to send the flowers again; no offer of compensation; no replay to my email follow up.
A complete waste of $100; instead of pleasantly surprising my wife while I was out of town, it turned into a project and an ordeal that wasted both of our time and all of our money. "
"I received flowers from my husband on Valentine’s Day, at my office, however, the next day to my disappointment they were all withered. I emailed 1800fowers.com expressing my disappointment, they responded indicating that they will be sending out a replacement order the next day. I found out later that day, after mentioning the incident to my husband that he had also ordered chocolates to be delivered with the flowers, we decided to wait for the replacement order to arrive before contacting them about the missing chocolate, giving them the benefit of the doubt, and also, hoping the chocolates would arrive with the replacement order, so we wouldn’t have to waste more time on this. The replacement flowers came, but without the chocolates, again! I would not recommend 1800flowers.com to anyone. They are a RIP-OFF and a waste of time and money, and can certainly ruin a special occasion."
"This was the worst online experience I ever had online. I believe this company must be going out of business. I placed two orders on 2/10/11 for Valentines day. One order got delivered the other order never arrived. Upon contacting customer service they send you back a case number and never respond to it. Getting them on the phone takes 20 or more minutes and then you get someone who is totally incapable of helping you. Today is the 17th and they still didnt arrive. After four phone calls, two to a supervisor, every promise they made was broken. I was told I would be called back several times with no phone call. I was told the person I sent the flowers to would be called with an apology, that never happened. I can't wait to get my bill so that I can stop payment."
"This is the most pathetic site for ordering flowers. Please do not use this site for any future orders. Pass this message on to everyone you know. I spent $100 on flowers to be delivered on Valentine;s Day, They never got delivered.
The customer service is even pathetic. they will never take your call. Online system also does not work. Please take them to court and sue them.
This service sucks. these a****les need to be tought a lesson."
"Well, much like everyone else, my experience with 1-800flowers was very disappointing! I placed the order online on Feb. 10th to be delivered on Valentine's Day. My order was actually delivered and on Valentine's Day, HOWEVER close to half the petite rose buds fell to the floor when they were unwrapped and the other flowers were sad and not fresh at all.
I tried to contact 1800flowers via phone and could not get anyone to pickup, only their automative system that kept hanging up on me saying "all representatives were busy". I have repeatedly emailed them over the past three days and still no response from them.
I have used proflowers.com and NEVER had any problems at all. The only reason I used 1800flowers this time was because they had a nice pink vase that I knew would be a huge hit! Well, I'll never make that mistake again...I'm going back to Proflowers.com and I'll never use 1800flowers again!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Ordered Valentine's flowers and they never arrived. After speaking with 2 different rude people and one nice lady in India, I cancelled the order at 9:30 pm on Feb 15th. RUN FROM THESE CLOWNS!!!!"
"MY BOYFRIEND ORDERED FLOWERS TO BE SENT ON VALENTINES DAY TO MY OFFICE AND THEY ARRIVED TWO DAYS LATER!! WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. TOTALLY RUINED THE SURPRISE. AND VALENTINES ONLY COMES ONCE A YEAR. DO NOT RECOMMEND 1800FLOWERS TO ANYONE WHO EXPECTS THEIR FLOWERS TO ARRIVE ON TIME!!!"
"I called 1-800-Flowers to place an order for flowers to be delivered to my wife on Valentine's Day, and after a brief wait (roughly 1:00 minute) I was greeted by a salesperson (Carrie). It took me no time at all to place my order, and I was assured that they would be delivered to her office prior to the standard closing time of 6:00pm. They never arrived. I tried calling customer service, however after waiting on hold for 45 minutes, a "customer service" rep answered and said "what do you expect? It's Valentines Day!"... subsequently, he hung up on me. I have tried contacting 1-800-F****ers via email, and calling again to no avail. My wife still hasn't received the order, and my credit card has now processed the $198 charge. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau, and have filed a dispute with my CC company.
Never again,
"
