"I placed an order on 11/11 and as of today I have not received my shoes or any updates as of when I will be receiving them. Very dissapointed. Now after reading the other reviews I'm hoping after waiting for o long I will at least receive the right shoes.****Update**** I have received my shoes today (after 12 days) the shoes are exactly what I ordered, size and style.Will I order again? most likely not, unless the deal is too good to miss."

In the beginning I was a skeptic and compared some of the shoes I ordered with the exact ones at the mall just to make sure of their authenticity. The quality in my experience has been great. "I will never shop at 6pm.com again. I received shoes that were the wrong size. I had to pay for the shipping, which cost half the price of the shoe, which was on major discount...

They said they would refund me for the shoes (hasn't happened yet) but not the shipping, despite the fact that it was their error. When I complained I received three identical form emails from three different people, none of whom actually addressed the issue. Terrible customer service.

11/29/11 Update in response to the 6pm response below: You have still missed the point: the European size of the shoe (made in Europe)did not correspond to the correct American size. It should be listed as smaller on the website.

I have been refunded for the shoe, and appreciate the refunding of the shipping fees. I'll check with my bank that the refund has been processed. Thank you

I'm so sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with 6pm.com. This is definitely not something that I like to hear. I did read your email correspondence and can definitely see your point of view in regards to the item being sized too small. Unfortunately, we do not control the way a manufacturer sizes an item. Instead, we would use that information toward the next purchase. For example, if you were a size 8 and you order an 8 and it is too small, we would know that the brand in question may run small compared to others.

We generally don't refund the shipping for sizing issues such as the above mentioned because we don't size the merchandise. As unfortunate as it is to many customers, a business decision was made to have customers pay for their returns at their expense. However, they are able to use the carrier of their choice and choose how fast the return reaches our warehouse. I will send your feedback along in regards to having free returns for customers. You never know, maybe we will in the future.

While it isn't much, as a courtesy I refunded your shipping fees back to your account. You should see the credit post to your account within the next 2-10 business days by your financial institution. Your refund for the shoes was also issued back to your account and you should see that soon as well.

I do know that you advised that you will no longer shop with us, and we respect your decision to shop elsewhere. I wish there was more than I could do on our end but I do hope that I have helped a little.

"Absolutely horrendous. I can't say that enough. No other site has ever sent me an item so completely different from that which I ordered. Not only was the shoe completely different, but so was the size. At first I thought it might just be this one time that they made a mistake, but now I see that I'm not the only one who's had this problem. In addition, they bury their contact number somewhere on their site so it's nearly impossible to find. It's as if they know they're horrible and don't want people to call. I hope they will process my return in a timely manner. NEVER shop here."

"I ordered and paid but they did not ship. No call, no email no nothing. So now after weeks of waiting I must contact THEM to see about my order, only to get a feeble made-up story about 'the shoes didn't pass our quality check' (like they check every item that they ship out... right). Now, really... they don't expect folks to believe that drivel; do they?
Oh.. did I mention that they charged my credit card over 3 weeks ago but have not issued a credit, even though they never even shipped the item? Here we go again - I have to contact THEM in order to get them to live up to their obligation. Geez!
I suggest that you avoid 6PM - What appears to be a good deal can go south very quickly. Also, shoes dot com com will match the price anyway - and their customer service is second-to-none. Avoid 6PM!

Anyway... they replied (below) about 20 min. after I posted my initial complaint (they make time to respond to this but no time to contact customers when they screw up an order or issue a refund afterwards).
AND.....As you can see from the plethora of crappy customer service complaints that abound here, they are not REALLY trying to 'FIX' anything, just offering up more lip-service rather than REAL service.
They try and claim that they 'try' and check every order, but with all of the folks getting totally the wrong item, it illustrates that that is just more lip service designed to cover up their shoddy inventory control.
Avoid 6PM - AVOID 6PM! Any 'perceived' savings is just a trap.

"*Update* After writing this review I was contacted by Zappos and offered a return shipping label. That was nice, but it hasn't changed the fact that I will not shop there again~

Although I was happy with the fast shipping from 6PM.com that is as far as it went. I ordered a pair of size 9 Bogs boots (which I have tried on in several stores so I know that they fit well) and when I received them I couldn't even fit my foot in them! They were smaller from heel to toe than my size 9 running shoe! I found the 1-800 number and gave them a call. I asked if the shipping could be refunded since they were definitly NOT a size 9. The operator told me no. I could understand if I ordered the wrong size, BUT I ORDERED THE RIGHT SIZE!!! I will never buy from 6PM or Zappos again!

"Owned by Zappo's, their discount, seconds, b stock clearing house and you have to pay for return shipping when things are flawed or don't fit so add about $15.00 minimum to your orders to ship both ways just to take a chance that things will fit or not be flawed..
I've bought shoes, a suit, pants and shirts and only once did I receive one that wasn't flawed or manufactured poorly. These are not first quality by any means and they should mention that online but they don't. Any doubt? check Zappo's sight for the same exact merchandise and look at their prices..so if you want to take a chance good luck. I won't be going back.

"I've been searching for the perfect riding boots for weeks now, and I was glad to get an email highlighting some new discounts. A pair of riding boots were part of the daily deal, and were more than in my price range. The only thing I was hesitant about was that the circumference of the boot in the product description was about two inches smaller than the widest part of my calf. There were no reviews on the product, so there was no way to know what other people thought of them.

I inquired about the boots on 6pm's Facebook page, expecting at the very least to get a response from another user who'd purchased them as well. Instead, the person running the company's page responded, letting me know that there was a stretchy inset to the boot for added space if needed. I had other questions, which were answered within a matter of hours, if not minutes. I see that other people have a terrible time getting a hold of them. Try the FB page! It's really worth a shot!!!

Anyway, the boots were shipped very quickly. I ordered them Thursday and they're estimated to be delivered on Tuesday. I'm hoping that they aren't worn or torn and I will be very disappointed if they're too small! But it's worth it with free shipping and free return shipping!

"This has been one of the worst online shopping experiences I've ever had. I bought a pair of boots, and waited a week for then to be shipped out. Finally they arrived, and they were totally the wrong item. So I contacted customer service and they were somewhat helpful. They didn't make me pay the return shipping fee for there mistake at least. "ABYSMAL

6pm.com is responsible for the worst online purchasing experience I have ever had. It took over a week for them to ship my order. I emailed to have the order canceled, but not only did they send the package anyway, they RESPONDED TO MY "WHY IS MY ORDER DELAYED?" MESSAGE AFTER IT HAD BEEN SHIPPED AND TO MY "CANCEL MY ORDER" EMAIL AFTER I HAD RECEIVED THE PACKAGE! They had no idea what was going on with my order and were apparently so incapable of handling customer service that they were behind on responding to inquiries to the point I described above. Please keep in mind that I was only emailing because their phones were completely off. I called today and the machine that answered SAID THEY'RE CLOSED!

The order arrived at my house and clearly I wasn't there to refuse it, so I paid return shipping today. Please, before you order call 1-***-***-**** (which is the only contact number I could ever even find!) and see for yourself if this is a company that deserves business of any sort. I became complacent with online ordering and didn't do my research on this one and I am genuinely upset by the way this company handled my purchases.

And as a final note: if you're reading this and you work for Zappos, you should be embarrassed.

UPDATE: 11/8/11
I got an email today saying that they had RECEIVED my return package. This is nearly a month after I returned the package with my own money and I am certain it didn't take UPS that long to get the package to them. So, they have dropped the ball again and to add insult to injury their email also stated that they might be returning the money to me on a per pair of shoes basis, which may mean I'll get three different deposits. If I get the money before Christmas I'll be happy.

THE BETTER NEWS:

The database that stores your critical credit card and other payment data was NOT affected or accessed.

"I ordered a bag from 6pm (since it had the lowest price) and started reading reviews after I placed an order. And then I read about all the bad reviews such as they send u torn and worn produtcs, which freaked me out. I e-mailed them 2 times tried to cancel my order, but never got back to me. So I kinda had to receive the bag and the shipping was about 4 business days. After I put the bag out of the box, I was like.. wow! its exactly what I ordered same as the picture, no worn, to torn! I was so satisfied with the transaction on 6pm and ordered another bag;) and this time shipping only took 3 business days. But! e-mail is the only way to contact them and they don't reply immediately. That was the ONLY thing I didn't like about 6pm."
