"I purchased 2 pairs of boots recently from 6pm.com. I have purchased from both eBags and Zappos and have been thoroughly satisfied with the service. BOTH of the packages received from 6pm.com were poorly packed (no, absolutely NONE, fillers in the box). Both of the boxes had a large chunk missing because there wasn't anything inside the box to protect it from collapsing under other packages. I tried both of them on in store before I placed my orders. The cowboy boots I am extremely satisfied with, but the other pair had a defective zipper and I am in the process of returning it for a refund because there are no available replacements. "

"I have been browsing online for quite some time, trying to find an online store that would sell quite reasonably, yet affordable shoes. I came upon 6pm.com and decided to try. I have purchased so many shoes from them, yet I have to be constantly returning them, because each time I make an order I keep having problems. It is either they are too small, or too big. I purchased some size 8 wide shoes, when I tried them on, they were too tight. Then I returned them, and purchased an 8 1/2 wide, now they are too big. I have decided to shop with Zappos instead, their shoes may be a little bit expensive, but I believe that they sell better brands, and one will find the right size. I have only been refunded for one pair of shoes and I have sent back four. I am very disappointed in 6pm. I also have some more that I will return because these shoes are so uncomfortable. I bought these shoes for family members, and they too are complaining about the size and texture of these shoes. I agree with the other customers, 6pm is an imitation and nothing like Zappos. I love Zappos and I would recommend Zappos, not 6pm to my friends, or anyone!"

"Please stay away from the website. They sell products with deficit but does not describe it in listing. It's very obvious that the damage is not caused by the shipping but item itself. This site does not have quality assurance before shipping out the item while they sell damaged item with disclosure!!!!!

I had to pay the return shipping for the damaged item. They take forever to respond to your email. I prefer email contact than call the 800 # so I can have confirmation in writing. Their customer service is not responsive or take a very long time, or your message is random figures not readable, or throw the ball to the next customer service rep...

"BUYER BEWARE!!! I will never shop this store again. I spent hours looking for shoes that would work in my size. I ordered two pairs of boots and a jacket. One pair of boots was supposed to be a 9.5, which is a half size bigger than I usually wear. They ended up being so small that my toes literally had to curl at the end just to get them on, plus they are cheap leather imitation and very cheaply made. The other pair of boots fit OK, so far... The jacket, is bunchy and weird and the shell of it is smaller than the thick pile lining. The fabric is cheap as well and wrinkles like crazy. I ended up having to pay almost $16 to return them both and hassle with standing in line at the Post Office. Clearly factory seconds as other posters say. Oh, and when I put this in my return comments-- I got a form email from some customer service rep (supposedly) not in the least bit acknowledging my comments. The email just wanted to let me know about all their great sales. Yeah."

"No problems with merchandise. Completely happy with my Smile CARport and my KEEN PTC slip on shoes from 6pm.com. No noticeable problems or defects. Does not look "fake" and fits great.

As long as you read the fine print (e.g. no free shipping both ways), as you should when buying anything online or in-store, then you should not have any issues. If you compare the price at other online store plus the shipping cost for returns, you'll still be ahead due to the extreme price reductions on the merchandise.

Will buy again from this store.

"The dress I ordered was advertised as a Calvin Klein Draped Jersey Dress and the dress I received is a FAKE. It fits well and looks fine but the tag on the neck of the dress has been altered and the size and made in tags are crooked. I will never buy another item from them and someone from the CK security needs to investigate them!"

"As someone else said, I am not one to go out of my way to bash a store. I have had no bad expereince with retrun policies or late shipping as of now but I purchased two 7 for all man kind jeans and a pair of leather steve madden boots. I've had previous boots just like it and I noticed something felt different about this pair. They're stiff and look fake, the leather smelt funny and the shoe was stiff. On top of that they were too small, when my other boot (same style) had fit in that same size. I was skeptical but decided since the box was real I wasn't going to return it after reading how much shipping it back was. Then I realized that the front part of the shoe was PEALING.. right out of the box. These shoes are either FAKE or the crappiest shoe steve madden ever made. I am definitely returning it and now wondering if anything I ordered is real. "

"I was very excited about the boots that I found and ordered from 6PM.com- I had been waiting to buy myself a special pair of new boots for over a year and these seemed to be the perfect pair for me and 6PM.com seemed to have the last pair around in my size. I ordered them, unfortunately thinking that they had the same return policy as other online shoe retailers. They don't and now I know why. The shoes seemed to fit at first, but after walking around in them, I realized that there is something wrong with them. They are extremely uncomfortable and I think were even made wrong as they almost completely cut off the circulation to my right foot. I am guessing that they will be expensive to return ship and at this point I am quite disgruntled. Personally, I don't see a reason to order anything from a company that, from what I can read from the other reviews, doesn't seem to care about the quality of their merchandise or the satisfaction of their customers. I'd go elsewhere. And I have never written a bad review on an online company before- that is saying something."

"Always ships fast, items as described. Customers do need to know simple rules: it is a discount store, so returns are made a hassle and will cost money. Buying shoes online is a lottery, unless you know what you want and are sure that it will fit you. Find the same shoe in store, try it, and if it fits, order it safely online. If it did not fit - donate it to charity - at least that's what I did on one occasion, and felt good about it. "

"Like others who have complained about this reseller, I am being charged for shipping when the mistake was theirs. I ordered 3 pairs of shoes, all the same size. 2 pairs did not fit. Any savings in price that I would have had, now for one pair of shoes, just went out my the window.

Anyway, I will never buy anything from them again.

I can only blame myself though because I did not check them out at ResellerRatings first.

"Poor photographs of shoe colors such that you do not get what you buy. You pay shipping BOTH ways and when the wrong color arrives, you get to eat shipping costs both ways. PLUS, they gladly send you the wrong size (womens instead of mens, and you have to be careful because the site does not tell you which is which even on the receipt) so that you get to each the shipping/handling charge to return wrong sizes also. AVOID. Zappos or Amazon is a better choice by far."

"I have read a lot of negative reviews about 6pm.com and so have always been hesitant to place an order with them. But recently, partially enthused by insomnia and late night trash TV, I decided to take a chance and order a pair of Spy Optic: Hielo sunglasses from 6pm.com.

The order was placed on 20th June, 2010 at 1-51 AM, and then I received a mail with shipping information on 21st June, at 11-51 PM. The glasses arrived at my workplace in Los Angeles, CA on Friday, the 25th June.

I am very satisfied with my first shopping experience with 6pm.com.

"Update: 6pm.com took care of the problem I had with the Deer Stags: Okema hiking shoes. I am a much happier camper now.

I ordered Deer Stags: Okema hiking shoes.
The first time I put the shoes on the eyelets starting breaking off. The eyelets are of such design that the shoes strings will not slide freely in the eyelets, thus the shoes cannot be tightened up as necessary to attempt a proper fit. I did find that this particular shoe is wider then a standard D size shoe. I have decided to boycott 6PM due to their return policy which makes the purchases suffer a financial loss even when the shoes are defective. I cannot do business with a company which does not stand behind its merchandise. I would advise all to take this into consideration when making a decision to purchase what looks like a great deal when actually the business is only getting ride of stock which is defective or has other problems which is the reason for the clearance.
