"I have small, wide feet so it's very difficult for me to find comfortable shoes. Brick-and-mortar discount or warehouse stores virtually never have my size, and specialty retailers are far too costly. While 6pm might be an "outlet" store, they did happen to carry a nice-looking pair of New Balance athletic shoes in my size at a bargain price. My order was processed promptly and shipped quickly. The shoes were brand new in their original box and fit perfectly. The $6.95 standard shipping fee on a $30 pair of shoes struck me as a bit steep, but that's only a minor complaint. It seems that the majority of the negative reviews for this retailer are from people who have attempted to deal with their customer service. As long as you know exactly what you need or are looking for, I don't think 6pm is a bad place to shop."

"I have used this website 2 times. A few weeks ago, I purchased a pair of Sorel winter boots, and a Burton hoodie. Both were brand new, correct size, with tags in original packaging. And the second time using the site I had the same results. And the shipping was great too, my items were delivered to me within the next week of the purchase date. There is nothing wrong with 6pm.com"

"They have some of the worst customer service I've ever seen. It took them more than a week to process my order. During that time I sent them an email to inquire about why it was taking so long. A few days later, I got a robotically-generated "response" that did not address my inquiry. I then sent them an email requesting they cancel the order (they do not offer any way to contact them by phone). A few days later, they shipped it anyway. I then contacted them to request that they pay the return shipping, since I had already canceled the order well before they shipped it. Their response was that I should not have accepted the package if I didn't want it, and once I accepted it, I had to pay return postage. "

"Agree with all recent reviews. If there is a phone number on their site, I can't find it.
Here's my issue: On Sept 18th I placed an order for things I need for a trip to Europe. According to UPS tracking, my order was fulfilled at 8pm on Sept 28 -- 10 days after I placed my order. My items are scheduled to arrive on October 4th, 4 days after I leave on my trip, which renders them completely useless to me. They're shipping from KY; I live in NY -- there's no reason it should take 16 days for me to get my order. And with 6pm you pay for shipping, so I'm paying for the privilege of having my order be late.
I believe in giving companies a chance to right a wrong, so I'll see what they can do to get my order to me in the next 36 hours. If they can't make it work, I'm done with 6pm.com -- and I'll be very vocal about that.
There are plenty of other good places to get discounted goods: O.com, Sierra Trading Post, Last Call.com. Too many other online retailers value my business; I'll give my hard-earned dollars to a someone else if I have to!

"This is the email I sent 6pm.com. They disregarded my request to cancel the order and went ahead and shipped it anyway, much later that the original promised date of shipment. I will NEVER PURCHASE from this company again. They are borderline fraudulent, and at best, just plain sloppy.

I ordered my items on September 19th and today is the 24th and my order has still not shipped. There is absolutely no excuse for this long delay in shipping my order. I want my order cancelled immediately. I tried calling your customer service department today but you have removed your phone # from your website. (It was on the site yesterday and the day before.) I am no longer interested in doing business with you. Cancel my order at once or I will report you to the government office that handles Consumer Fraud and my credit card company.

"I initially wrote a bad review of 6pm.com because it took nearly 2 weeks to get my 2 orders and meanwhile their website took their customer service 800 number off the website and when you tried to call the number (which I then had to Google), it said they were closed for "system issues." But eventually I was able to log into their website (they're still having MAJOR problems with website orders, so be aware that if you want to order from them, you'll probably have to do it by phone). But I did eventually get the 5 pairs of shoes/boots I ordered (at a ridiculously LOW price), and they're all gorgeous and brand new and fit perfectly. So I'm now happy that they do "eventually" ship their merchandise, and I've since placed another order and this time (without the supposed system issues), I got a UPS tracking number right away, and the boots I ordered are supposed to come tomorrow. Check 'em out, alot of their things are 70% off retail, quite a nice deal (if you can put up with the way you have to order, and have patience with the whole thing)."

"Ordered boots at a really good price unfortunately, the price didn't make up for the system errors, poor customer service response, and horrible shipping/return policies this company has in place.

You might get lucky on the price for some items but I wouldn't be purchasing from them or recommending them in the future. The hassle and time spent waiting for the product/return isn't justified.

"Never EVER buy anything from this website. First THEY CHARGE YOU SALES TAX. Then they have no idea where your product is or when it was shipped. Ordered shoes on Monday and paid for 2 day delivery. It's Thursday and no shoes. Called them up and they don't even know when or if product was shipped. Worst site on internet"

"Ordered over $100 of clothes and received an email from 6pm saying they were processing my order. I subsequently received two more of the same email. Checked their webite and found no record of my order. Called their Customer Service phone number and was essentially told "Oh, well." Wrote an email to their Customer Service Dept. and 48 hours have passed without a response. If you want to buy discounted items, don't buy here. They have no respect for their customers.

"After reading the reviews here, I was a bit worried. But the 70% off the sunglasses I wanted made it worth the risk (it was only $30 I'd lose out on). Fortunately I got exactly what I ordered. Brand new. With the the wrapping still on it. If I find another great deal like that, I'd definitely order again."

"I've bought lots of shoes from zappos. I thought I'd give 6pm a shot since they are affiliated. Horrible decision on my part. I suspect 6pm carries all of zappos's rejects/returns. The shoes I ordered had defective laces. Shipping wasn't fast and their return policy is awful. You have to pay for shipping even IF what they ship you is defective and/or wrong. The savings isn't worth the hassle unless you're desperate."

"I ordered a Jansport Carson backpack frpm 6PM. The price was better than anyone else offered, and they claimed to only have one of them. My order was successfully placed and they charged my credit card. Three days later they sent me an email that the item "did not pass inspection" and that they were cancelling the order. In light of their poor reviews I asked that the item be shipped anyway and that I would inspect it and deal with the manufacturer myself. No response from 6pm. No matter whether by emal or by call, I never received any reation at all. The item disappeared from their website for 24 hours, but then reappeared and a week later there is still the one Jansport Carson backpack offered for sale
that Inhad tried to buy.

I don't know how this plays out. They've got my credit card number. If they don' charge this item back I expect I can contest the charge successfully. But credit card theft is another possibility, and given the bizarre nature of the transaction, I'm considering cancelling my credit card to avoid this possibility. I will also asked the attorney general's office to look into this complaint. What stste, you ask? Well, customer service says Nevada, but the internet says Colordo, so I guess we'll see.

Forget dealing with customer service with this company. This service is based in the Phillippines and is geared to answer "sorry for your inconvenience" to any statement made by the consumer. Needless to say, I won't be ordering from this company again.

"Unfortunately 6pm.com policy of discontinuing the return label process is a deal breaker for me. Their explanation that customers can get a better rate is ridiculous since returning even a single pair of shoes will cost more than the $6.95 they used to offer for return shipping. Also, there is no reason to include return paperwork in the box - if they are truly interested in saving trees allowing customers to print an electronic copy would cut down on unnecessary documents."

"Horrible!! Sent me wrong shoes. Returned the package right away only to get an email the item I ordered couldn't be sent out. Waited 5 days after they received a return to see when refund would be posted. After being on hold forever was told that refund is not scheduled to post for another 5 business days+up to 10 business days for transaction to be processed by the credit card, yet the item is listed as still in stock. Told me I would have to place a different order.

Customer service not helpful at all. Got a refund notice MINUS initial shipping charge, had to contact them again to explain it was THEIR mistake.

Complete nightmare. Will never shop there again!
