"Well built computer for a great price. Second computer I have bought from AVA. Got almost 4.5 years from first one. This computer was packed super nice and started right up out of the box. Would order another one again. Can barely buy the parts and assemble for what they charge for doing all the work."
"I purchased a custom PC for music production from AVA Direct and could not be happier with my decision to buy from them. Their excellent website made it easy for me to put together exactly what I wanted. A few issues came up during the processing of my order and these were promptly communicated to me and quickly resolved. AVA direct is the best custom PC company out there. Great product and customer service."
"I am a retired software engineer. In the past, I have built my own computers, and I have had them built. The build these people completed for me, is one of the best I have seen.
Recently, I had a BIOS/hardware issue. They wasted no time in assisting me with this - sixteen months after my purchase.
The best compliment I can give? I will use them again for a future purchase."
"I bought a clevo laptop and had problems with it... but Joe Mundy went out of his way to make everything right. AVA did everything they could to make things right. Joe practically gave me the shirt off his back. I couldnt have asked for more."
"It was a daunting task looking for a place to get a custom build because I am not from the United States and everywhere else I looked into, The companies were unable to work out the payment or very dismissive when they heard they would need to figure out a way to help a foreign customer. However with AVA, they were accommodating and reasonable and most of all very friendly and helpful to get the payment method that worked for a customer not located in the US.
This is not the only reason I am glad I made the purchase from AVA however, as upon looking into the sheer variety of options they provided for their builds, I was able to build the exact PC I wanted without compromise for a reasonable price. Their sales rep was incredibly helpful and friendly and thorough in ensuring that my PC would actually run with the components I chose. I did quite a bit of research before putting together the build but the fact that he also made sure the parts were compatible with each other was very welcome. The PC was delivered in a great state and as I finally saw it, I was very impressed with the level of high quality they built it with. The cables were really well managed (and that is with their own in-house cable management team) and everything was where it needed to be. It looks so professional and it works like a charm. I have been running it for almost two weeks now and haven't had any problems with hardware. I got the quality I paid for.
After my experience with them I am quite convinced of the high ratings they get as a company as I have experienced it first hand. For anyone looking for a quality custom built PC, AVADirect is definitely worth your time."
"I was looking into buying a new computer for audio/music production and stumbled across AVA Direct in one of those custom computer roundups. AVA didn't even make the list but someone had wrote them in the comments section. I decided to check them out and everything turned out really good. They have a great site over there and a ton of parts to choose from. I think I saved about $600 or so compared to some of the other custom computer companies that specialize in digital audio workstations. With the great part selection, I was able to match up parts with other audio rigs that are known to work well for audio production. I can't speak for the gaming rigs they make (although they look fantastic!), but the computer they built for me is pretty much perfect for what I do. If anyone reads this looking to build a DAW, check them out. I also recommend checking out the beQuiet! part selection they have up there if silence is a priority. My computer makes no noise. Not a peep. My thoughts make more noise.

"I have always built my own computers, but building in a SFF case is just a pain and I thought for once I would try a professional custom build. I read a lot of computing magazines and AVADirect has a good reputation. This in addition to their extensive offerings and build options on their website (particularly in SFF) made the decision for me to use them for this build. I was very happy with the technical quality of the build and the component options available. There were a few hiccups in the process, a small bug on their site with one of the features I wanted, and some slight miscommunication from their technical sales staff but they were very responsive to me regarding both of these issues and overall it was a very positive experience."
"I've discovered AVADirect several years ago, and it became THE place to get my new pc's for home and work since then. They won me over with the sheer number of customization options and the responsiveness of the staff. When I picked what I thought were the best components for me, somebody got back to me immediately and pointed out a few potential issues with that particular combination and advised me how to make it work out better. Finally, when the pc arrived, I was very impressed by the quality of packaging: the delivery people could have tossed and dropped that box (and they probably did!) but nothing could have happened to the hardware inside. I've ordered from AVADirect several more times since then and was extremely satisfied every time. I always recommend this company to all my friends and colleagues looking for a custom built pc."
"Got all the components I wanted. Easy to order. Bought several computers from these guys. They all just worked. No problem. Called tech support and someone actually answered the phone and seemed happy to talk to me. Found my order fast and fixed the issue within about 60 seconds. Great, this doesn't happen often these days. The system is nicely laid out, crisp and clean. Love it!"
"I am glad I came across ava direct.
I now have a choice to buy things with their amazing financing options.
I hope to be a regular customer. :)"
"When I ordered a barebones from AVAdirect I thought everything was fine. Then 2 weeks passes and there was no computer. I called, they said they were waiting on parts and it would ship in about a week. I waited 2 more weeks. Then I called again. The person I spoke to then said the part I wanted wouldn't be in stock at any time they could tell me. I could either cancel my order (I needed this computer 3 weeks ago at this point) or switch to an inferior processor that they would charge me MORE for! I payed the extra because I needed this computer ASAP. The person said they would expedite my shipping. Guess what, they didn't. I got the computer but lost a month and more money than I would have spent at any other vendor. AVAdirect will lie and try to cheat you out of as much money as possible. Stay away."
"I searched through multiple clevo resellers, Sager, ProStar, HIDEvolution, XoticPC, OriginPC, you name it, I found it, and I still decided to go with AVA.
1) most of the sales people o talked to, didn't really seem to care about selling to me, they didn't attempt to be personable, simply answered a few of the questions I'd ask, and then not respond and/or try to sell me more expensive laptops.
2) Kyle was more knowledgeable, and when he didn't know the answer, he offered to check up on it and then contact me back
3) they had the best deal, $250 less than most of the competitors.
4) their customization options are unreal. Most other Companies offer the exact same customization options as the other, however, AVA offered so many more options. You could pick and choose the brand of ram you wanted, you had many more options as far as storage went etc...
I ended up going with a clevo P970EF, a thin and light, 17" laptop. I got the quick ship model with 1business day priority assembly, and FedEx second day delivery, I got it within a week. Extremely fast in comparison to other companies.
I haven't had any problems with the laptop as of yet, and don't expect to at all. The laptop is absolutely amazing. Would very highly recommend it to any gamers, 3D modellers, software developers. Very light, beautiful screen, and very solid."
"This is the third computer I've bought from AVA over the course of a dozen years. My last one is almost six years old and still is lightning fast and great. (Though I did have an issue with some component after the three year warranty expired, they still troubleshooted the situation and recommended a new part which I installed and seems to have extended the life of the computer considerably). The only reason I bought a new computer is that I needed one in a smaller form to fit inside a new desk I installed. The purchase experience is great - the salesperson walked me through my needs and constraints and configured a computer that's ideal for me at a price that feels like a bargain for what I'm getting. I highly recommend this company."
"In the age of faceless and voiceless companies, it's the rare pleasure to encounter one with dedicated sales & support agents who are available, knowledgeable, and genuinely willing to walk through a needs assessment with the customer. The unit arrived double-boxed and thoroughly cushioned. And the interior build is obsessively neat, and the system worked right out of the box. Highly recommended."
"I wanted a solid laptop for software development with a good CPU, RAM, and SSD and I got it. All within a reasonable price and good quality. Also, no delays issues with the shipping. I should also mention that they have great customer service :)"
"I'll try to make this brief. I purchased a very expensive (>$7,000) PC from AVADirect. I was told after checking out that certain parts I had selected were out of stock and wouldn't be available for weeks (why could I select them then?). I agreed to swapping out the components I selected with comparable other ones. I assumed this would speed up delivery. It did not. Several weeks after my initial order, I called again, asking where it was.
I was told that my system had failed some of their readiness checks. Well, I was happy that they had caught issues, before sending them out, but not happy that I had not been notified of the delay. When I asked them why I hadn't been contacted about the delay, they had no explanation.
The system finally arrived, nicely packaged and really well put together. It looks great.
Unfortunately, it crashed immediately upon boot. I then spent the next two days reinstalling windows and trying to get things up and running before determining that the video card was bad (this is not their fault, though I question if the problems encountered during testing had ever actually been resolved...). I called support to let them know I had issues. I was told tech support was busy that day and would call me back later that afternoon. I never received that call.
The next day I simply called customer service (not tech support, who apparently are still very busy), having determined that the video card was indeed the issue (I installed my old machine's card and everything worked fine). I asked them if I could get a replacement card. I was told it would take several weeks to get the video card in stock. Since I saw at least 20 of that card available for next day delivery on Amazon, I decided I would ship the faulty card back and just get a refund.
After filling out the RMA documents and sending the card back, I got an email indicating they were preparing to ship my replacement (keep in mind the detailed RMA documents that required a signature clearly detailed the return was for a refund). I called to get this straightened out and customer service was entirely unable to resolve the issue, and said I would have to wait to talk to tech support the following day.
After speaking to them the next day, they cancelled the erroneous replacement order and said they would issue a refund. It has now been over a week and no refund has been issued, so I called again today. I was told that the refund had been held up in accounting, but they had no explanation as to why.
As you can see, AVADirect failed to provide even a "normal" level of customer support at nearly every step of my interaction with them. I think they make fine products, but the constant calling required was beyond acceptable.
I've used two other custom builders in the past and both interactions were far smoother than this one. I would not work with them again."
