Do not buy from this company

"We ordered a round table and a matching console. It took nine weeks to arrive, and when it did we noticed the finish across the whole table top was streaked. It was matte in some places and shiny in others, and definitely not like the picture. Also, the finish from the table top and the console comes off in your hands. We tried to return the items and have been given the run around for almost three months. They agreed to a refund a month ago, but haven't had the items picked up. Then yesterday someone else called me to tell me that the finish is not finish, it's dirt. I used to build hardwood furniture, this is not dirt. "

Damaged and scratched dining room set

"Ordered a 6 chair dining room set on April 11, 2022 with the white glove service where they deliver and set up your furniture for you.

Problems as following:

1. It took 20 days to arrive.

2. On arrival the three delivery guys unloaded the furniture in boxes. Immediately started unboxing the furniture inside my garage for assembly which was perfectly ok. Commenced assembling the 6 ea. chairs first, 2 of the chairs were scratched straight out of the box, no fault of the white glove assembly crew. While assembling one of the chairs the guy let it come off the cardboard he had underneath it on the concrete garage floor while assembling to keep from scratching the furniture and it scratched the back of the chair. Now I have 3 scratched chairs. I agreed to accepted the scratched furniture in order to expedite the process since we had been without a dining room table for 20 days.

3. One of the guys put the front legs on one chair backwards and I brought it to his attention before he tightened up the screws/bolts. Very inexperienced white glove service.

4. After the chair assembly was completed I went to sit in one of the chairs and one of the front legs was about an inch shorter than the other and the chair would not sit flat on the floor, it just rocked back and forth. After further inspection I found another chair in the same condition. Again unexperienced white glove assembly crew. The two chairs had to be partially disassembled and reassembled to correct the problem. Had I not took the initiative to check them they would have been left with me in that condition.

5. Deliver guy now asked if I wanted to keep the table top? Seeing the the box was badly damaged on one corner I asked if we could look at it before accepting it because I'm afraid the table may be damaged since the box was so badly damaged on the corner. We took the table top out of the box and sure enough, the corner of the table was badly damaged and had to be returned along with the base.

6. Now after waiting for 20 days to get delivery I'm left with only six chairs in which three are scratched. However, I agreed to swallow that and try and put some Old English polish or something on them later in an effort to camouflage the scratches. One would have never accepted chairs scratched like this from a furniture store but since I ordered online I didn't want to hold up the delivery process any longer nor the hassle of returning them.

7. And to top things off the "white glove" service crew left the 6 scratched chairs sitting in the garage with opened boxes the chairs came out of overflowing with packing material and pieces of styrofoam scatted over about 1/2 of the garage......so much for the extra cost for "white glove" service. Took two tries after holding for 20 minutes each before getting someone on the phone to file a return claim. In the future I'll pay a little more to deal directly with a reputable furniture store near me. for a few penny's it's just not worth the hassle. Will probably be anxiously waiting another 20 days from n ow for another table to arrive and hopefully it's not damaged???

RUN AROUND

"Placed my order for the LIBERTY FURNITURE - SUMMER HOUSE I 5 PIECE PEDESTAL TABLE SET on 1/16/22 with a backorder ship date of 5/30 only to be told it will ship on 7/29 according to the Liberty rep-go to the AFA website and order today with a ship date of 6/27/22! Getting the run around big time-NOT HAPPY"

Dirty Hands

"I really love my dresser that was delivered, however the delivery itself leaves a lot to be desired. They wouldnt even take the box after tearing it to smithereens and leaving styrofoam pieces everywhere. Their dirty handprints were all over my walls, i have never been more disguised having to clean those off my walls. I really want the remaining pieces for this bedroom set, but i will probably end up buying from Macy's so i dont have to experience that delivery horror ever again. "

I had a good experience with afa stores

"We got the lowest possible price since they honored his price match guarantee policy. The store replies to inquiries within hours and they resolves any issue in a timely fashion. I had no problems with the shipment of my nightstands, it arrived on time and the delivery service was very professional, I definitely plan on ordering from afa stores in the future."

Horrible customer service for broken item

"I notified AFA immediately that my stool was broken. After three attempts at emailing (the phone wait was very long) they finally sent out a tech, who said it couldn't be fixed and I should receive a new one. It's been six weeks since the tech visited, and I have yet to hear about a replacement item, or even a shipping date. AFA does not update me at all on the item status, even though they are still selling the item online. Absolutely horrible customer service. "

I am so totally happy with the service

"I was a little worried with my product and the possibility that it could be damaged in the shipment, but it was very well packaged. The person I spoke to in customer service was extremely helpful, our order was on backorder, so he took time to find out when it would be shipped and let us know. We had a couple of pieces that we had issues with and Afa replaced them asap. We will definitely use them again."
