"Placed order for a Canon 7D camera online. Two days later they called me trying to sell me batteries and memory cards. Declined and customer support hung-up on me. Next day received email saying they had ordered by camera and it would be received in their warehouse in approximately 14 business days and if I could not wait 14-21 days to get the camera to cancel the order. I waited 15 business days and emailed them asking for an update. The replied that they would email my tracking number when they shipped the camera. Waited 20 business days and hearing nothing from them I cancelled the order. I should have known better - If it seems too good to be true (low price) it probably is. Buyer Beware!"
"I am not a vengeful individual out to get an Internet retailer. I am just trying to help others by sharing my experience with ajrichies.com. I want everyone to know what they can expect.
First of all, you have to approach the process almost like one of the time share vacation deals. You know you are getting a great deal on the vacation, but you also know you are going to have to sit through one of the sales presentations. I personally have never gone through this, but I have friends who have gotten some great vacation deals.
Anyways, once you have ordered from ajrichies.com, you will get the usual e-mail confirmation showing you what you have ordered. If you look at it closely, you will see that ajrichies.com have covered themselves by explaining to you that this confirmation isn't a contract and that they have the right to back out of the deal. It says that the order is under review and it will take up to two or three days to process the order. They give you a phone number to call to expedite the process. If you got an amazing deal on your purchase, they are probably going to want to offer you an extended warranty and maybe some accessories. I thought about this and if you are honest with yourself, electronic retail stores do this all the time. It is just unusual for an online store to do it. I personally wasn't in a hurry because my purchase was for a backup camera and yes, I was getting the camera for about 100 dollars less than other big name Internet sites. Well, if you read the reviews of others, they all mention that they receive another email explaining that there is a problem with the order or they need to confirm billing information, etc., and you need to give them a call. I didn't initially call. I simply replied and said that I wasn't interested in any additional products. When I called later that evening, they said there was no longer a problem and my order had been processed. The next day I got my shipping confirmation and two days after that I had my order. The item was shipped quickly and was packaged very well. I have been using the camera for a couple of days now and haven't had any trouble with it.
To summarize things... in my case I got a great deal on a nice camera. I saved almost 100 dollars on the deal. This make me very happy. I got what I ordered and they shipped it fast. Well, once they went through the up sell part of their process. Is this annoying to the customer? Absolutely! However, ajrichies.com is a company and they have to make money to stay in business.
Suggestions:
When you get the confirmation email, go ahead and contact their sales group by calling the phone number provided. Calmly explain that you don't wish to purchase any additional items. Reference the reviews on this site if you need to do so. In my case, I waited for the second e-mail and simply replied to it. I referenced this site and the highlights of some of the complaints which I believe prevented the up sell portion of the process for me.
Go into the process with the attitude that you might run into some troubles, but at the end of the day, you can save significant money.
Remember that they do and will attempt to sell you extended warranties and accessories. It is how they make money."

They were very efficient in contacting me to settle a credit-card issue, and their customer support staff were very pleasant to talk to. I was originally hesitant to order from Aj Richies, because the camera I wanted was a solid 300 dollars cheaper from this website than any other, so I was very hesitant at first because I'd thought that anyone selling a camera at this low a price must have a catch, or could be a scam all together. "I tried to purchase a camera on a Friday, the next Tuesday I received a call from customer service confirming the purchase was made by me, but all they are doing is trying to up-sale you to buy other products.
Here is the kicker my camera was magically out of stock after I told them I didn't want to buy anything else only what I originally intended to buy in the first place. I waited three MONTHS (thats 90 something days), called numerous times to find out the order status and each time I received a different answer as to why my camera wasn't in stock. I finally canceled.
Shame on AJRichies I will never buy from you again and I will tell everyone how bad your service and honesty are."

"I bought the Sony HDR-PJ260V camera two weeks ago and so far I'm happy. I wanted to buy a camcorder as well as camera. I shopped around and saw this product. This made my two product shopping into one.
The videos are fantastic and the still camera takes great photos outside. The indoor photos look very good if there is enough lighting. The prjector is neat that I am able to vue the images on a wall and see them and listen to the grea sounds from the speakers.
I wish Sony had put a flash for indoor photo shooting. I also wish Sony had put a vue finder on the camera because when filming outdoors the screen is a little hard to see with sun glare.
I have not tried the videos on the big screen television and surround sound system yet so I can't comment on that feature.
I must say that over all I am very satisfied. Everything I do should only become better the more I learn more and use it.

"I ordered a Canon Vixia HF G10 from here, and never got it.
After my order was placed, I received an email saying the item was now out of stock and would be restocked within 14 business days. They said I would receive it within 14-21 business days of my order. 19 business days later I contacted them to find out the status of my order. They said they were still waiting for it to arrive in stock. 2 days later I asked if they had an estimated time of arrival for it to be restocked. And two days later they informed me that no, they didn't have an ETA. That brings us to Feb 5th, 21 business days since I placed the order, and I still had no information about expected delivery (nor did they have the decency to keep me updated without my having to pester them).
So now, being over a month after I ordered it, I was coming up on the event I specifically ordered the camera to film. When I emailed Ajrichies again, they said they had no additional information and did not know when it would be in stock. So I cancelled my order and went to Best Buy.
There was a complete lack of company initiated updates for me from Ajrichies, but luckily my card was not charged and I was able to cancel the order and find the camera elsewhere."
"Ordered a Canon EOS 7D and found the sales rep very helpful. There was a slight delay on shipping; but the camera is at UPS now (Friday and is du for arrival on Tuesday). I was very impressed with the phone service when callig back with questions, and also that I was easily able to communicate (good english). These are 2 very important qualities when dealing online."

kept telling me it was backorder yet other vendors have it in stock and already have one ordered for a reputable vendor.
The price on the camera is low but they spend their time trying to sell you over priced accessories. When I didn't buy extra battery and memory suddenly my camera went on backorder.
They sent an email that it would take 14-21 days now and that all I had to do was reply cancel and they would stop the order.
They don't want to sell just the camera.
This was a gift and the salesman told me it would be shipped in 3-5 days.
Go with a reputable company and not Ajrichies. Total scam"
