"Earlier today I wrote a review giving Ajrichies the lowest rating I possibly could based on their problems shipping the Nikon P500 camera I ordered from them nearly a week ago. Since then I have been personally contacted by email and phone by someone from their management who promised he had a camera ready to ship to me along with freebee accessories of my choice. He was very sincere and concerned about his company's reputation. I gotta tell you that really rings a big bell with a guy like me who spent most of his life supporting warfighters, fighting to get them premium service. I didn't agree to buy the camera he had found, since I already have one on the way from another vendor who shipped same day I ordered (cost $30 bucks more, but a deal's a deal). However, I eventually did give in and accept the offer of store credit. So I guess I did okay, all in all. Guess maybe I will try Ajrichies again."

"I purchased an order from Ajrichard.com a couple months ago, and initially had a bit of trouble with the order. I spoke with Adam, in customer service, and was able to resolve the issue. Adam was very customer service oriented, and accommodating. He patiently listened as I explained my issue, and was very empathetic and understanding during the process. We were able to reach an agreement, and Adam took swift action to implement the changes, and even followed up to make sure I was completely satisfied. In any business transaction there is the possibility for a misunderstanding to take place, I believe that is what happened in my case. Although I was a initially a bit frustrated, I no longer am. It is the end result that matters most, and thanks to Adam I'm a happy camper, and have no complaints."

Becos of the low price, i decided to give it a try though the reviews were bad and based on the reviews, i made a note onmy purchase that I would just need the camera so no phone call to sell me other stuff pls and I want the us warrantee as listed on their website. I got a quick confirming email that it is on back order and will be shipped in 21 bus. days. Fine. I will wait, no rush. Around one month waiting, I noticed the price of this camera was even dropped on their website and still labelled as shipping in 1-2 bus. days. Sth fishy, so I called their customer service. Then I was toldi should still expect further delay for another month and with no us warrantee. They basically pushed me to cancel the order, which I did. "If you don’t want to read this entire review at least read this… I saved over $200 by ordering from AjRichies however, in my opinion, I would never have received my product if I hadn’t either (a) ordered enough over-priced accessories / warranties to make them a decent profit or (b) threatened to give them a negative review if they didn’t ship my order.
Here are the details. Late on 12/28/11 I ordered a Canon EOS Rebel T3i (body only) from AjRichies website. The site advertised the T3i for $529.95 with free ground shipping and indicated that it “usually ships in 1-2 business days”. I immediately received an email that summarized my order information and stated, “Due to the holiday season orders can take 1-5 business days for processing time. If you wish to have your order expedited, please contact us…”
On 12/29/11 I contacted customer service and got a rep that was rather short with me and asked if I wanted it expedited shipping I could pay extra. I didn’t do this because I wanted to keep my costs down and thought that I could wait the 5 business days.
On 1/2/12 I received an email with a subject line of “Ajrichard.com” that indicated that my “…product is on order and expected to arrive in our warehouse in approximately 14 business days.” And then went on to state, “If you cannot wait and need this product before 14-21 business days and would like to cancel simply reply to this email with the word CANCEL…” This email was disappointing and also seemed odd to me because their website still indicated that the T3i usually shipped in 1-2 business days and the communication didn’t do anything to apologize for this inconvenience. Instead, it seemed to want to make if very simple and easy for me to cancel my order (not preserve it).
At this point I started to take a much closer look at not just their overall seller rating (as I did when I placed my order) but the individual ratings.
The next morning, 1/3/12, I called “Adam” at his direct extension (which I found by reading numerous reviews). I asked him to honor his company’s advertised product and shipping claim on their website. He was very defensive of the websites claims asserting that when the order is submitted it says that it could take 7-10 business days for delivery and offered to cancel the order if I didn’t like it. I told him that if his company didn’t honor its advertised claim that I would appropriately review his company on every seller rating site that I could find. At this point he become easier to work with and expressed how important these ratings are to AjRichies. He asked if I would be satisfied if I received the camera by 1/9/12. I told him that I would and will hold my review until after receipt.
Later that day my credit card was charged and I received an email from AjRichies stating that my item had been shipped (with a UPS tracking number).
On 1/5/12, four days sooner than promised, my brand new, USA version Canon T3i was delivered. Like others, it was in a kit box without the lens but otherwise everything was as expected. So far the camera is working great!
Overall I would have to say that, for me, it was worth the extra hassle of using AjRichies for this purchase. Saving over $200 is worth a little extra time and effort on my end. "
"Placed order on Canon T3 and lens kit. No confirmation was given. 3 days later I received a call from a customer representative who repeated every peace of info from my online order. After that he proceeded to do a hi-pressure sale on camera items I already had or didn't need. After repetative no answers to him, he said in a voice as tho he was ticked off, "your order is placed", then immediately hung up. I didn't have a cross word towards him. on 12/22/11 I received an email the camera was back ordered 'til 01/05/12. On this date, I checked online. They had no record of my order. I then sent a CANCEL email to sales. Low prices don't help if an online store doesn't carry the item, treats the customer rudely on the phone, pressures sales, doesn't update the customer, then drops the order. 'never again! Do not recommend Ajrichies to anyone."

"I am reluctant to order on-line. Always trying to be careful not to get caught off guard and not get hooked into something I don't want to buy or that I really don't need. What I've experienced at AJRichies thus far has been pleasant. The sales person (Morris) was very helpful, not pushy and gave me options for a very good photo package. Waiting to see if the products match the description when they arrive. If everything arrives as ordered, it will complete a very pleasant purchase experience.
Update to original review 1/6/12:
I received my order yesterday. Packaging was well done and shipping very fast; however, when I tried to register my new Nikon D7000 at Nikon USA, I discovered that the serial number was invalid. Warned me of a possible "Grey Market" item and would not be covered by Nikon USA warranty. Surprise! This may be common practice and not a problem, I don't know. I have spoken with AJ Richies' costumer service department and they assured me that they will take care of any warranty issues just as Nikon USA would do. I am waiting on warranty confirmation in writing via email. They did admit to selling "Grey Market" items. Just be aware. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but it is a little misleading and I'm not as confident in them as I was just after placing the order. You should be able to buy with confidence and not feel you were mislead. I work hard for my money and I was just trying to get a good deal. I hope I don't have any further "surprises". Be smart when you buy.
Second Update on 1/16/2012
Adam called to try and resolve any issues I had. I wasn't home. He also emailed and tried to make contact the same day. Because it was a weekend we didn't get to talk. I'm still waiting to actually talk with Adam. I have some remaining issues with AJ Richies. My Nikon Flash came with owner's manual printed in everything but English and I'm not happy with the discovery that my Nikon D7000 is a "grey market" camera. Very unhappy about that!! I hope I don't discover any more issues as I get familiar with my equipment. "
