"We needed a Heat pump for a small fish hatchery structure.
After checking the usual big box sources, I widened the search and discovered Alpine Air.
Not only was the alpine Air unit larger, but the warranty was superior and the units were in stock for immediate delivery.
We installed the unit on Friday following the excellent written instructions after watching the on-site video.
The hardest part of the installation was routing the pre-filled tubing as we had three(3) bends.
After connecting the tubing,the first soap test revealed NO Leaks!
We changed out the quick connect for the electrical to spade as the connector would not fit through the cable grip. No biggie...took 6 minutes.
We ran the test sequence as written in the manual and the unit worked perfectly!
We did a 1 hour cool down test followed by a 1 hour heat test. Both successful.

"Update: After Dan got involved I was offered a replacement furnace. I am happy they are taking care of this issue for me. They were prompt at having my new furnace ready for delivery and followed up with me the next day. I appreciate Alpine customer service following through. I did have the shipping paperwork noted with damage to boxes. Not sure how that was missed during initial calls. Perhaps that caused the confusion.

I ordered a complete hvac system. When the items were delivered some minor damage was noted on the invoice. After unpacking I found major damage on the Gas Furnace and the Heat pump. I sent pictures of the damage to Alpine customer service. Their website says they would off replacement or cash settlement of damaged items.
They offered to ship me a new furnace door which was not even the problem. They told me to file a claim with the carrier. The web site says they handle the claims with the carrier. The customer service manager will not call me back. I feel like i just spend 5K on scrap metal.
Do not believe their policy on damaged items. They do not actually honor it."
