"I purchased two sets of computer speakers, and ended up receiving two USED, sun-faded sets of speakers, and only one of the sets even worked. Oddly enough, the paperwork for the speaker set that didn't work, was for a NEW set of speakers, but a completely different set of speakers. The other set of speakers had a "Refurbished" notification letter enclosed in the packaging.

BEWARE, this company advertises new equipment, and low-ball's prices, by sending used equipment.

"I ordered a PC Case from these guys because they were a few bucks cheaper than Infinity PC. Packaged arived in about a week, double boxed and in good condition. I don't like the way they give you a product for a few bucks then charge you high (In my opinion) shipping rates. But despite this they have the lowest prices on the web for PC Cases.

"I ordered a 350w powersupply for 2 bucks after a coupon. I was charged a fair price for shipping, and the package arrived within a week, and in working order. The packing wasnt great, but what do you expect for 2 bucks. I am pretty satisfied."

"Purchased a Geforce 4Mx440 via their website. Was shopping for a good video card on Pricewatch when I came upon their price for $41.00 for this card. Was hesitant at first but decided to go for it because of the cheap price. As per the website it said the card was backordered till the 23rd. Come 23rd and get an email that it had shipped..I was shocked. Didn't think they would get it out so quick. They quickly emailed me the tracking number and I just received it today. Very nice card, great price, slow shipping due to the holidays. Will order from again."

"My experience with this company has been awful. They wasted my time and money.
Avoid them at all costs.

I placed an order for one of their power supplies(ctx420) online and chose "local pickup" when prompted. I was sent a confirmation email which stated that I must call 4 hours prior to pick-up to verify order.
When I called, I was placed on hold for about 10 minutes. When the associate returned to the phone he didn't have any information because he completely forgot that I was on the phone waiting!
So then he apologized and checked my order. He confirmed the price and that it was in stock ready for pick-up.
After driving across town to pick up my order, I felt confident that this transaction would have a positive completion...WRONG!

I was laughed at by their EXTREMELY rude sales girl when I explained that I was there to pick up my power supply.
"No, we don't do that" was her reply. I explained to her I had an order Confirmation, Verified also...nope.
She was the rudest person I have come across in 20 years of dealing with any company's employees. Leaning back in chair, laughing, she made it very clear she couldn't care less.

I was then passed onto her sidekick who at least attempted to look into the matter. He explained to me that I accessed the link through another party's website and that I was not allowed to pick my order up locally. He stated it clearly states, NO LOCAL PICKUP on the website link....So I asked him to show me.
Which he attempted to do, but OF COURSE it states no such thing on this particular link.
"Uh, well, it should have had that stated there. Sorry!"
He offered to ship it to me for an additional $12! LOL
I replied that I was right there, why would i want him to ship it to me??
He then told me that I can take it with me as long as I paid the extra $12 shipping.
Needless to say, I left without the power supply. I then drove to Directron and purchased a quality ps from people who are competant.

Do yourself a favor, NEVER purchase from AMAMAX.COM you will regret it.

"I bought a set of Tsunami speakers from them. I paid 12.00 total including S/H. When I received the speakers the invoice said I paid 1 dollar for the speakers and 11 for the s/h. THATS where I should of been like ive been had. I opened the speakers and pluged them in, turned them on and guess what THEY WHERE DEAD. I called amamax after reading through a page of policies. I read one that said "we dont refund s/h charges just the product cost" well they claim that the speakers are 1 dollar and the other 11 came from s/h which I DOUBT.. So I called and complained, the guy on the other end of the phone was basically like haha you got took for your money now go away. I told him that if I was to return these I would want my money back but he told me all I would get is 1 dollar so everyone lets add this up- I spend 12 for the set get it Dead on Arrival ship it back to them for 6 or 7 dollars for a refund get 1 dollar back, so this means I have spent roughly around 18 - 19 dollars on a set of DEAD speakers. The guy on the phone said he would tell his manager about this and I think he hung up and shrugged this call away because a real manager would of taken this to heart and atleast emailed the customer back apologizing for what had occured but I recieved and heard NOTHING at all.

Needless to say I still have these dead speakers and they are doing fine as a 12 dollar paper weight.

Dont buy from Amamax unless you want to lose money.

"I've ordered a few times from this place, first time I ordered they needed more info because my address wasn't matching exactly on my credit card. I had to call them to get this taken care of after I hadn't seen my product ship after a few days. I've since ordered from them without a hitch and will probably continue to order from time to time. Nice to see that the owner/manager is also following up on these problems if he sees a problem. I think a better way to monitor customer issues is to have an email address on your site for "customer service manager" that is actually responded to by the customer service but the emails are monitored by the manager incoming and outgoing. Like a "did you need to notify us of a problem or wanted to give us a compliment about our products and services, please click here". Once I ordered from TCWO and had a problem with a VERY rude sales rep, so I tracked the owners email address down (not on the website), emailed him and within' 2 hours had a call from a very apologetic manager that took care of everything. Otherwise they would now have someone bad mouthing them on the internet (me), but it turned out it was just the CSR not the company."

"This is my second time ordering from Amamax.The first time I got a very nice case for an unbeleiveable $2!!I paid $19 shipping on it but still not bad.It arrived in 2 or 3 days.This time I ordered an Inno3D GF4(like previously stated very good prices on these.)and a 256mb stick of pc2100.Ordered Friday afternoon and got it Tuesday so I guess thats 2 days since UPS does little or nothing over the weekend.Everything works,they kept me informed of my order status,great prices,and quick shipping and delivery.Without a doubt I will be ordering from them again."

"ordered a g4 on saturday. got anxoius monday ngiht as they had not shipped yet. emailed them got a VERY smirk reply from customer service. i guess they arent big on the treat customers nicely. anyhoo i replied and got another quick response with an insult. i didnt get frauded but between rude CSR's and other complaints. find a safer place."

"Their online order tracking page still won't work with my invoice number. It said wait "3 buisness days" and I did before attempting to contact customer service. I left them a message at customer service because they don't seem to have a person there that answers the phone. I know they got my call because I mentioned the typo "buisness" and they've fixed it. They haven't however taken the time to get back to me with my tracking number, or to confirm that they've even shipped my item. I mailed them and said that if they can't ship it by tommorow, to cancel the order. If I hear nothing tommorow, my credit card company is truly awesome about taking my side and will reverse the charges immediatley. If anything this has just been very inconvenient. I don't understand how companys like this can stay in business. Maybe they'll surprise me and actually get back to me tommorow. Even with the high shipping, I did get a great price with the pricewatch coupon I used.

UPDATE: They never mailed me back when I told them to cancel my order, so I contacted my credit card company, and the Texas State Attorney General's Office so they
can start an investigation into this company. I recommend that if you've been abused by this company to send mail to ****@**** since
the Better Business Bureau won't help you. Few people know that the BBB isn't even Gov't related, and doesn't exist for the consumer, but for the business.

a single problem. The fact that they
never answer their phone or reply
to email gives the appearance that
they are doing something shifty.
I got exactly what I ordered though.
And I got a great price. If you don't
mind being kept COMPLETELY in the dark,

"This was an okay experience. They shipped 3 of the 4 parts I ordered fairly quickly. It was exactly what I ordered. However, they did not include a heatsink and fan I ordered. There was no indication on the packing slip that they were planning to ship it separately, so it looked like they had just forgotten it. I emailed every email address they have, I called the long distance number, and even entered the first few digits of the name "Smith" in the voice mail system and got some individual's voice mail---no reply for a few days from any of these attempts. But, all of a sudden, I got an email telling me the heatsink shipped---a couple days later, I got it.

They had some good value added stuff--the heatsink was value added, and I got Word Perfect 2002 for $20. The website is good, and the prices are good. They made me a little nervous on the contact side of things, but they made good on it.

I might buy from these guys again for the right price.
