"I've had the opportunity to place a number of orders with Amazon.com over the last three months. Orders range from $ 5.00 to $ 2200.00. I've found that:
They are generally price competitive
I've been promptly informed via email of the
confirmation and delivery information
Deliveries have been early or on time, never late
No damage
Always as ordered
Only one (1) defective part - Credit promptly issue by
Vendor (not Amazon ) at no cost to me
In today's world, a very pleasant experience. Based on my personal experience I would order from them again and recommend Amazon.com to friends.

"Love the store. Had Amazon Prime on a trial basis for a while, and while I miss it after using it for a bit, even the Super Saver shipping that I take advantage of is often quite fast--I have yet to have an order that comes later than the expected arrival date. They often come a few days earlier than when I expect it; it's a very good thing, and I like it. This order is no different. Thanks, Amazon!"
"I have ordered from Amazon for 2 years and this holiday season was absolutely terrible! It seemed that every package I ordered was damaged due to NO packing material in the box. The breaking point (literally), was when I ordered a 26" flat screen TV. They put it inside a large box with no packing material and at least 4" space around the tv. Needless to say, it arrived with the outer box crushed in on two sides, not to mention the tv box damaged also. When we finally found a number to call, no one could speak English, and were very hard to communicate with. This was a Christmas gift, so we asked if they were going to send out a replacemnt by Christmas, and were told we would have to wait 3 to 5 weeks. When we told them that wouldn't work, they suggested that we return it and wait for a refund and buy it from a local store. Absolutely no customer service, NOR willing to fix their mistake. They tried to blame it on UPS, but it was them who didn't put any packing material in the box. That's not UPS's fault. I will never order any expensive items from this company again. They obviously don't care what the item does, once it leaves the warehouse."
"Ordered a 50" Plasma TV, arrived cracked, refused to replace it. I lost 1299.00"
"I'm very please with Amazon products and service. My order was processed fast and shipped on time. I would order with Amazon.com again."
"This is THE BEST place to buy Amazon fulfilled orders for XBOX 360 and PS3 games. Why? Because I had an XBOX that scratched my games and when contacting Amazon about having dead disks they gave me RMS's for ALL and I got to ship back the broken ones. Not a penny lost!! Now that my XBOX is fixed again I am a happy camper. Think about this: Activision (makes the game COD 5: world at war) wanted 20$ fee and I should pay for shipping. Amazon exchanged it with no Q's asked and superfast.
Amazon fan! "
"We always look for the little things that offer greater conveniences to enhance our busy lives. Amazon has filled this role through out the year, not only during the Holidays. Much of our shopping was done through Amazon this year and we have been very please with the ease and efficiency that it has provided."
"After having used Amazon for several years, I've noticed that you must beware of the list price. When ordering the Pentax K2000 digital SLR camera, Amazon displayed the list price as being over $1000. This was inaccurate, as the MSRP is $699.95. Amazon has updated the list price since my order was placed, but it is something to note.
Aside from this practice, I've had great experience with Amazon. Their actual sale prices are usually very good and their delivery times are great unless your choice of free shipping is sent via USPS. (Not to blame Amazon for the slow delivery of USPS, but beware if you're in a hurry for your items.)
Overall, Amazon is a great place from which to order electronics. Their customer service responds quickly by e-mail and they are reachable by phone. I've been ordering books, movies, clothing, toys and electronics from Amazon since 1999 and I've always been pleased with the results."
"I have spent alot of money buying through Amazon stores and I have always been happy with the outcome. I have nothing bad to say about Amazon stores, they are 10 times better than ebay or anyone else I've bought from on the internet. "
"Ordered a NIKON D-80 kit from Amazon after falling victim to a bait and switch scam a "shop digital direct". Amazon had the lowest "real" price and they shipped for free within 4 days."
"Ordered

I happy that amazon packed my order properly and shipped it ver y quickly, I was provided a USPS tracking number and item arrived on Saturday same week which was quite surprising but so very happy and always have been happy with shopping with Amazon..

"I've been shopping with Amazon.com for many years. Overall it is one of the best online companies I've had the pleasure to deal with. What really sets Amazon apart is their customer service.
When you submit a problem to customer service their system allows you to keep that ticket open until it is resolved. On one of my recent orders the rep promised to keep an eye on my order to make sure it would ship out in time for Christmas! You simply don't get that anywhere else.
It surely does not hurt that they also have robust protections for their customers in the case of lost or defective items. And if that wasn't enough the have prices that are almost always competitive with what you'll find elsewhere (at sites that offer FAR less customer service)."
"Whenever i shop online for movies/music/games, i always check amazon. with all their 3rd party sellers, they hack down prices to compete with one another giving me (the consumer) better pricing most of the time. Unfortunately, lower prices sometimes mean a lower quality of service, but i haven't come across that at all. seller was pieceofmindbooks. excellent products and quick shipping."
"Amazon is a top of the line online retailer. I have never had any issues with them until today and they fixed it without any problems. I have used Amazon for 4 years now, probably purchasing around $3000 in items per year. Just recently I ordered 6 boxed sets of DVD's. I only received 5 in my box at home. I had Amazon call me and I explained the situation to the customer rep. She put me on hold for 2 mins and then told me "no problem sir, I will ship you the missing item overnight mail." No questions asked, no hassle, nothing! Amazing service and It was sooooo quick and easy. Amazon is the best online retailer bar none! Plus their text alerts for online availability are dead on and very helpful when you are looking for an item which is in high demand and not available anywhere."
"Amazon is the company to that does business on their name only, not bothering to even read or return emails. I ordered some nutrition bars from them, along with 5 or 6 other items. They got my order wrong so many times that when it was finally correct the bank wouldn't authorize the charge. They sent me email after email saying exactly the same thing, ...that order #blah blah needed to be submitted with a different credit card, etc. I answered them at their customer service addy over and over, explaining that I just wanted to cancel the order. I finally sent one in the largest size font I had in bright red, telling them to just forget the entire order. Yet they continued to send the exact same email for two straight days.
I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about some phoney charges their "recovery service" was running through my account adding up to 4 a month & costing me $100 each month. Their Executive Customer Service rep apologized to me through the BBB by saying, "We apologize for the delay in responding to ____'s complaint and for the unimaginable frustration this has caused her" He agreed to pay the charges immediately upon receipt of my debit card number, which I provided immediately. Ten days later, after contacting the BBB again and having the case re-opened, I get eight (8) emails saying they will refund $50 not $400 and is that acceptable?
Of course it's not acceptable. I had been promised over & over again in emails from customer service reps (all of which I saved) that I would have my refund as soon as I faxed them my bank statements for April through July. Which, like a fool, I did. And which, just two months later, I received yet another email from another representative saying exactly the same thing, word for word.
Moral of the story - Amazon is so huge that one or two customers mean nothing to them. I guess they decided I was so poor I'd accept their measly $50 with open arms.
Oh they are full of promises to get things cleared up. Yet my "unimaginable frustration" didn't mean a hill of beans when it came to the almighty dollar.
And don't attempt to get removed from their mailing lists either. You have to go to each specific department and request it. It's just as easy to find what I want at Amazon, see who the original seller is, and purchase directly from them.
"Unimaginable frustration"...PLEASE!!"
