"I ordered Stranglehold game for PS3 on Dec. 17 2007 and failed to notice that the game was supposed to arrive on Dec. 22. On Dec 24, right on Christmas Eve day, I sent an e-mail explaining them that I didn't receive the shipment, but received the other items I ordered from Amazon.com. The customer service later sent me an e-mail explaining that the item seemed to be lost in transit and offered me with two options: a full refund or a replacement. I chose the replacement and they even send it overnight without any charges. I did many purchases from Amazon.com as they have excellent prices during holiday seasons (be sure that the seller is Amazon.com and not the other merchants). Their super saver shipping for orders over $25 is also wonderful :) Definitely will be doing business with them again."

"Ordered a Philips VOIP841 PC-Free DECT 6.0 Wireless IP Phone set and one additonal phone set. Sent me an e-mail confirmation saying the anticipated delivery date will be between 2/22/08 to 2/25/08. "Amazon is THE gold standard for me for an online vendor. On average, I get several shipments a week and hundreds over the year from Amazon. I have been exceedingly happy with the service from Amazon. For any issue I have had (damage to a box, etc.), they handle it with no fuss all. Brilliant.
I, like others that keep posting, am stunned at the low rating Amazon has here. TO BE CLEAR -- The low rating of Amazon doesn't make me worry about Amazon, rather it makes me wonder about whether I will continue to value the feedback at Resellerratings.com. I experience the great service of Amazon via several shipments every week, so I *know* it is a great vendor.
So, I decided to read through the poor reviews... some glaring issues fell out quickly, it is obvious to me that there should be 2 categories for Amazon. (1) Amazon (2) Amazon Marketplace. Clearly you are dealing with 3rd parties with the Marketplace, not the Amazon store. Ranking them together is silly.
The second thing I saw before I got sick of reading all the cr-p, Amazon had some mixup with black Friday sale that they backed out of honoring some pricing error or someting (I was done reading closely after seeing whining post after whining post). Grow up kiddies and stop complaining about people taking away your free candy.
In a nutshell, the Amazon Marketplace transactions should not be counted alongside the Amazon.com store transactions.Amazon as an online vendor rocks. "
