"Their customer service is horrible. I sent them 5 emails and I recieved the same reply back every time. In my final email to them I stated that they probably did not actually read the emails they recieved and that if I did not recieve an actual reply back that I would never use their store again. I was right because they replied back with the same email I had already recieve which is only a copy of what it says on the help page. My original problem was that the website was sending me to an error page after i logged in to check out, so I couldn't buy from amazon again even if I could. Save yourself some trouble and just go to the sellers individual site."
"If you order from a 3rd party via Amazon, you will have a great experience. My overall experience on buying school books for my daughter has not been a good one.
If you buy directly from Amazon, customer support is a barrage of screens down, if you find it. They shipped a book from Dallas to Houston on the 20th of July and it is still not here. They also split my order up and the shipping fees ended up to be 6-7 dollars more than originally quoted.
M last contact with them they offered a refund on the shipping of the lost book and further advised to just wait.

"I do a lot of shopping on the web for all occasions. I bought this Krupps toaster oven from Amazon because of the reviews on their site. I also checked the Consumer Reports on this oven. after about one hour of sherching the web I found Amazon with the best price, and fastest shipping, and to top it off, I got a coupon from Amazon to buy the item even cheaper.
I love Amazon, and I have turned a lot of my friends on to them, as when you have a problem with one of their stores, action by AQmazon is very swift.
Amazon is a number 10 for me on a scale of 1 to 10 10 being the HIGHEST.

"Months of communication just to get the item shipped only to be defective then they gave a $0 refund because they said it was a replacement - even if it had been they still should have issued a refund for the defect. Countless more emails to get the purchase refunded, which they finally did but just not worth it. looks like India may be handling customer service & there could be a major language problem now. Amazon used to be the best thing going for purchase security & problem corrections but now they can't keep up with size. Bettter to search out their suppliers, merchants or smaller sources and buy direct."

I placed an order in the morning for a new Garmin Nuvi 350 navigation system from amazon’s marketplace sellers. The seller I was purchasing it from was ****@****. I promptly received a confirmation notice for my purchase.
In the afternoon I followed a link on the confirmation e-mail to check on the order’s status. The link took me to a webpage that stated the order had been canceled. There was no explanation on the page as to why, nor did I ever receive an e-mail about the cancellation.
On my amazon account page the order wasn’t listed and so I had no way to leave negative feedback about the seller. I sent an e-mail to amazon customer service asking why my order was canceled, and a link that would allow me to leave feedback about the seller.

As well as letting them know that the options they suggested for purchasing the product meant a significant increase in the cost of the product for me.

I have sent customer disservice another e-mail once again asking for a link so that I can leave a negative feedback about the seller. I also asked if amazon wanted to honor the price they had listed in their Marketplace. I also asked why they didn’t just complete my order once the “technical error” was resolved. I think it’s highly unlikely anything will come of the e-mail.
I have ordered from amazon for a long time. I’ve placed many orders from them for myself, as well as the company I work for. They used to be the first place I would look when I needed something. Now I will only order from them if I have no other choice."

"I have been ordering books and DVD's from Amazon regularly for the past year and a half. In fact, I have counted 35 orders for this period. I have never had any problems with any of my orders. Items were shipped promptly and (if shipped from the east coat) have often arrived a day or two ahead of the estimated delivery date. I will continue to be a frequent buyer from Amazon. I have been an Amazon Prime subscriber since last November and have been very satisfied with this option. "
