"I have shopped at amazon.com more than any other online store. I have been a customer since 1998 and have placed a countless number of orders. They have always come through for me and they sell pretty much everything. I like to call them the Wal-Mart of online stores. I usually avoid their online marketplace and only order items that ship directly from amazon.com and haven't experienced any problems. I am currently on a trial for Amazon Prime and am enjoying the free 2 day shipping, but my trial is ending very soon and I am going to miss it. The amount of negative reviews on here is probably a very small amount of users who use amazon.com. I am pretty sure they have many more happy customers than they do unhappy. The only thing that I wish they would change was the search function. They need to make it so that you can filter out the storefront stores and only show items that ship from amazon.com.
Regardless, I place about 5-10 orders with them a month and they never fail me. I give them my highest recommendation."
"I clicked on a link for a softcover version of a hardcover computer book, paid for 2 day shipping, and was sent an old outdated version.
The company would not work with me and I ended up having to send it back at my expense (they provided a return shipping label to download but the fine print says it is deducted from the refund because they claimed it was not their fault.)
I see that the company Customer Service division already has a 4.27 rating so my experience appears to be the norm.
I ended up buying the book I wanted from a different company."

"Avoid these people when trying to purchase cell phone service. I’m a long time Amazon buyer, so I thought I’d buy cell service through them. Their customer service is useless. They openly lied and deigned I made calls every day when inquiring about my cell phone service. They hung up on me when on hold, then refused to take my calls after calling back. The cell phone “specialists” are somehow different from their cell phone “representatives”, so all my calls were ignored and my issues were not handled properly. Now Cingular tells me Amazon has the right to charge an additional activiation fee and cancellation fee on top of what Cingular charges. It’s BS. Avoid them like the plague. "

"Very poor level of customer service.
I had a problem receiving an order from this company. I chose a one day shipping and the order was not delivered as promised. They constantly lied to me regarding the status of the order. I had tried to cancel the order on the second day but they would not let me cancel as the package was still in their warehouse. They claimed that they would charge your credit card as soon as they ship your order but in reality they would charge your credit card even though the package was still in their possesion. They could not give me a tracking number for my order until the third day of my order. Their corporate attitude is even worse than anything that I have experienced. I hope that anybody who orders from this company think twice before doing so. You will not get your money back easily from them. Also, you keep getting those stupid E-mails everytime you talk to them on the phone. They do not even bother responding to them."
