"My first experience with Amazon was terrible. Will not try to purchase from them ever again. My advice - Steer Clear!"
"Amazon is the "go to place", previously I had only purchased
out of print books until recently it seems that they stock and handle just about any merchadise that you can think of, if they don't have it they furnish a link where you can find it, just like today, I could not find a phone case at AT&T, Best Buy, or Walmart for my Nokia 920 smart that I just purchased. Amazon furnished the Link to Wireless Emporium who had several items that I needed and have now purchased."
"Amazon Order not shipped 4 days.
No feedback or processing of order in 4 days.
No way it could arrive by promised date.
Cancelled and ordered from Ebay.
Items were in stock and to be filled/shipped
by Amazon not a 3rd party.
Very diappointed in Amazon. Most past orders OK.
Some very slow.
Review rejected by Amazon will post to E-commerence review WEB sites. Terrible customer service."
"Amazon is unethical, and so are their stores. I just ordered a 3 item $90 order, and there's no reasonable way to find out how much the shipping costs until you finalize the order. It turned out to be $30 for 3 lightweight items! I've had it with their profiteering on shipping. I do like them because they have just about everything under the sun, but their web page is not easy to use. But enough with the insulting low prices where they hammer you on the shipping cost. I know for sure it doesn't cost them $10 to ship a $4 item weighting 4 Oz from stateside. Buyer beware, and look elsewhere until they fix their shipping ripoff."
"Amazon is a great place for electronics supplies. We recently bought a digital camera which came with a small memory card. So I Googled the much larger capacity memory card and found dozens at Amazon. Then using filters I was able to find one rated very high, that was high speed and cheaper (including shipping) than several other web sites. Who made it so easy and saved me money? The internet SuperStore known as Amazon. "
"Amazon has dealt with a problematic order in a fabulous manner. My recent order of a $500 uninterruptable power supply arrived damaged. Amazon offered to send out a replacement by 1 day shipping and have CEVA come to pick up the damaged unit (as it is extremely heavy). This is a superb response that I felt should be shared (and not the first time that Amazon has earned loyalty for their handling of problems with orders)."
"While I have had problems with products I have ordered, I have never had a problem with Amazon.com's customer service. Here's the story:
I bought four Silverstone Tek computer power supplies. One of them died three months later (outside the standard Amazon.com return/refund policy). So, I entered into a chat with Amazon.com customer service, expecting to go through a bit of a hassle to get a replacement of the item -- if they denied my request, I planned on explaining to them the warranty of the item. Instead of a hassle, it was easy as pie. The Amazon.com customer service rep offered to send me a prepaid return label and immediately shipped a replacement at the same time -- now that's service!
On top of that, I had to go through this same process three more times (Silverstone Tek's PSU's are junk) and each were as equally easy.
Since then, I had two more PSU's die. So, I was completely fed up and done with these junk PSU's (5 out of 8 have died within a 4 month window of purchase). I went into to chat, explained my problem to the Amazon.com rep and requested a refund for the itemds. No questions asked, no hassle, nothing . . . the representative submitted a full refund for my purchase made around 5 months ago, and sent me prepaid labels to mail the PSU's back.
When I first went into chat to request this refund, I have to admit that I was pretty angry and frustrated. After having spoken with the Amazon.com rep (while I still hate the product), the Amazon.com rep took what was originally a stressful and frustrating process for me and turned it into one where I am very satisfied and "walked away" happier than before.
In fact, I was SO impressed by this continuous exceptional service that I sought out site just laud how great my experiences have been. Keep up the great customer service Amazon!"
"Bought a couple of old movies from Amazon.com Quality left something to be desired, but better to see bad copies then none at all. "
"This is my favorite place to shop online. The selection is gigantic to say the least, and the customer service is excellent. I've also sold college books I bought used on here, and the seller services are great as well. If you've had bad customer service with Amazon it is likely a 3rd party seller, since Amazon lets them get away with pretty much. I've bought a lot from them and will continue to buy a lot from them."
"I am very happy with amazon. shipments are fast and dealing with the vendor is painless, indeed, an enjoyable experience. I use the site to buy many things over the course of time and even when there has been a problem, amazon has fixed it right away. "
"I have used Amazon.Com numerous times over the years, and have NEVER had a bad experience with them. I also buy DVD's from their UK division, Amazon.Co.UK, and my experience with them is just as good. I would reckon I have used Amazon probably hundreds of times. They are prompt, you can obtain comparative prices through them from various sellers, and they have the best and most prompt return system I have ever seen. Also (and this is the best part), you can get feedback from other buyers on the items you are checking. If you can't find an item at Amazon.com, the item is probably not made! They have everything.
Kudos to you, Amazon.Com!"
"I love Amazon. They have a nice selection of products. I broke a cell phone and had to replace the screen. I was able to order a replacement screen kit for under $10. Shipping time was a little longer than I would have hoped for, but I did receive my item.
I was also amazed with the list of resources, when I was researching the kit, it had a list of "How To" videos. I found that very helpful. "
"Love using Amazon... I really never had any problems. But... I buy my fashion stuff from smaller online retailers."
"I have both enjoyed and on other occasions have been cheated by ordering products through Amazon, without retribution. I ordered a Martha Stewart book on June 8, 2012, order #002-1886250-8973042for $19.99, and it was apparently delivered to my old address, although all account updates had been made with my new address BEFORE the order.Records show someone signed for it, yet all people living there now deny it arriving there, and it showed delivered on Amazons product status page regarding my order. The mailman was never available when id call or stopped in, Post office kept saying hes only available on Saturday mornings before 7 a.m. Of course, I was unavailable at this time and this info came at the end of my fruitless journey of trying to at least get a refund from Amazon, of trying to give a fair report of what happened on Amazon, of trying to get anything from amazon like an explanation, instead of the curt, ohwell-itsyourproblemnow, notmyfault; from the seller Avesta Ariana. Looking on that same order, there is only record I bought it, and no sign of the reports I made, or comments or bad ratings I reported. It looks as though I got it and was happy, which is a lie.Anyway, about a year later yet again on amazon,I prayed about it and ordered the same book from a different seller, and got it.
I also ordered vaccuum bags last year from Amazon, hepa filter guaranteed. They were cheap imitations, and didnt come in the packaging shown on the site. Happily, I read reviews after ordering, and when it arrived to my house, I denied the order, and sent it back, called our bank and rejected the charges. I did get a full credit. But I would bet if I had not been savvy enough to read the reviews, and accepted the package, would have been the same old martha stewart $19.99 story. Amazon has never had a person come back and help me, when I really needed the help after being scammed. They pretty much let the buyer go,nyahh nahhhhhh.
I also got several kindle books, which were never delivered to the right device, but they show I didnt complain, though I did. Other transactions have been pleasant."
"I dont know where to start with Amazon. I liked Amazon, I shop and sell on Amazon. At least I thought it is better than Ebay. But I was wrong. Ebay customer service is way better. Someone ordered from me almost 3.5 months ago. I sent the item to him and provided him with all tracking info. Just couple days ago, he sent me a message saying that he did not receive it. If he called me a week after the item was sent, I would totally refund him, but 3.5 months later, I think this is a scam. I called Amazon and they tricked me into filing an A to Z form for the buyer when it should have been the buyer who file for it. They immediately took the money out of my account and refunded him. They even said that the guy contacted me before but I did not reply. Are you kidding me? All messages sent to me are through Amazon and recorded by Amazon in the system, I check it and the first email I got from this guy was 3.5 months after the order date. Oh wait did I mentioned that the buyer can only file for this form within 90 days. I also helped him all I can and even called Amazon. I tried to appeal but they disregard my opinion totally. I called Customer Service and they played dumb with me. This is the was customer service I have ever received in my entire life. The A to Z department did not give me an answer of why they refunded back the money without any proper reasons. Do they even know about their own policies or follow their own policies?"
