"I order mostly from Amazon with a prime account, this is the best online company I have dealt with since I started ordering online. I've had a few issues which were resolved immediately. Their pricing is usually as good as any retail store, and online they usually have better prices than most other online companies unless you buy something from ebay, but not as reliable. "

"Overall solid company with a few flaws. Their leveraging of Lasership and other cheap carriers has led to some less than stellar experiences over the last couple years. I also received and used a gift card that I only wanted to use on one item, however Amazon decided to autoapply that gift card without asking to a bunch of subscribe and save items. I wasn't happy about that because I was planning to give the remaining balance to someone else. "

"We ordered our item to be shipped using AmazonPrime. Then we get a shipping confirmation that the package will be delivered by 8:00pm 2 days later. That was a shock since we didn't know deliveries could possibly come that late. Well - we had it was sent to our business address because we were likely (we thought) not going to be home when the package was delivered. Of course it was delivered at 6:43pm, when our offices were closed (at 5:30pm). Supposedly there was a note left, but we never saw it. I looked online and it said that we had a choice of either to have it redelivered or have it picked up. I decided to pick it up and called the Post Office to see which location it was going to be at. I called the closest one, and the person told me that packages were at another location and gave me a different address. So I went to retrieve the package and the lady told me that it wasn't there, it was at the original post office that I called. She checked in the back just in case. So, I went to the other post office and they told me it wasn't there, that it was at the first post office I went to. Such a mess - they didn't know where my package was. After an hour, I finally went back to the office. A little while later, in comes the post man with our box. So, we opened the box and half of the item was missing (the bottom half of a hooded cat litter box we ordered! Very disappointing after all we went through. This part was Amazon's fulfillment center's mistake. I called Amazon, which I am suppose to get a refund. Hopefully it comes in the 2-3 business days they claim. The person on the phone was friendly and helped me process everything. Unfortunately though, I have to take the package to UPS - more waste of my time."

"Terrible customer service. I got locked out of my account and tried to get help. I was sent an e-mail and told to reply from that e-mail to get assistance. I did and it was from an automated e-mail that doesn't accept e-mail just sends e-mails out. Told me to sign into my account and send customer service an e-mail for help. I'm locked out...which is why I needed to contact them. This was after spending 20 minutes on the phone with customer service. Terrible company and terrible service. I won't be buying anything else from Amazon."

"Couple of times I bought from amazon, they are quite fast and responsible. But it is disgusting while you will say something good or bad - about a stuff you bought from the store or used. They remove those feedback. This part is really horrible!!!"

"i bought a pair of memory and as a prime member i could have dont the free 2 day shipping (it takes longer because they use smartpost)but i wanted it overnight so i paid for overnight the shipping options dont say what service they use only "if i want it next day " its blah blah blah extra .. well next day came and went and it wasnt delivered so i knew they shipped it ground because friday is black friday u.p.s does not consider it a shipping day .,. had they done the honorable thing they would have indeed shipped it red or blue and at the very least would have had my package friday .. what it boils down is amazan has become a greedy cheap dishonest company overpromising and underdelivering .. shame on you amazon"

"I've heard about Amazon for a few years now but, I hadn't tried them until last Christmas. Let me tell you, I've used this company for a year now and I've got no complaints at all regarding my transactions with this company!

I get free two day shipping with my Amazon Prime account so everything I order gets to me fast, tax free and has no hidden charges!

I've recently built a new PC and most of the prices were the best I could find anywhere! The only part that wasn't the best price I ordered from a competitor and let me tell you, their customer service made me wish I paid Amazon for their Superior Service!


Another order (The one I decided to write this review about) I watched people stand in line on the week of the PS4 launch and they were waiting in line for 8 or 10 hours just to buy this game console! With Amazon, I came home, looked the product up, clicked notify me when available, and I had one ordered by 12:01 AM and at my door 2 days later!

If you want to be treated right, pay the best prices, and get those hard to find items? You want Amazon!

"The product, a support undergarment for vulvar varicose veins, appeared to have been used. It was dirty, and if I'm going to be asked to pay full-price for a NEW product, it better be new and clean.

Amazon did absolutely nothing to resolve the situation. It was so bad I was scared to wear it and ended up getting one from a company I'd never heard of called Egan Medical (www.eganmedical.com).

Now this new company's price was better, I received it on a Wednesday when I ordered it the previous Monday (2 days), and their customer service staff was easy to access and very helpful. I ended up not needing to exchange it, but they assured me it wouldn't have been a problem if I had.

If anyone else is considering buying from Amazon, I'd recommend going ANYWHERE else first.

"This review is of the Amazon Gift Card only. I received a gift card and redeemed it into my amazon account. After several failed attempts to use the $50 amount I contacted customer service. "Paula" advised me that I would not be able to make a transaction until I provided a new credit card number despite my account showing a credit of $50. She even asked me to borrow someone else's credit card number...what???. In my opinion, this is very close to fraud."

Not the Amazon I used to love..

"Like many others, I've been shopping with Amazon for a very long time. Recently, their pricing has been consistently on par with the majority of retailers, which is fair, but somewhat far away from the competitive pricing they once had in the past. Packaging hasn't always been perfect, but generally much better than that of most other retailers. Shipping speed is usually much faster than expected, though occasionally an order seems to take too long before shipping out. Customer service has been mixed, with initial inquiries being answered poorly (usually seems like they didn't actually read your question) - while subsequent follow-up questions with 2nd tier service representatives have been outstanding, as they seem very committed to providing a resolution to any issue I've ever had. In whole, Amazon isn't quite as great as they used to be - but they're still pretty dang good to deal with, and I really do enjoy shopping with them.

UPDATE: Amazon is no longer the "customer-centric" company they once were. Placed an order over a month ago for an item shipped and sold by Amazon.com with only 2 left in-stock, and added on several other item to my order while I was there. Weeks went by and my other items arrived, but not even an email from Amazon notifying me that my initial item was late. Arrival date for this item kept getting bumped to later and later dates. Finally after contacting their customer service, I was told the item was backordered, then later that there was an issue that was fixed and that I would be receiving my order in a few days. Over a month later, and after several back-and-forth emails with customer service, I was bluntly told that there was a technical issue and not to expect my delivery at all.. ever, and that there wasn't anything they could do about it. During the entire time, this item showed as in-stock and ready to ship from Amazon.com on the product page dozens of times, eventually disappearing, but never shipping out for my order. Customer service was deceitful, and every single rep I spoke with lied to me in one way or another. Cancelled my order today and ordered the same item from another retailer for a few bucks more. Absolutely one of my all-time worst shopping experiences, and was very surprised that Amazon, who once had amazing customer service in the past, didn't even attempt to make things right.

"Well to be honest with everyone who writes reviews everyday and never actually give a decent review.
I love amazing, for small, for large, for electronic, for clothes and useful things such as a solar charging case for my iPhone or a 128GB USB with 3.0 connection.
I was kept up-to-date with everything I needed to know and was not exited with the time it takes for shipments to arrive but nothing that amazon can "specifically" do to help this.
So overall, amazon is a fair as any other major seller on the Internet now.

"Amazon.com is TERRIBLE and does not cater to pleasing its customers whatsoever.

I ordered a book over 1.5 weeks ago to prepare for a standardized test next month (mind you, they do not have to ship the book internationally or anything difficult) and it was supposed to have been delivered by now according to THEIR email. However, IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN SHIPPED YET. I called Amazon several days ago, and was informed that I should wait. I called them again today telling them I'd like to cancel my order and they said I could not cancel it EVEN THOUGH THE ITEM STILL HASN'T BEEN SHIPPED. Instead, I have to wait for the item to get here (whenever that happens), send it back to them, wait for them to receive the item, and then wait for them to refund me.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE experience. I will never purchase an item from Amazon ever again. Not worth the hassle and inconsidersation they show their customers.
