"Amazon is where I have purchased many of my textbooks because they are cheaper than the college bookstore. I have also purchased a few mp3 players from them. I can easily compare prices, but you have to be careful which vendor you choose from. Some of the sellers are very slow with shipping, others aren't honest about the state of their textbooks. "

"I tried to cancel part of my order that hadn't shipped yet, since the order had only been made hours ago. I received a response email from Amazon stating "We are unable to cancel your order ...... ". This is on a weekend, and only the first part of the order was being shipped, not the second part, which was the part I was trying to ship. My reason for canceling was one of the valid reasons offered, yet it was ignored. Amazon WILL NOT cancel any unshipped order, even if the reason is valid."

"I have used amazon for many years and have never had an issue. I mainly use it to buy my college textbook and they have been wonderful. This time I had a gift card balance from selling back some books and when I went to buy some for the new semester I made sure that the gift card balance was being used towards the order and I know that when I checked out it said that I owed the left over balance. When I checked my credit card account it showed that they were charging me the FULL amount. And since the orders had already shipped by the time my credit card showed the pending transaction they couldn't do anything about it so now I have to send back some of the books and reorder them in order the get my money back. Now I will probably not have my books until two weeks into school. It is not my fault that their computer messed up and I plan on calling them everyday until they do something to fix this issue. "
"They've always had my back. They have come through for me when their less reputable marketplace sellers tried to screw me over and have always been patient and considerate with my questions and concerns about various matters. Their packing is usually quite efficient and delivery doesn't take very long at all, even with free super save shipping, despite the fact that they don't usually ship FSS orders out until 3 days after they're placed (you get what you pay for, as they say), you still get your items within a week generally. "
"Amazon is starting to slip. When I placed my order for the item I wanted it had the model number of the item I wanted. After placing the order the description of the item was changed to a DIFFERENT model number. I called Amazon on two occasions, but it was like I was talking to machine. The representatives don't do a good job of listening and tried to give me the manufacturers phone number for some reason. Amazon messed up and they won't help. I order more from Amazon than I buy at anywhere... that changes NOW. "

"Consistently horribly slow shipping. I have no clue why amazon, the supposed number 1 online retailer, takes such excessive times to process orders (3+ business days). Most companies are able to ship in stock items within 24 hours. Even their customer service cannot tell you when it will ship, and delivery estimates vary greatly - mine ranged an entire week, for simple 1 in stock item orders."
"Amazon has been great for years until just recently with their shipping practice.
The Subscribe and Save program doesn't ship out your order until a month later. This is very inconvenience if you need something now and continue in the future and you won't get the item until a month later.
The Super Saver Shipping option, my order was placed a week ago but still no tracking number a week later. Do they have to wait a week and more to ship the orders out? How can they survive if they continue doing business like this. Myself will definitely think twice about buying from Amazon in the future. If you offer free shipping option, then ship your orders in a day or 2 like other merchants do."
