"Our GE dryer started chirping occasionally a few months ago like a smoke alarm with a weak battery. I didn't worry about it too much as it really was not that noticeable. Last week the sound changed to a loud constant squeal. It was now the time to decide to repair or replace. The wife looked at new dryers and I pulled the front off the old one. Thirty minutes later I tell her to let me price the parts it needed. Checked about 8 different sites including AppliancePartsPros.com and decided they had the best prices. Around $124 with shipping verses $650 to replace made it an easy decision. Chose 3 day normal shipping and placed the order. The parts came in a day earlier than expected and were installed in the same time it took to pull it apart. For an hour of my time we saved $526 and she didn't have a broken dryer sitting there for days or weeks."
