"I initially placed my order with ApplianceZone because the price was 39% lower than anywhere else. When the invoice printed out, it was very generic and did not have "Appliance Zone" even mentioned on the page. I got nervous and did a Google search for reviews and found this site and ater reading all the negitives, I got real nervous and decided to cancel the order. I tried the Live chat feature on their website and after the quick response and personnal assurance from Jessica that the items I ordered were in stock and would ship today, I decided not to cancel the order. Low and behold, I got home last night, one day after ordering, and the parts I needed to fix my dishwasher were there waiting for me. I looked over the packaging and parts suspiciously trying to find something to sustantiate the savings I recieved and the bad reviews I read and I found NOTHING. Everything was there, in good shape and looked right. In summary, usually I listen to these reviews for guidance, and if I had not already placed the order, I never would have after reading these reviews. However, I am very glad I didn't see the reviews first and will not hesitate to order from Appliance Zone again. "
"Be VERY Careful!
My first order with Appliance Zone went well, although the shipping took longer than what I had thought it should even paying extra for expedited shipping. However, there was a weekend involved.
My last order will be my very last dealing with Appliance Zone! I used online chat when I placed my first order and got a price for an oven controller we thought was needed.and was given a part number. The part finally totally gave out and finds were available, so I placed the order for the part on 2/1/2011.
The part arrived and was incorrect. 02/10/11, I contacted the company (chat) and explained the error. I was given a different part number and told to:
1. Purchase the correct part from us.
2. Send me an e-mail with the new invoice number.
3. I will send you a return authorization number via e-mail with instructions.
I explained funds were not available to make an additional purchase and asked for an RA. Delays in responses to my email, no telephone contact options, no return authorization and a non working oven as well as the chance of purchasing another part that with no return guarantee led me to purchase the correct part from another company.
With many contact options offered and a full return guarantee, I tried out the new companies, chat, email and telephone contact options and verified the return guarantee policy before placing an order. I quickly received the new part and had it installed before I finally had a return authorization from Appliance Zone!
Many emails and to many days later on 02/28/11, I am finally granted a return authorization. 18 days is too long to wait for a return authorization!
Please, read all the fine print and return policies and check out the competition before placing an order with Appliance Zone! Paying a few dollars more was well worth the money in my case, but I still have a brand new part that can not be returned, except for store credit, and only if the returned part were to be OK'd and accepted by Appliance Zone
Oh, the award listed on the web site is for the Appliance Zone race car, not the business. Read the fine print!"
"Do NOT do business with Appliance Zone. We placed an order for a broken dryer part, and two parts were sent to us. It took forever to get an RMA number from them for the extra part and WE had to pay the return shipping.
After several weeks of not being credited for the return, we contacted our credit card company to file a claim. Appliance Zone then credited us $1 (ONE DOLLAR). We contacted our credit card company again, and they stated that Appliance Zone claimed they never received the return.
Of course I had the FEDEX signed Proof of Delivery form, so I'm sure our Credit Card company will credit us the full amount, but it goes without saying that Appliance Zone RIPS OFF CUSTOMERS.
Hopefully more customers will read the negative reviews and stop doing business with this unscrupulous company."
" I purchased a knob for a 10 year old GE stove top and was very pleased with Appliancezone's price and service. The product was in stock and arrived at my home within a few days. When I went on their site to check the status an on-line chat window opened up and the customer service reps were prompt and very helpful in getting me information. "
"I bought a part that I ended up not needing, and sent in a request for a RMA, which was denied - I have bought hundreds of items from online stores for 10 years and I have never not been able to return a brand new, unuused item, days within receiving it. Apparently they have an extremely strict return policy.. as a way to maximize their profits. They don't accept returns on many items, and if they do, they deduct a good amount of money from restocking and shipping fees. "
"Web site does not tell you shipping or possible sales tax until after you have entered your Credit Card information. When is the last time you purchased something and handed over your CC before you knew what the total was?"
"Thieves. Sent me the wrong part and wouldn't take it back. $72 down the drain."
"I had the advantage of having worked with the owner of this site directly. Then one day, I actually needed an appliance part. So I checked out his site. Luckily I remembered that he had complained about bad reviews, so I did some research before buying what I thought was the best price, at his website. Turned out their return policy is where they get you. If you have a problem, don't expect any help what so ever. Their return policy is so restrictive that they 100% have a plan in place to make sure they do not help you if something goes wrong with the transaction. BTW, I found the part at SEARS, because they have a 90 day no hassle return policy, and it was more, but then I found a 10% off coupon code which made the part cheaper too!!"
"People BEWARE about this webside. read first reviews about Appliancezone and if you dont want a problems dont use. I made mistake first bought part and than had a problem, becouse didnt read reviews. Order belt than return next day, becouse i found out that my dryer under warranty. I wait 2 weeks for refund, than contact lifechart(no ph numbers) they chrge me 20% restoking fee for item not use and not opened and returned within 4 days"
"Ditto last comment. ApplianceZone charged my card for a purchase they did not have in stock. I called today to check on it (3 weeks later) and was told that the item was not longer available. I explained to the woman in the chat that I had spoken with Frigidaire and they stated they still made the part. I asked her to double check and she said it was definitely discontinued and would take 1-2 weeks to get a refund to me. I asked her if it took them 1-2 weeks to charge my card but didn't get an answer. I called Frigidaire and ordered the part using the exact same part number from them. These folks are nothing more than a cash flow scam (using our money to finance their business interest free) in my opinion. AVOID at all costs. Order your parts from the Mfgr and save yourself the heartache."
"Great experience. They delivered the correct item, quickly and without damage.
I was very happy I could replace two broken Samsung refrigerator drawers for less than $30.
"
"Buyers beware! Call before ordering online--if an item is out of stock, do not order it! ApplianceZone will take the order, push the backorder date further month by month, and continue to sit on your money until you request a refund. Refunds are given very slowly (2 months). I tried twice to purchase a workbowl and lid for a discontinued KitchenAid food processor (KFP600) twice. The items have been "on backorder" since last August. Apparently, this company does not pull items from unreliable manufacturers off their site."
"I tried to order a $125 part and the website froze up. I started getting emails that I had ordered over 100 of the item separately. They charged my card immediately for $1500.00. I tried to rectify thru live chat , finally after an hour they said the orders were cancelled. I got an email (You can't call them) saying they would credit my account in 2 to three weeks."
"Not what I ordered! No Return!
Description and picture (described and showed) Original manufactured water filter. I received an off brand item that was "comparable" but only 1/2 the filtering capacity of the original. So it actually cost me double the price to filter the same amount.
I looked to see how to return the filters to find the invoice small print stated "no return on water filters".
"reviews" from other online review centers (all owned by the same parent company) list the company as good. When I tried to submit my own review, I found no place on any of the review websites to do so. Unbelievable but not a surprise as the parent company's focus is selling advertisement."
"The item ordered was shipped and arrived in a timely manner, although communication left something to be desired (the only email received was an order confirmation). The part ordered was a set of replacement knobs that came up when a Whirlpool oven model number was entered in their search system. The generic knobs ended up being designed to replace a range top system, not strictly appropriate to the oven model submitted. With a little modification (plastic spacer placed within the knob inset), it was possible to make the knob work on the oven. All-in-all, considering the reasonable price and rapid shipment, the transaction was not an unpleasant experience. But one needs to take the output of their search system with a grain of salt. "
