"From now on we will check Axion first before
purchasing elsewhere. As long as the price and
availability are in the ballpark they
get the sale. We've been shystered too
many times now, but not by Axion yet.
They stay on our vendor list, many do not."
"Really fast turnaround, best prices I've found on some goods. Excellent job!"
"Called to order products listed on pricewatch and was told that the cost would be double what they had listed on pricewatch. Price of the router had been updated on pricewatch yesterday and they refused to honor it today.
UPDATE - I did reply to Andrew with exact details and his only response was that I was correct that they did not honor the pricewatch price. Their website now has the router for $5 more than pricewatch had it for and yet no explanation of why I was quoted $70 has been provided. I will retract the bait and switch comment as in fairness the salesperson did not attempt to sell me any other merchandise - they just didnt honor the price."
"first time use - I live in Abu Dhabi i.e. international customer - Axion Tech responded quickly to my enquiry and product was shipped promptly - full marks for job well done"
"I ordered a spindle of DVDs. My initial shipment was mislabeled and UPS returned it to the shipper. When I complained to Axion that I didn't want to wait another week for standard shipping, they quickly overnighted a new spindle to me. After an honest mistake they quickly ensured that I had my merchandise and I would not hesitate to recommend purchasing from Axion."
"Found what I was looking for really easy. (Ati radeon 9500 pro) Ordered it and got the 2day shipping and it was here right on time. This store rocks! I will definatly shop here again! A+"
"Ordered and received the product in 3 days total time. great service."
"This company has gone down hill in a big way.
They have lied to me, they seem to be trying to defraud me, and seem completely unwilling to do anything about it.
example:
On July 03 2003 I purchased Memory, a HDD, and an OEM version of Windows XP. The next day I received an email stating that my credit card did not go through, so I called them back to find out why and was told "I don't know, it just went through okay" My credit card was billed the full amount immediately, and within a day I received email stating that my order had shipped. A week later I still had not received my order. I went online to retrieve the tracking number but their system would not provide one. I called the sales dept. to request a tracking number and was told that since their orders go through third party resellers that they would have to get the tracking number from them and email it to me. Several days went by and still no tracking number and no email. I sent their customer service dept. an email stating that I was upset and felt that they were purposely withholding the tracking number because I did not believe that it takes over a week to ship anything from Houston to Tulsa. The next day I received the tracking number and proceeded to UPS's website to look up the whereabouts of my package, only to find that it had indeed only been shipped the day before. It is now the 15th and my package finally arrived. (12 days after they stated it had shipped) The packing slip for the order was literally a Xerox copy of the OEM CD and nothing more!! Upon inspection I found that the HDD was never shipped. I immediately called the customer service dept. to inform them of the problem and was told that they would have to call the reseller and send me an email. I stated that they had botched the credit card, the original ship date, and now the order was incorrect and asked them what they planned to do about it to make it right. I was told that they did not know if they could do anything and I would have to wait for an email. I told them that the last time they told they would email me they didn't and could they guarantee a call to me instead. No. Must wait for email.
Now I became suspicious and re-examined the order. Sure enough the memory that I ordered was CS3 memory instead of the CS2 memory I had ordered. I had wanted the higher-grade memory, had paid the price of the higher-grade memory, and had been invoiced for the higher-grade memory. Both the invoice and part number clearly state CAS2 and yet I was sent C3 memory instead.
I am a PC/Network consultant and routinely place orders with online companies for the supplies I need, as I need them.
Any one of these errors by themselves would not have caused a lot of concern as simple mistakes happen. All of them? that is suspicious. Their complete lack of concern when I called them? More than suspicious. Their unwillingness to call back or communicate other than email?? Very suspicious.

07-17-03 Follow up.
Dvj - deleted follow up comment. Appearently sprint was having some problems with their voice mail and I didn't get their call back on 07-17-03.
Also upon further reflection I have decided that since my side comment about a previous expierence did not deal with this particular experience I have removed it as "off subject"
Will post follow up after C.O.B. today"
"Bought a network card from Axion, good price & great delivery. Second time I've used them and have had no problems. "
"Fast service, excellent communications and shipping was as advertised! Thanks again!"
"It was shipped quick, and the price was really good, and NO shipping cost, it was a quick and easy purchase."
"Wonderful Experience. Got my order out the same day and immediately sent me a tracking number with an invoice attached. EXCELLENT customer service. More companies should take your lead. I am not sure of the size of Axion, but they have spent a lot of time and money into setting-up a wonderful infrastructure that makes for a wonderful customer experience."
"Just had not so positive experience with this company.
Ordered a TFT Display.. for 1200+ USD..
Canceled the order the same day through their "cancel order" link in your account.
since I noticed that my laptop cannot support the high 1600x1200 resolution.. and ordered another smaller screen..
Order was still shipped.. even though box is not opened.. they said they would not be able to refund the full amount since they would need to sell the unit now as "used"..
Axiontech has great prices and a nice selection, yet Clay in customer support handled my problem not very professionally (Kept trying to put the responsibility on me by making conflicting statements over the course of our conversation) and their system has serious flaws - clicking on "Cancel Order" link does not cancel it.
They do have in their terms "Order(s) may be modified only by telephone and only during our normal business hours"
Yet those are not displayed during the ordering process.. and do still not explain what the "Cancel Order " button does in the account.
I also sent an email after the cancel button did not work.. asking them to cancel..
they said they sent an email asking me to refuse the order.. i do believe them.. yet I never got the email.. and no signature was required so shipper just left it on porch.
I strongly suggest to order there only if you are 100% sure that you will not need to interact with the company on canceling.. etc.
I will not order there again since I prefer ordering from a company that addresses problems like these in a more pro-active manner and with more people skills.
So now I have 2 new TFT's.. will keep both:)
But left a sour taste in my mouth from Axion. which could have been easily avoided.

"I used to like Axiontech, but last time I went with a neighbor to do some shopping. Customer service was a bit weird, I was standing right next to the counter and although the clerk was helping another customer (more like chatting about PCs really), he didn't even bother to call the other guys to come and help me. I was standing there at least for 7 minutes. But that's not what made me mad.
One of the items we ordered was an ATI Radio 9000 Pro Remote Wonder OEM. The bags the cables were in had holes. Tell me, how would u feel if you ordered something over the internet and it came in like that? When we got home, we realized that they didn't include the remote. We went to return the order the next day to get the remote. They gave us a new set. Still holes in bags covering cables. This time, the manual was for a 7500 video card (it was also all crumbled up).
I know it's my fault for not checking the items up front, and i just hated having to come back and forth. I will most probably shop there again, they have great prices and selections (not to mention wall mounted computers for you to find items), but just make sure you check everything and ask questions upfront. You'll save yourself alot trouble!"
"Quick, accurate service, great pricing.
Purchased a CPU Cooling fan about 10 to 15% cheaper than the rest at Pricegrabber.
Only comment would be a $12 2nd day shipping cost, using a Mobo sized box to ship a CPU cooler...But, on the other side, it was more than packaged safely using that big of a box and packing materials. Will look forward to doing business again..."
