"I ordered a Sony HDR-SR8 camcorder from Best Price Cameras at their low price of approx. $730 when they called me back they tried to sell me more merchandise and I said no. When I called to check on my order they said that it was backordered and they didn't know when it would come in and asked if I would like to cancel it. I agreed. Several days later I decided to test them and order one of their packages for for the Sony camcorder, about $1200. When they called me back to confirm they began saying that I will need a battery charger, batteries, etc. By the time they were through the new total was over $1800. When I decided to check on my order they had not received the camera from Sony but said that it would come in any day. They had already charged my Amex card for the total amount. After reading the reviews of the store I decided to cancel my order since it hadn't been recieved by them as of the date of my cancellation. When I called to cancel I spoke with the same person who had given me an update on my previous order and he mentioned that he could not cancel my order and that I would have to speak to his sales manager, Chris X 244. He switched me to Chris and I got his voice mail and left a message to cancel my order and gave him the order number. Then I decided to follow up the call with an email to cancel my order. When I did that my email came back because their email box was full. I have called Amex and allerted them of the dispute and they said that if the store sends the camera to refuse the package and have it sent back to the store. If I did that then they would debit their account and credit mine. As of 8/9/2007 I have filed a complaint with the New York Attorney General's office and with the New York FBI Division prosecuting internet fraud and mail fraud. Bottom line: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BEST PRICE CAMERAS!!!!

"It a terrible retailer. I bought nikon d200 and a nikon lens 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S DX VR (the package number 15 on the website). When I called for order, they asked me to buy a batery and a charger. I did since I think that the price of camera and lens are cheaper and it makes some sense that they try to sell me some expensive accessries. However, when I get the order, instead of getting the Nikkor lens I got a sigma lens which is more than $400 less expensive than the Nikkor one. Also the camera is in a open box. I called in and spent a lot of time to talk to them. They agree to accept my return but I asked to pay 10% instock fee. I have to call my credit card company to dispute this. The case is still on pending. If you think that you can do business with those guys, you will be fooled one way or another."

"THIS COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS !!! THE WHOLE THINK IS FRAUD AND I WONDER IS THERE A WAY TO REMOVE THESE ASS HOLES FROM THE WEB. "BestPriceCameras.Com is a terrible company and should not be in business. I attempted to purchase a Nikon D80 package from them before a gut feeling and this website and others aided me in choosing to cancel the order and my card. They do offer the BEST price but they will never honor it nor ship the actual product. Their customer service is horrible. I spoke with Ken who was short and seemed to be busy. Our last conversation he just told me that the order would be on hold and ship 5-7 weeks later and if I were okay with it. Before I could respond he had hung up. I attempted to call and he said the order was being processed and hung up again. He never confirmed a price or the actual content of the items. He attempted to upsell me but I stood my ground and he grew tired of me thus would not even give me the time of day. I ended up canceling the order. They are not reliable and I recommend not using them. I did purchase my Nikon D80 at Adorama and I was happy. I have reviewed them as well. You can check out my website about the purchase. www.euroabroad.com - I am going on vacation in September and needed the camera in advance so I could get familiar with it.

Note: Do NOT buy from this vendor if you do not want to be scammed and then go through the long process of disputing your charges. They are not worth the trouble. Believe me!

"They suck, i order an 2-way Video DV Rewinder i order to test the company, i didn't know about this site back then, and when my order arrive it worked for the first 3 hrs and after that it wouldn't work and i called them to exchange they said send back to us and will ship the replacement to me but the problem that the address they gave to me to send back it doesn't exist in New York"

"I called Best Price Cameras to order a simple Nikon 18-200 lens because their website said there was free shipping on that particular lens. Imagine my surprise when I received the lens but was charged 48.95 for shipping. When I called them to get a refund, I was put on hold -(I am still on hold)- for over 30 minutes. They obviously do not want to refund the fradulent shipping charge. "

"This was my worst online shopping experience. The website advertising camera and lenses but never states that the are not available. I went through entire order process including my credit card number and at the end I was not even provided and invoice to print for my reference. I have not heard anything about my order for a week and so I made a phonecall on their 800 number. I took 20 minutes to get through. Finally I was told that my order was cancelled without anyone notifying me. This store has my credit information and considering their authenticity, I am concerned what may come next."

"SO I found this incredible deal on this site. Pulled the trigger on a Nikon D200 body and was immediately surprised that the confirmation page was for the billing and shipping addresses only. "Weird" I thought and clicked OK thinking maybe the rest would be on the next page. "Order placed".

I also thought it was strange that I did not get a confirmation email. The next morning, at work, I did a search on "bestpricecameras.com experience" and found this site. A few minutes later and I was literally sweating from every pore. I called my bank and asked what I could do. No charge yet (wheww!) so I ended up canceling my debit card and ordered a new one. Last night I received an email from "Scott" stating:

"Dear Valued Customer,

Your item has been placed on backorder. Nothing has been charged to you credit card. You will be contacted as soon as your item becomes available.
We are sorry at this point we do not have any ETA. Once the item does become available we will ship the order out Overnight At no charge to you.

"Don't waste your time here. Order placed on June 5. Got a call immediately saying I needed to buy accessories. No thanks. Was told it would ship in 3-4 weeks. Tried calling, no answer. Almost 7 weeks has passed. Still no answer on the phone. I got a canned email reply saying it was on backorder. Tried calling again, no answer. I finally figured 'screw them' and called my credit card company and had them change my account number. They might have the best price, but they have the worst service of any company I've ever tried to deal with."

"BE WARNED! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I last purchased my Canon XTi + lenses which should have come out to less than $800. Ended up costing $1390 for the battery & charger which Mark insisted they charged the cheapest + insurance on the camera. Stupid me. I thought my lesson was learned the first time. However, realized I didn't want to spend that much money on the product so the next day I called to cancel and customer service rep told me that it was already shipped. He told me that I can just return it once I get it. So, the product arrived about 7 days later. Returned the product the next day. Was received by them on 6/14/07. When I called them after the camera arrived back to them, they said it would take up to 21 days for the money to returned back to my account. And they let me know that there would be a 10% restocking fee. I NEVER OPENED THE BOX and they were charging me the restocking fee. This upset me and I'm sure that they hadn't shipped the product when I called and they charged me 10%. And I paid for the shipping and shipping insurance for the product (which was not included with the 10%).

About 3 weeks after the 2nd call, I called them because my money still hadn't come in back to my credit card and I wasn't sure why it was taking so long. Mark, the man in charge of the refund process, was so rude to me. Asking me if I could even count out the 21 days and he told ME to count out the days it would take for me to receive my refund. I was so appalled at his response, it's HE who should be telling me how many days are left before the last day is up. We ended counting out the days together (after Mark told me that they were 21 BUSINESS days, which is not mentioned in the website) He skipped one of the business days from the 21 BUSINESS DAYS, stating that it's a JEWISH HOLIDAY and they don't work on that day. (So, how the hell was i suppose to know that information. They were totally BS'ing me)After we counted, it ended up that the money should be back to my credit card within 2 days later. So he said by Wednesday, June 13th, is the last day for the 21 business days that I would have to wait. They also didn't start counting until the day after they received the returned product.
And of course, throughout this whole conversation, Mark was very rude, speaking in a derogatory manner, very sarcastic, offensive, and just mean. I've never encountered anyone who spoke like this man. I ended the conversation by stating that if he doesn't have the money in their by June 13th, the 21st business day, I stated that I would sue him for my money. How ridiculous is that? It's my money, that he needs to return to me. I don't have the product, he took my 10%, and I still don't have my refund.

Well, today is July 16, 2007, more than a month after the last conversation. My husband wrote the company an email a couple of days ago, to attempt to get the refund back without the courts, but to no avail. We are currently in the process of taking legal action in order to get my money back.

"This place is a joke, and not even a funny one at that. Their price for a Canon Powershot G7 ($332) doesn't include the battery or charger. Guess they take it out of the box if you don't want it. And they refuse to tell you if the camera is gray market/USA. The salesman asked me "Why would you ask that question?" You don't even want to waste your time on hold with these imbeciles."
