"So here's my story. I found the Nikon D80 kit listed on their website for around $500 cheaper than any other vendor. I thought I had been a savvy shopper; so I made the purchase and realized I had posted my home address with my work city so called the company to have this corrected. The sales guy said he would make the correction and then asked me if I wanted to purchase a battery. I told him no, one battery would be plenty and he informed me that the camera did not come with a battery or charger. I then switched into scam detection mode knowing these items were standard issue for a Nikon kit. Without showing my concern I proceeded to ask him what my purchase did include. He informed me that my purchase only included the camera body itself and that I had purchased the basic body at that, but that he could upgrade me to the magnesium body for a nominal fee. Luckily I had been researching the Nikon N80 for a while and knew that Nikon does not make a magnesium body for the N80. At this point I told him to cancel my order, which he agreed to do, but hung up before I could ask for some form of confirmation. Ofcourse I Still canceled my card for good measure. At best this company is very misleading."
"In my opinion, they are SCAMMERS, and RUDE, threatening to say the least. No answer on the phone for two days "during regular business hours", my e-mail returned to sender as their mailbox was "over quota"; at least I cancelled my credit card before it was charged! They then called and said they were sending the product anyway.Their excuse was, "it was Passover", although their website nor message ever said ANYTHING about that... Wasn't a banking holiday or anything I knew of. Alas...
How was I to know? I'm a Colorado Christian...
This is the Worst Company I ever tried to do business with! I have lodged a complaint with the Attorney's General Office in New York."
"Extremely dissatisfied. I tried buying a video camera from them, after placing the order and getting the verification call they told me that the camera comes with no cables or batteries, and they try to sell those to you at a extremely hi price $400 for cable and battery. Terrible custmer service skills. It's all a big scam. Stay AWAY, FAR AWAY from these people."
"This company needs to be shut down and I will do everything I can and will utilize every possible resource I can locate to help make that happen. These guys are absolute crooks. They stole $106 dollars from me by over charging my account. They also tried to sell me an extra battery. I didn't fall for it, but darn if they didn't charge me for it anyway and didn't send it along with my camera. my camcorder has cost me $500 and I could have bought it at a local retailer for about $370. I've called and emailed countless numbers of times with the same expereiences as others who have posted here. I currently have my bank fraud department trying to help me recover my money.
"
"Thankfully enough, I didn't buy from this store. I only found out about ResellerRatings when I went to research BestPriceCamera. I called to purchase a Canon 5D, for an unbelievable price - ($1500), and immediately was told that I'd need to buy a battery, (I advised that I already had several), then they told me that the camera would not work in the US, as it was a Malaysian model. This dealer is clearly working the grey market, and smart consumers should take this into consideration. Price isn't everything, especially when it comes to warranties, repairs and such matters. "
"Only one thing to say: Read all of the reviews that appear here. They are all true per my experience. And don't be fooled if their ad says "In Stock." That just means that the item may be in stock somewhere in the world and is no indication that it will ship soon.
I called to verify that the Nikon 18-200mm VR AF lens was indeed in stock as implied in their "Google" listing. The salesman said it was indeed in stock and that he'd take my order. I gave him all of the info, including my credit card number. He then rudely tried to sell me accessories, like filters, that I did not want. He even tried to sell me items that normally come with the lens (like the lens pouch and hood). When I finally got it across to him that I wasn't going to buy any of these, he gave me an order number, said that I'd see the lens in 3-5 WEEKS, then hung up before I could ask why so long if in stock?!
I emailed customer service to ask for written confirmation and explanation as to why, if the item was in stock, would it take 3-5 weeks to get it. I never got a response. I called Customer Service to ask the same question and was told that the delay was because it shops from Malaysia.
I then read the horror stories on this site, and cancelled my order today. The guy gave me no hassles on cancelling. However, in reading about the bogus charges that occurred in some of these reviews, I decided to cancel my credit card number just to be safe.
BEWARE!! THERE'S A REASON THE ADVERTISED PRICE IS LOW!!!

"I was going to order Sony HDR-HC7 series cam-corder from these guys seeing the dirt cheap price ($709) they had it for. So, I called to confirm this ridiculously low price (one will... as it's just too low) and ask couple of more questions about accessories. Conversation started with an answer of rude "Yeah' and then sales guy goes "don't have it and don't call again about it". Is this the answer customer expects from a sales guy? Consequently, I read these reviews in here which made me feel much better that i didn't order it. had I ordered then I can lay a bet that I wouldn't have received it in time and would have received with missing parts. These Guys are TABOO on US Consumer Industry and more pathetic thing is they pop-up top in Google while one searches for good price electronics. It's pity. I wonder how they are operating after so many complaints.!!!"
"I was very reluctant to deal with this company because of all the bad press on the internet.
I was going to cancel the order until I spoke to Michael Russo, the manager. He was very professional and answered all my questions and concerns. He faxed me the information I requested and the deal for my pioneer plasma tv went smoothly. If you do decide to buy from this company make sure you ask questions and know what your buying. This will clear up any misunderstandings. I am very happy with the deal I got, the delivery company was excellent and everything I was told was true. My salesman was Victor and he was terrific. I will buy from them in the future."
"I can only add to the pile of "These guys are crooks!" comments piling up so far. I'd already been warned by my parents, back in college, not to buy a "too-good-to-be-true" item--because the prices usually *weren't* true. I remembered their warning, but when I saw my long-coveted 28-135mm Canon EF lens for $200 cheaper than anyone else was selling it, I went against my better judgment and placed an order.
Folks, never do that. Fortunately, my experience didn't end up being as horrible as many others' on this site: I wasn't called by any rude salespeople, my card wasn't charged (it's now cancelled--honestly, what a hassle to have to deal with when you THINK you're giving yourself a long-awaited treat instead!), but I am sure glad I found out the truth before any of that did happen. My experience would likely have been the same as the lady's whose son tried to buy a Canon lens.
My path now? Straight to Amazon, to buy from someone reputable. "
"KEEP AWAY! I "ordered" a Nikon D70s from them online...the price was about half of what anyone else was selling it for. I got an uneasy feeling and decided to do some checking. I found this site and was able to cancel the credit card before the charges were made. The salesman called...just as the previous posters said he would...to sell me what I had already thought I purchased. When I said I'd like to cancel the order, he hung up on me. I feel lucky...I am not out anything...and I am better off not having the credit card for a week than worrying about these crooks for the next 6 months. "
"Scam Beware.
After making a purchase online I was called the next day by an aggressive, demeaning salesperson who would not give me his name. I was asked if I wanted to buy a 4hr or 6hr battery for my camcorder. I said that I wanted just the battery that it came with. He said there was no battery. Well the add said box unopened. It is supposed to have a battery come with it. I told him then no battery and I want the box unopened. He said he can't do that and I am required to buy a battery. He then offered me a bundle package that would solve the problem and tried to explain it with filters, case, tripod, warranty etc. I asked him to give me the make and models of all the accessories to see if it was worth it and details of the warranty. He told me that I was wasting his time. I said fine then lets just cancel the order. He then told me that I would have to pay a restock fee of $135. I laughed because the item hasn't even been shipped yet. I told him that I wasn't going to pay it. He said "Listen dude trust me you will pay the fee that there was no way getting around it. Would you rather pay the $135. for nothing or $1050 for this camera." Original price was $599. I told him that I just wanted my original order without the accessories. He then said the final price would be $780 something. I said sure thats fine. I got off the phone and cancelled my card. I received a call the next day asking for another card because the payment did not go through. I said I did not want it. and I was not going to pay the fee. He told me that he had my address if I wanted to make it difficult. Thank god I am moving next month. What a horrible experience. Sure they are cheaper than most places...that is because they advertise the item then sell everything in the box seperate at jacked up prices...which will cost you more than the other stores....don't be lured
"
"I looked at their web site and saw the Canon xti body for $269. I ordered it on line. then I got an email that said they were out of stock. Next day I went to their site and they have the exact same product listed for $479. I called them. The slime ball who I spoke to said that he would give me the old price if I would buy a 2GB compact flash for $200 (!) and a bunch of ridiculously overpriced accessories. Very rude. Criminal exchange. They should be sent to prison. "
"classic bait nd switch. Ordred the lens said it was in stock. Then they called back and tried to sell me another lens. Said no and they said the the lens i wanted was not in stock."
"In a search for my first DSLR, I found the high-priced Nikon D200 at values well below other merchants. I was naive enough to believe the "seller ratings" posted on BestPrice's own website, and made the order. To my surprise, the listed online price of the kit I had ordered (with many extras) actually DROPPED 30% within 3 days....and in the online order process, there was no confirmation of the price I paid. It smelled fishy early on, especially with the lack of technical knowledge and general rudeness of the customer service reps. Everything they promote is at odds with what they actually deliver. When I located this rating site and read the horror stories of past customers, I cancelled my order (by voice mail, cancelled my new credit card, and went to a reputable dealer (Digital Foto Club)while happily paying $600 more for the same product. These guys are as unscrupulous as you will find anywhere in the online sales world. Apparently, they will resurface somewhere under a new name at a later date. "
"after ordering a $2400.+ sharp lcd tv, I get a phone call for a upsell package that cost $300.00,(remote control, tv stand, video cable.) After telling him I did not want the extra package and telling him that their website says that a tv stand and remote control are included with the tv, he says that it will take 6 to 8 weeks to get the tv."
