"DO NOT AND I REPEAT ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR LOW PRICES!!!!!!!!!!!!
All this company is, is just a bunch of liars. They show you this AMAZING price, but according to other people, they offer you so many other things, and it makes the price that much higher. Luckily, I didn't have to deal with that. After I ordered a Nikon D70s (body only) for $499.99 with no shipping, I decided to look at some reviews for this site. I should have to begin with, but I didn't. After I read all of the reviews, I just got sick and said, "I'm cancelling my credit card and this purchase." So today, I call this J and K cameras AKA bestpricecameras.com, and this guy named Andy answers. I tell him that I would like to cancel my order and he tries and tries to get around this. After not letting up on him, I tell him that it was ordered by an unauthorized user of my credit card. He then asks who it was?? So, I told him it was my son and he was oh so sorry and how bad that was. He said that the "internet" was down and he couldnt log into the "database" So then he tells me that he will call back in 45 minutes. Asks for my phone number and my name. When I give him my name, his name suddenly changed from "Andy" to "George Anderson" and his excuse was that I was transferred very quickly and he apologized. About 45 minutes later, I recieve a call from someone that is not Andy trying to confirm my order. I tell them, no I want to cancel I do not want this order to be processed. He then says ok and hung up.
I will thank everyone for letting me know this so it didn't get to far out of hand, but I am sorry you had to deal with these people. As for people looking into buying something from them. Please, for the love of God. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!! DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR SCAMS!!!! "
"I had the worst customer service experience of my life with this company. I ordered the camera on-line from Best Price Cameras and a couple of days later I got a call rom "Charles" saying that he needed to confirm my order. Turned out what he needed to do was to sell me some more stuff. Very fast talker and good line. I purchased a 5 year warranty and a set of 3 glass filters.
When the camera package came, I noted that there was one price only for everything and that it was marked as a package deal.
I couldn't figure out how to attach the filters so I called customer service. After a few attempts to get in contact with them I finally connected. They were attempting to tell me how to disengage the ring over the main lense so I could attach the filters. I was talking to a sales person on the first call but wasn't understanding the instructions so they told me to call back and talk to customer service. After a couple of more tries and another day, I connected. In the meantime I had decided the filters would just complicate my life so I would ask for instructions to send them back.
Called again to customer service - more attempts to explain how to attach the filters. I wasn't getting it - told the rep I wanted to return the filters. I was transferred to "someone who could help me." Help me, my foot! I was kicked around and abused. This fast-talking young man told me I couldn't return the filters separately because it was a package deal. I said it was not - that I had ordered camera, etc., and then was sold more stuff. It was certainly not a package deal and I wanted to verify the cost of the filters so I could return them. His comments follow, in caps.
IF I DIDN'T WANT THE ITEMS, I SHOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THEM.
I OBVIOUSLY DIDN'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT CAMERAS.
CHARLES HAD A SALES QUOTA. THEY SELL THE CAMERA BODY AT A VERY LOW PRICE SO HAVE TO SELL ADDITIONAL ITEMS TO KEEP UP THEIR PROFIT MARGIN.
I asked what would have happened if I hadn't bought anything more when Charles called? Would they have sold me the camera?
Response was, IF HE HADN'T SOLD ME ONE THING HE WOULD HAVE SOLD ME SOMETHING ELSE. HE HAD A SALES QUOTA.
Finally, in frustration, I said I wanted to return the entire camera.
He said, THEN I COULD GET RIPPED OFF BY SOME OTHER COMPANY.
I asked how should I return the camera?
He said I should PUT EVERYTHING BACK IN THE BOX BUT I COULDN'T GET CREDIT FOR ANYTHING I HAD OPENED. [everything]
In disbelief I asked, I couldn't return the camera and get credit for anything I had opened?
His reply: HADN'T I READ THEIR POLICIES?
Goodbye. Slam.
This company representative was rude and dismissive throughout this conversation. He could have talked me down and smoothed things out but instead I was extremely angry when I got off the phone.
8/6/06 - I just read other reviews on this website and want to add my comment regarding the possibility of this company stealing credit card information. I also had my credit card number used fraudulently. Someone ordered an IPod using my credit card number, within a week after my bad experience. I cannot prove that this company was responsible but my intuition tells me that it was. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!

"I was interested in buying new camera equipment and was enticed by the low prices. After learning the following I know to stay away from these and other similar resellers.
Regarding this or any camera/electronics store (online or not) with super low prices, ask if they are authorized by the manufacturer to sell the product: example - are you authorized by Nikon/Canon/Fuji (or what ever the company or product) - to sell their cameras/product?
In this instancethe BestPricecameras.com salesman answered NO. He had to answer this question truthfully or would be seriously liable. This means that if you bought an item from this or similar reseller and found the item was faulty and were to send the item to the company that made it for warranty repair or replacement, they would not honor the warrenty because it is not sold through an authorized dealer. The camera or other item will likely be sold as new with new box and warranty card - but still is unauthorized.

Ken Rockwell is a pro photographer and he seems to know the straight story. refer to this article and learn the facts.
Some people commenting on this type of forum seem to miss the point when they state that they did receive their item for a great price. They won't be happy to know about the above. Caveat emptor."
"This shop works as like this:
1.Place order from their web site. Easy and neat.
2.Call customer service to confirm your order.
3.Take expensive battery and/or charger?
Yes:the items will come (maybe I did not take them)
No:you must wait four to six weeks
Cancel: Accepted and very quick "good bye"
4. READ the last six lines of their "company policy". I think these six lines were applied to my order (to say at least).
Good luck
P.S.
I received cancellation confirmation email from this store. Fair enough."
"This is strictly for J & K Cameras through their EBay store.
I read many reviews about all of the bait and switch tactics that were being employed by some of these companies. I had picked out a couple of possible dealers when I found they were all listed on this site as pretty much being frauds. I went to EBay to see if there were any deals to be found on there when I came across a package deal with J&K Cameras. The deal was incredible...Rebel XT Digital SLR, 2 gig memory, 3 lenses, 2 cases and a list of smaller accessories. Their feedback rating was over 100% positive with over 4000 responces. So I placed the order. I immediately got an email asking me to call and confirm and got really scared. I went ahead and called and talked to a very nice sales person. He did try to sell me some other items, but I had already priced them and their price was right in line, so I went ahead and got those. In the end, I had the camera as described and 2 extra rechargable batteries and the base grip extender for about $1300. The big news was that in 4 days the package arrived. Everything was new and unopened and works exactly as it should. I couldn't be any happier with the whole experience even though I went in with much trepidation. So, I strongly recommend J&K Cameras through EBay."
"BEAWARE-THEY PROBABLY STOLE MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER!!
As many others have commented, I placed an order with this company and received an email to confirm my order of a camcorder. When I was talking to the rep he asked what battery I would like to purchase. I said the one that comes with it is fine. He said it will only last 15 minutes. I said that is fine. He then asked how I was going to charge it. He then informed me that I would need to buy the charger for this camera. I then asked why it is not in the box as packed by Panasonic. He said that it was a basic set with nothing but the camcorder. I told him I did not want the order then. He said I will cancel it and just hung up on me. I already contacted the credit card company to block any charges from this company. They are rude and don't tell you on their website that the item is all that you will get. No accessories are included. One week later, my credit card company called to verify purchases and they were all fraudulant. I then reported this company to them as the probable source of the stolen number for them to look into it."
"Buyer Beware!!! I ordered the Sony DCR-SR100 digital camcorder from their web site because it was priced cheapest amongst many online vendors. After I made the purchase, I was emailed a confirmation instructing me to "Confirm" the order. When I called into their number, I spoke with a Rep that asked for my credit card ID number (that 4 digit code on the front or back of most credit cards). After I gave that to him, he asked me what kind of charger I wanted to buy. I assumed that the charger was included and he said that it absolutely does not. He said it cost an extra $179 for the base charger, which I told him was strange since most camcorders come with a charger. He said that they can't provide these cheap prices without getting the parts for the products separately. Everything costs something and there was also no warranty for the product or owner's manual from Sony without buying the charger. I told him to cancel the order and he proceeded with some pushy comments about how I won't find a better deal and how I'm crazy to think any place else is going to be different. After I asked three times to cancel the order, he hung up on me rudely. I tried calling back several times, got put on hold for approximately 10 minutes the final time and got another customer service rep. This person was friendly, apologized for the rudeness of the previous rep, whom I complained about, and proceeded to cancel my order."
"Warning!!! Don't buy from this company. My story is pretty much the same as others. This is a huge scam and they have it down!!!! I have spent 4 hours already trying to resolve. "
"Very dishonest store. Use tricks to mislead customer. I paid almost $300 extra dollars to learn the lesson. Worst customer service and very rude. My conclusion: if a person was bitten by the same dog twice, it is the fault of the person, not the dog. Stay way from this store."
"Absolutely horrible experience. I was told that they are an AUTHORIZED NIKON DEALER by a salesman. Worst customer service experienced to date. Got hung up on when I asked questions they couldn't answer. "
"Do NOT do business with this guys!!! Extremely arrogant "Customer Service"! You will wait on the phone for hrs until someone decides to pick up and if they did - oh boy.... After I've ordered online an Nikon Camera for over $500 they've called and try to upgrade the order. When I've refused I was informed that my order will be shipped in about 3 -5 weeks because the camera wasn't in stock! But the more expensive one was! I've canceled, thanks God... The've never sent me an Order Cancelation e-mail. After 1 day of calling attempts I've finaly had some rude guy to answer, telling me - We don't send confirmation e-mails, and hung up on me! Now I've found that website were all of you complaint. Hope someone shut them down! I also closed my Credit Card and advise all of you to do the same if they have your CC#."
"Great when they're taking your order. Impossible to reach when you want to return anything, INCLUDING unopened products. Spent $1000 more on their camera in the end to avoid $1400 restocking fee on an order around $5800. Really awful experience. "
"BAD,BAD,BAD. These guys are bottom dwellers. Scum sucking thiefs. They tack on an extra $300.00 to the purchase of a Canon 30D. They said they had to in order to "upgrade fom plastic to metal lens mount". I call Canon, and they inform me the 30D comes in metal only. By the time I get back to these swines they have allready billed my account. What goes around comes around. I hope these scum sucking pigs rot in the "hot place"!"
"This company was awful! They asked me to call to verify my order and tried to get me to buy a battery with the digital camera I oreder. The battery came with the camera on other websites. When I refused to buy the battery for $99, they asked if I would like the camera shipped programmed in English or Malaysian! Of course, the cost of English would be an additional $69! i cancelled the order and found the same camera on DBuys for the price they promised and it arrived within two days. Don't shop with Best Price Cameras!"
"A "Bait and Switch" operation. I was talked out of the good deal I originally had, and was persuaded to purchase a package twice the cost and half the value. The package was supposed to arrive on May 15th. When it didn't arrive, my UPS number was never given to me. The salesperson told me it would be emailed to me. This is the same thing they've told me the last three times I've called. I don't think the product has even been shipped yet. That's why they won't give me a tracking number. I tried to cancel my order. They said it's in transit, and they can't cancel until I refuse delivery and they get it back. They still refuse to give me a UPS tracking number. This is a total scam. Even when they get the package back, a package they probably haven't even sent yet, I will be charged for shipping and 10%."
