"After I placed the order online, they would not process it unless I call them. When I did, they haggle me to buy accessories and warranty. When I refused, they said they are going to add $20 to the price of the camera and if I refuse the extra charge they would not sell me the Camera. It was a Minolta Diamage Xt."

"Ordered a SONY DCR-DVD200 digital camcorder from the company on 10/7/03. The company advertised a price which was about $150 less than other competitors. After order was placed...I received an email to call company to confirm order. The sales person "Walter" x767 1800 471-1784 asked if I needed to buy batteries for the camera. He kept pushing me to buy, saying the factory one only last 15-20 minutes (which is untrue...see company's website for battery life), so I kept refusing to buy and he kept adamantly asking why I dont need it. After few minutes, he relented and said OK and hung up (very rude customer service). I waited for a week and then called to check on shipping status...they say it's out of stock..on back-order (when I ordered it on the website it stated it was in-stock). So now they change their story. And when I went to www.resellerrating.com I learned about the deceptive sales tactic of this company. Since I did not buy extra accessories, it was probably not profitable for them to sell the item to me. Therefore my order has not been filled yet as of today. So here I am forwarding this complaint to protect you...and avoid this company.

"After reading the other reviews here, I was worried about my order. (Sony DCR-DVD300 Handy Cam). I called the company to get my tracking number and was told it would arrive by the date promised, but they did not have the tracking number as yet. I waited. (a little worried). The next day I went to the website tracking and found it had already been shipped. I was pleasantly surprised that my product actually arrived a full day earlier than promised, in perfect condition and with all accessories as promised. I had done extensive research on what this model was selling for and I saved at least $140-$190 on this sale. Probably more. I am very satisfied and would buy again from this company. "

"My experience is similar to everyone else's. I found digital liquidator's site through everyprice.com. The camera was very cheap. The online ordering process goes very smoothly. Then the next day I get an e-mail saying that I need to call their customer service department, for verification purposes, in order to proceed and process my order. I thought they just needed to confirm my identity or my address or something. So I called, and lo & behold, the guy asks me to purchase a battery. I said, "Well I don't think I'll need another one cause these lithium ion batteries have good stamina." The guy goes, "It doesn't come with a battery." Now, I KNOW the G5 comes with a battery and actually, just about every kind of digital camera comes with some kind of battery. I didn't ask him why it was so, I just told him, I'll have to think about it and before I finish my sentence he goes, "Do you want to cancel the order?" I said, "Yeah please do." Cause I felt something's awefully wrong about their business ethics. So bottom line: DON'T EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!"

"1) They didn't honor price on website ($550- charged visa $929)
2) They did ship promptly. and product was as advertised.
3) my Dr changed mind about product, tried for 2 weeks to talk with someone in customer service about returning item. When I finally did get to talk to a live person was told I couldn't return product because it was over 21 days. It wouldn't have been if my calls had been returned (10 phone calls)

"Im not going to waste my time Bad mouthing these Characters of deceive,but their sale tactives and moduses are totally un-ethical.Stay away from these creeps who should not be doing business in the internet in the first place.Too many complains,bad ratings .The hand writing is the wall.Thank Goodness My common sense and street smart told me to cancel the order on the spot after getting the initial B@#$ S^%* from Ext 774 salesman.First sign this company was a joke was their Customer service's Rude Phone manners."

"I originally ordered a camcorder online for $399. Instead of filling the order I received an email asking me to call them. When I spoke to the sales rep he told me that I needed several accessories which were lens filters, an extra battery, and an extended warranty which changed the total to $779. He also told me that his company had a "total satisfaction guarantee” and that I could return the items if I were unhappy with them.

When I received the order I realized that I did not need the $380 worth of accessories which didn't seem to work correctly with the camera. I contacted the customer service which told me that it was a “package deal” and that if I wanted to return the accessories I would also have to return the camera, and that I would have to pay a 5% restocking fee and that I would only be refunded $737. He also became rude accusing me of abusing the items and saying that I “did not want the items just because I had opened them”.

I am happy with the camera and do not wish to return it, I only wish to return the $380 worth of accessories that were not part of my original order.

"Wish I had this link prior to placing the order with these guys. I found them via a link from StreetPrices. They only had two threads for the vendors. Well now they have three.

Order the Sony DSC-V1 camera for $409. Everything online processes fine. I get an email the next day saying I need to call to confirm the order, and that's when the upsell pressure takes place. I asked to have my order cancelled and confirmation emailed to me. He agreed. 6 days later, and no confirmation or response from emails. I called my credit card company to ensure anything on my card from them is declined and reported as fraud.

The sales representative also to me, I needed to purchase an extended warranty or if camerea arrives DOA, it's not our problem.

"Ordered a Minolta Dimage A-1 by internet, camera only with no extras. Got a call from a pushy sales person offering extremely inflated add-ons. I refused all. Then I discovered this site and the horrible track record for Broadway Photo. Based on the information at this site I called and cancelled the order. The good news is that Broadway accepted the cancellation without a fight, probably because I did not buy the inflated add-ons. I should have been alerted when the email confirmation of the order listed an order number only, no final price, and no indication of a ship date. Be sure to read all the fine print related to shipping, final pricing, and returns. "

"They promised to ship immediately after I made the verification call, in which I was offered warraties, lenses, etc. After 7 days I called back because I didn's see any status change on my order. The sales person was rude. He told me that because I had not purchase the warranty, that they had to order the camara from Japan, and that they didn't know exactly where the ship(boat) was. I asked how much longer I had to wait. And he said, "I'm not even sure I know that..maybe 8 weeks..but not even sure of that" That maybe I couldn't afford that camera..that I should buy one cheaper with the $250 warraty and I could have that in 3 days. This was one of two calls I made to this company. After almost a month I called back and he gave me the same kind of treatment. I cancelled the order and reported the case to NY's Attorney General."

"Worst business I have ever dealt with!!!!!!!
I have since filed a complaint with the NY BBB (go to BBB.org to see all the complaints against them), and the state attorney generals office (www.oag.state.ny.us) Please do the same so no one else will have to go through this experience. Advertised price of 299.00--when the company called to "confirm the order" it turns out i would have to purchase a 200.00 5 year warranty or I wouldn't get my camera for 3-4 weeks even though I had paid 29.99 for 3 day shipping. The rep. was rude, and hung up on me when I said i wanted to cancel the order.
