"LIES! LIES! LIES! LIES! LIES! LIES!
Digital liquidators had the lowest price on the internet for an Olympus C-5050 so I made the order. I got the usual e-mail instructing me to call back to confirm my order and when I did I was pushed to buy their accessaries and their warranty. They told me that the camera didn't come with a warrenty and I need to buy theirs. I told the sales person that the camera comes with a 1 yr manufactureers warrenty and he again said that this camera came with no warrenty. It took a while to sink in that the camera I bought was not new although no where on their website or in my order does it say the camera is refurbished. I call back and specifically asked if this camera was refurbished and was told that it was and therefore no warrenty or other included components."
"On the 10th of august, I placed an order on www.bwayphoto.com for a Nikon lens ($579). The day after I placed the order, I received an Email asking me to contact them for some detailed on my order... It was strange, as I order only one lens!
The person I reached tried desperately to sell me filters and other things, and I had to talk louder to make him understand that I only wanted the lens. He told me that was ok and my order was processed as we were speaking.
After that, I wait until the 25th to call them back as I didn't received my lens. I talk to someone named Joe and he makes me wait for 15 minutes. After the lost time, he told me to call back the day after as he couldn't help me!!!
On the 26th I called back, and first, they just hanged up on me!!! I called back, gave again my order number and after another 15 minutes of ear-waiting (seemed to be a standard for them) someone named TOM asked me AGAIN for my order #... I gave him again and he told me that they didn’t have the lens at the time I placed the order!!! I told him that at least they could sent me an email advising me about that and I thought they were abusing of me and being gross, he start telling me that it was no true, and that now they could sent it to me... With a delivery in one week!!!!!! I told him that I didn't want that lens anymore (I will buy it locally in a store as I need it). And also told him that I was going to report them and I was taping this conversation (as they do) as they have strange commercial method and very very bad service, he just tell me “all offended” that I could do whatever I wanted...
So I am doing.
My advice: Don't buy anything from them.

"Thank goodness for this site!
I was looking for a Canon PowerShot S400 for cheap. I did a search using Google and saw these guys, along with other "vendors" from NY.
All I can say is if the price is too good to be true and they are from NY, STAY AWAY!!!
I ordered online. I got a confirmation phone call. The guys was VERY RUDE...He asked what my name was and I spelled it out for him, but he rudely asked me to pronounce it, then never bothered calling me by my name...I think there is something going on there...not to be too paranoid but that struck me as something very strange.
Anyways, he then proceeded to ask me why I didn't order the camera with the accessory kit. I said there is only 1 version of the Camera and it already contains the kit. He disagreed. I said "wait a minute, I know what's going on"...then about 2 seconds after that he asked me if I wanted to cancel it, I said yes, and he told me he already did.
Something stinks here doesn't it?
Disturbed by this experience, I went searching on the net and found this site. All the horror stories made me nervous so I called up my banking card company and cancelled my card, not my bank account, just the card. They are going to issue me a new card with new numbers...just to be on the safe side.
Hey, I'm from NY too...but I'm telling you if you see a Brooklyn (Crooklyn) address, or you cannot find an address on the site, or if the guy on the other end has an accent then DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!
You do a search and almost all the con sites are from NY.
NY is a great place for some things, but it's ghetto for others...save yourselfs, don't be liquidated by the Digital Liquidators!!!!"
"What a runaround. I finally had to cancel. Incredibly rude. When I wouldnt go with the bait and switch they just didn't send order. Call after 14 days and even ruder--just cancelled---AWFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLl"
"Shipping taking longer than 4 days
Rude customer service
Hold time to finally speak to someone longer than 20 mins per call
charging 5% fee for cancelled orders"
"Digital Liquidators has some serious problems somewhere between customer service and packing. I have spent over 40 days (July 7-Aug 21) trying to receive a completed order. Several phone calls, emails and RMA's and still no resolution of the problem(s). I received damaged goods (very poor packing - 19" photo paper in a 17" box), replacement was the wrong item. On and On... I would think twice before relying on Digital Liquidators as a business partner."
"What an experience!! I placed an order a little too soon, BEFORE doing my homework on company reliability and business practices, etc., and when I read this site, I was shocked at the reviews for DIgital Liquidators. I had been suckered into making all the accessory purchases, taking my total for a Canon GL2 from $1399 up to $2500. What a sucker I was to fall for all of their lies, that the battery was only 30 minutes, that Canon had no warranty for this camera (I called Canon before the call and told them that I was buying this cheaply priced camera for way below list, and that it was grey market, and the Canon support person told me that as long as I had a receipt from a US company that they would honor the one year warranty. I told this to the DIgital Liquidators sales person, and he said "I've been selling these for 10 years, and believe me, there is no warranty. You need to buy the $500 warranty plan to have a warranty." I said, "but the Canon people said they would honor a warranty." He said "there is no warranty." Who am I to believe? I was a sucker.
So anyway, to make a long story short, I called the next morning EARLY to cancel, and they said to call back in 6 hours. I called back in half an hour and tried to cancel. They said "it's canceled." and I thought that was it. So in an hour, my wife gets a call asking us to confirm the order. She tells me that I need to call back at this number, and I cancel the order again. I got the name. Then I check my card and find that it has been charged $2500, and so I call my bank, Providian, the VISA provider. I ask if this can be removed, so I can use the card. She says yes. And so we call together on a conference call.
After getting bounced around to 5 different people put on hold each time, we speak to an Andy Cooke. He put us on hold 5 or 6 times, to check out if he could do this, and he came back saying he could not reverse the charges, even though Providian said he could, but they would not. He was extremely rude and beligerent, and said "your not a customer! You canceled your order, and you're not a customer." The Providian rep asked to speak to a supervisor, and he would not transfer and said "I'm not going to give you our merchant ID, and I'm not going to reverse the charges now, is there anything else I can help you with?" to which we said "whoa!"
All the stories about this company were right on. They are BAD BAD news, and they are really a sham outfit, screwing customers and would be customers. There ought to be a law, and its too bad that their stuff shows up so attractively in search engines. Too bad the search engines can help out with bad companies, by placing them at the BOTTOM OF THE PILE where they belong.
I would not only never shop with this outfit, I think I would beware of ALL low priced shops, as this seems to be a recurring review for just about all of them.
I just spent $2500 with a very pleasant company to get the same camera, battery, and memory card, and with confidence. Shipping was free, not an additional $178 like Digital Liquidators tried to tag on. A memory card was $99 and not $200 like DL was trying to tag on. The same with the battery, another gouge to make up for their scam low price.
Not only do you pay the SAME high amount with Digital Liquidators as you would with a more "expensive" company, you don't get JACK service or customer care, and if you try to back out, they screw it to you by charging your card and refusing to reverse the charges in a timely manner, maybe not at all, we'll see."
"How do they stay in business? How can someone have such low morals? They wanted to force me into paying an extra $100.00 for a warranty that should have already come with the camera; they were very pushy on selling me accessories from 3 to 8 times retail price. Check out the prices of some of the items they sell, compare them to places like Wal-Mart. 4 rechargable batteries with Rapid Charger costs $79.99, at wal-mart it is $7.00.. In addition to this, they told me that the camera does not come with batteries, but according to Fuji and every other reseller on the net, it comes with 4 batteries. (and I bought this camera since then from another store, it came with batteries)
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
They are impolite, fraudulent, rude, and all they will do is rip you off.
I cancelled my order because I realized I was getting ripped off, but they were unclear as to whether they were really cancelling it so I called again; they asked me if I wanted to "re-cancel" my order. What does that mean? I have a feeling that means "charge you again"
I have yet to receive my credit card statement but I have a feeling they charged me nonetheless.
Beware!"
"I regret not checking this company out! In my opinion the salesman oversold and made false claims about the service contract and the quality of the accessories that I reluctantly agreed to
purchase, only later to discover that the fair
market price (foreign terminology) was way out of line. I will attempt to get this stuff returned,
but looking at the terminology listed at the
bottom of the VERY VAGUE sales invoice, it does
not look promising. Please be aware of their
marketing strategy of a low initial purchase price then browbeat you for over-priced extras."
"An utterly horrid company, from start to finish. I wish I'd come and checked here FIRST before I bothered with these fraudsters. Instead, I checked here after I ordered and got a sinking feeling--and every warning that everyone had was true. Not only did they send several absurd followup e-mails asking me to call their number to "confirm" and later "verify" the order, but they also gave the hard-sell song and dance to get accessories I didn't need. When they called to "inform" me that I'd need to spend hundreds extra to get the "US version" of the Sony Digital F1717 camera, I cancelled the order. Within days AFTER the cancellation, I'd discovered they'd gone ahead and charged my credit card--TWICE. Once for the camera order I'd cancelled and again for a higher amount for the "US version" (what nonsense) of the camera I never ordered. Fortunately, the credit card company protects me, but the whole experience has been dreadful. Stay far, far away from these people. If there's any justice, they should be put out of business and possibly investigated for consumer fraud. "
"This company is primarily bait the customer with a very low price (versus the rest of the comparison shop vendors). They will then ask you to phone them to confirm order, and that is when you realize they are selling the bare bones product everything else comes extra even the WARRANTY (not legal). Just Beware."
"Price turned out to be too good to be true. Before order was filled, had to call them to "verify order" which meant listening to pitches about buying accessories & warranties. When I turned all offers down was told order would ship in 3-4 weeks (although I had paid for UPS ground). I then cancelled order. What a dog!!! "
"I ordered from them and was called to confirm the order. I was told that I would receive an email containing tracking information. I never received this email and when I try to call the individual that called me to check the status he hangs up on me as soon as I give him my order number and name. If I try to call back he doesn't answer.
This is the worst company I've EVER ordered from. When I was contacted to confirm my order he tried to sell me a bunch of crap that I didn't want! I ordered a Digital Camera and he tried to sell me memory cards, batteries, warranties, you name it. All I wanted was the camera.
I will never purchase anything from this company again. And to make matters worse... My order must have been cancelled because I never heard another word.
~"
"I am not happy with this company. I purchased a canon 10d from this company and they did not include the instruction manual for the camera NOR did they include the warrenty card."
"I placed an order and gave them my credit card information and was then emailed requesting me to call about my order.
When I called, I found out they were backordered for two weeks and did not know when they could fill the order.
I waited two weeks and called back to inquire again and they told me it is still on back order and may be two to three more weeks, they were not sure. They advertised that it was "In Stock" when I placed the order and no one there really sounds like they know what they are doing or what to help. I have spoken with a guy named "Charlie" there and he was not helpful at all. Put me on hold for extended periods of time and also a guy named "Anthony" which eventually disconnected the call after I held for 20 minutes. I still don't have my camera and they don't know when it is going to come in.
I would not recommend them at all to anyone.
