"Buy.com absolutely sucks. Do NOT buy from them. I placed an order for an item that reflected as being In Stock. One day later, my card was processed and the site showed my order as "Sent to Warehouse" to fill. One week later, they updated my order to reflect the item was on back order. When I called them {***-***-****}, they just spit back to me a scripted response. I told them to cancel my order but then he said that it would take several days to get my money back. So now there is a 13 year old child that will not have a Christmas present on Christmas day. "
"The speakers I ordered arrived, but the retail box (not the shipping box) had a large dent, about 1/5 of the size of the box, into the speaker grill. I needed this for Christmas and emailed for an exchange. They take a long time to respond, and then have you call their customer service, which is located in Manila, Philippines.
They speak English well enough, but don't seem to understand concepts outside the normal give-you-RMA-number duties. I called several times, asking if my item will arrive for Christmas and they didn't know. I asked for another number to contact and they gave me a wrong number. All the while, they kept repeating to me my RMA number and how to print the shipping label, which I explained to them I already did.
Buy.com has good prices because of the Google Checkout $20 off promo, and if it ships in good condition, your experience will be great. However, if there are *any* issues at all, you'll have a tough time dealing with it and be very unhappy. Shop at own risk.
Another example, I ordered a Gameboy Micro on Dec. 5 for Christmas. It's now the 21st and it hasn't shipped. I was not notified of any out of stock issues and now have to find a replacement present. Very bad service."
"Pre-ordered an xbox live vision camera from this store via Google checkout. Google checkout is great, however it doesn't improve the service of Buy.com any. Funny how this store has a completely different number for "customer service" than it does for sales & that the customer service line is almost always BUSY. Classic set up of a company more interested in *Getting Orders Placed* than servicing exsisting customers or orders already placed. I'm giving this company a complete ZERO for customer service for this dumb a$$ set up. Also, if you order I wouldn't bother trying the sales phone line either as I've been on hold nearly 30 minutes on it, after someone answers which I'm certain they're going to tell me I have to call the customer service phone number. This is the last time I do business with this crap a$$ company."
"I submitted my order on the 7th and didn't see anything for twelve days. E-mailed customer support who replied with a lot of hooplah about how customer focused they are and that the order was just shipped but with no explanation as to why there was a delay. Clearly it wasn't in stock (recurring theme here). I won't see the merchandise until after Christmas. IF delivery time is important to you, do not do business with this vendor."
"I purchased my order on Dec 4, and was charged right away! Then two weeks later I emailed them askinga about my status only to find out that my item is not available. This is ridiculous, I understand that backorders happen, but at least email the buyer giving a notice that it's backordered, but nop I get no notice whatsoever. I just tried calling the 877 number had to wait on the phone for 20 mins for someone to finally pick up my phone call. Due try to stay online if you want to know your status or cancel your order, they eventually will pick up ur call.

The order was placed on 12-9.A confirmation email was sent immediately afterward confirming my order. My credit card was charged on 12-11. After several email with no response Buy.com said the item was not in stock. This was to be a Christmas present for my children.
Buy.com would have never told me that it was not it stock or never sent me an email telling me this. I believe it is fraud to charge my credit card if an item is not in stock. I will be contacting our state attorney generals office to file a complaint against all parties as well as my credit card company and both corporate offices!
What a terrible experience. Google would be smart to distance themselves from Buy.com

"I made 3 different orders from Buy.com in the last 3 months, and I couldn't get any of my orders shiped on time (or shipped at all!). With the first one, after I waited for about 2 weeks, I called them and they told me that I have to cancel it because the manifacturer doesn't have the product anymore. With the second order, I had to cancel it few weeks after I ordered it because the status showed always "On Order" and their customer service couldn't tell me when I can get it. The third one, that is last week, although it said in their web site at the time I ordered the product, that it is on stock and should ship in 1-2 business days, it never did. For all these 3 experiences, I used Google checkout, and they were holding my money until few days after I cancelled the order. Will never buy from them again."

"This is the most pitiful excuse for Customer Service i have ever dealt with! No one speaks english very well, not does anyone CARE that THEY made a mistake! I purchased several things and they all arrived in good time, but one thing was the wrong size so i returned it to them the same day...knowing that it needed to be back to me by christmas....WELL, here we are 20 days a later and i still dont have a replacement item AND they still have my Money...and they lied to me several times on the phone about the date my replacement item would ship and then all of a sudden they say it isnt in stock!!! Even though it was THEIR FAULT that my order was wrong they wouldnt expedite my shipping to get it back to me by christmas AND now they say it will probably be another 20 days before i get my refund on my credit card!!!! "I would NOT recommend buying anything from BUY.COM! I ordered a light blue gameboy for my DAUGHTER. I recieved it it was graphite. The week before christmas and they were unable to do ANYTHING to help me get this fixed before christmas!!!!! "Buy from someone else unless you like to be stressed out. This place sucks their customer support is a joke good luck finding anyone you can understand or that understands you. I have 2 orders of the same product ordered the same day 1 showed up with a empty box in the package the other didnt show up at all. 5 phone calls and 5 differant stories later (first a replacement would be shipped, then a replacement has been shipped and finally a claim has been filed and would take up tp 5 days to be review) I reodered the items from amazon in order to get them by Xmas"
"If your order was lost like mine (2 of them!!--sent UPS the tracking numbers, but never gave them the products and I'm out $500 while I wait), don't waste time with 877 customer service number. It is a customer call center with limited capabilities and cannot actually help you--they only submit claims, but do nothing else. Call Buy.com corporate at ***-***-**** and tell them you have a problem with your order and you DON'T want to talk to the 877 customer service number. They will take your order number, then put you in touch with someone who can actually tell you about your order, your claim status, and make changes to resend your order. And tell them to improve their customer service!!!!"
"Buy.com indicated that they had the Ninteno DS in stock. For several days, they indicated that my order had been sent to the warehouse to be filled and mailed. After almost a week, it changed to indicate that they were out of stock and they had no idea when it would be available. This is unacceptable at X-mas time. Get a better inventory system!"
