"I've waited 2.5 months for my order to ship. I've contacted customer service twice now which by the way I had to Google for the phone number, the phone number is: 1-***-***-****. I've even used their web page email form with yet to hear back from them on the status of my order. My biggest issue with them is that the product I ordered is displaying as "In Stock: Usually Ships in 3 to 5 business days". This is clearly false advertising, since I've been told by customer service that their systems show it isn't in stock. I've also been told that they would notify the people in charge of making changes to the website to update the availability. Still hasn't happened. I ended up filing a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General for false advertising. "
"This store sucks. Tried to legally buy and download about 15 songs. My Paypal -- linked directly to my checking account -- transfered the money many days ago. They have it. Still cannot download songs; says 'processing'. Emailed, called. Nothing. "We need 1-to-2 business days, sir". That was five days ago. What a bunch of f*cking idiots. My Item didn't ship for nearly 2 weeks! It only shipped then because I kept writing them.
I never received a single update from Buy.Com indicating a potential problem with my order, or any kind update on it's status.
They responded to my e-mails after several days and only with form letters that didn't contain any novel information about my order or it's status.
Bottom Line: A Truly Terrible Shopping Experience."
"The seller must be renamed buy_not_ship.com! ordered an item 9 days ago, for the last six days it is showing status "sent to warehouse". The clueless CSR does not know when it would ship. "I contacted greatfun.com regarding the charges many times(who got my credit card information from buy.com). They finally agreed to discontinue my membership(which I have never signed up with in the first place). And today, 5 days later. I still have not received my refund. I also contacted buy.com regarding they policy. Their "Customer "whatever" Care Team" reply stating "... we reserve the right to use or disclose your personally identifiable information for business reasons in whatever manner desired."
Then I asked them if that including disclosing my credit card information so others can charge my credit card. And I ask them, if that is the case. Then please close my account with buy.com. They reply back .."At your request, we have forwarded the request to delete your Buy.com ‘My Account’ information....." BY DOING SO, BUY.COM IS ADMITTING THEY ARE PASSING YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION TO OTHER COMPANIES. SO BEWARE OF BUY.COM. They are trying to STEAL your money one way or the other. ** If you have great luck buying from buy.com. It just haven't hit you YET, because they have your credit card information. Buy.com doesn't have option for not saving credit card information. Once you give it to them, they will keep it there. If you can, CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT WITH BUY.COM TODAY. Before they strike you next. All of these I had been very happy with. They ship quickly (free budget 2 week shipping takes 2 to 5 buisness days at most!).
The products were all great.
Never had to deal with RMAs or such, so can't comment on that."

I ordered a Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS Platinum Pro sound card on 8/1/05 when there was a rebate of $75 available. Was "In stock" at that time. Went out of stock in next day or two. Now on 8/9/05 is "In stock" again but they are not fulfilling my backorder. When I called customer service ***-***-**** in India) they told me I would need to cancel the old order and order again. Well, obviously I was not going to do that because the rebate would not be in effect then (was only good on orders through 8/2/05). It's really sad this company will get an item in stock again but not fulfill the backorders first just to get out of paying a rebate.

Then noticed that they changed the price of the item on their site! Guess they didn't want to sell it to me at the other price. "buy.com's pricing, order speed and accuracy have always been quite good. However, they recently sent me an email with an electronic coupon. The website was buggy and the coupon didn't work properly. When I emailed customer service, they claimed this was because the coupon expired--it had not, and they clearly had no method of or interest in determining the expiration date. A followup method message went unanswered. Very disappointed with this clueless customer service.
More recent occasion: Placed an order for an item that was supposedly in stock and ships within a day. Order went to "Sent to Warehouse" status and stayed there for 4 business days. Sent an email requesting status, and received response that essentially said they were out of stock and didn't know when more items would be available. Yet, the product page still showed availability. I canceled the order; confirmation of the cancellation took about 3 days."
"Bought a $370 video card, cut-out the UPC code for a rebate, the card turned out to be defective. I was unaware they wouldn't exchange the card if you remove the upc code from the box.
