"Item is still not received nearly 4 weeks after it has been ordered. Clicked on the tracking number and it said there is no record of this shipment. E-mailed buy.com but received no response. Called buy.com and got transferred to India. I was told that the item has been sent out, however, I kept telling them that the tracking show there is no record of this shipment. How could there be a shipment if the tracking does not show it. They did not care and gave me an option to refund or replacement. This item has rebate on it and by the time, I got a replacement, it is out of the rebate period. "

"I placed an order with them, never receved an e-mail and could not log onto the website to confirm the order. I assumed that the order was invalid and placed an order with another vendor. When the item arrived I looked at the website to see how I can return it. There is no # to call and I cannot log into the website to get a # or e-mail address to respond to! I cannot beleve how bad the coustomer service is. I will never order anything from them again!"

"I have had nothing but good luck with this merchant. Usually the lowest prices anywhere, cheap or free shipping, and fast. I have had orders delivered two business days after ordering despite selecting standard ground shipping. The last item I purchased - a bluetooth headset -- did not work well with my phone. I went to Buy.com's site and found a link to indicate a product return. A return label - with shipping prepaid and my address and return authorization number preprinted - was automatically generated for me to print. No questions asked. Highly recommended."

"Stay away from this merchant. They took my money,canceled my order, then sent an enless loop of automated e-mails. They refuse to ship the goods and refuse to return my money. Eventually, with the assistance of PayPal's customer complaint service, my money was returned. I never did receive any communication from Buy.com other than automated emails saying they would respond to me as soon as possible, which went on for two weeks before I gave up and contacted PayPal. These guys are crooks and I hope you will watch for the launch of www.donotbuyatbuy.com. I can't believe they are still in business."

"I just received my order of a car trunk mount bike rack, no problems. 6 months ago I got my wireless printer kit, also no problems. A month before that, some speakers, and before that - a converter for transferring vhs tapes into digital format. All were the best prices I could find, and I had no problems with delivery time or receiving faulty products. I am mystified by the terrible reviews on this site because usually this site agrees with my experience on other good or bad merchants. At first I was wary of buy.com but I took my chances anyway since the price was so good. Now I actually seek them out to see if they carry the item I'm looking for because I trust they have good service and low prices. I really think they are a fine company or I'm just really lucky."

"Worst experience from an online store ever. Read the bad reviews, but figured "hey, these guys are huge, they can't be that lousy."

Bought numerous books because they had a promotion where you buy 4 and get the 5th free by just adding it to your cart. Bought 4, added the 5th. Get my confirmation a few weeks later - one of my 4 ended up being out of stock, so got charged for the 5th that was supposed to be free.

Was stupid, went back and ordered 5 more. All arrived, but was charged for all. Apparently offer is a MIR that they don't tell you about. Spent 40 minutes filling out rebate forms to get 8 bucks back.

Was stupid, decided to buy from them again. Placed order. Two MONTHS later - "we are out of this item". FOUR months later - "your item has shipped". FIVE months later - item arrives, is wrong item. Am too lazy and too poor and too angry and too busy to spend the next 5 days on the phone getting an MRA and packing everything up again.

So it took 3 times, but I finally learned my lesson. I am begging you, for your own sake, buy from ANYWHERE else.

"22 Days since they received product, they have stopped responding to emails. if anyone has their number could you send it to me? home(removeme)@satx.rr.com

Purchased a 512 MB memory key with a rebate and received a 256 MB Memory key with no rebate. Attempted a return and all they offer is a credit back to my account. No refund to charged card. This is the fourth order I've placed with them and the third order that was shipped wrong or too late for rebate. Never doing business with them again. Stupid of me to try.

"This site is a scam shop. I purchased my 30GB IPOD because they had a deal of $20 off over $200 purchase and free shipping. After placing the order they gave my credit card information to a 3rd party called greatfund.com. "Recently bought a video card (at an already lowest price) from them that consisted of two rebates. When getting the video card, the UPC code required for one of the rabates was actually a sticker on the video card. I used buy.com customer service contact through the website to inform them that I would be unable to submit for the rebate since i didn't want to damage the card or void my warrenty. I got a responce from them within a few days that they would refund my credit card for the rebate amount! No jumping through hoops trying to find an alternate method to submit, just a flat out refund! Thanks Buy.com!

I might also mention that I got the card within just a few days using the supersaver shipping. It is also known on the internet that the reason Buy.com got some of the bad rep is from canceling orders where people tried to exploit price mistakes. Get real people! This is a good site from my experience although i will admit i have no experience trying to return items, but am impressed with customer service so far from the responsiveness to this rebate issue.

"I just ordered a black motorola razr from them and requested they port my old cell number (from another carrier). By the way, my cell phone is my only phone. Their policy says they port the number within 24 hours after I receive the new phone. I ordered the phone 7/12. By 9 PM eastern on the 12th the number was ported. I now have no phone. I've called customer service (which is overseas) and they don't care that I won't have a phone for 5 days (or more) and haven't done anything to make things right."

"Ordered monitor w/$90 rebate, chose budget shipping. package arrives 1 week early, partner receives and throws out package. Since this was a buy.com rebate and not a manufacturers rebate I thought there would be no problem with some alternative to the UPC code, however one month later my calls and emails are being "escalated" -- one can only wonder how buy.com might resolve (NOT) a real problem.
