"Buy.com advertised a great price on this item plus a mail in rebate. I ordered and my order was listed as "sent to warehouse" for three days and then cancelled without even notifying me of the cancellation.
They have screwed up almost every other purchase I made from them. This was the last straw. May their servers be ifected by the viruses of 1,000,000 evil gnomes."

Then, a couple of days later, I got an "apology e-mail" from Buy.com. It included an apology eCoupon for $5 off my next order. However, here's the kicker! The coupon was only valid on that one specific product, which had been greatly raised in price!
Congrats Buy.com. You've just turned away someone who orders all of their electronics online, which totals roughly $3,000 a year. I'll be voting against your company from now on by taking my money elsewhere, and I suggest other customers do the same. Oh...I'm not bitter. :rolleyes"
"I ordered a jump drive from buy.com. Then after two days they went ahead and cancelled it, totally without a warning or an email. They just cancelled it without letting me know.
Edit- They sent me a very limited coupon for five bucks off any kingston merchandise to make up for canceling the order."

"I understand price mistakes, I understand that they happen and that often the company is unable to honor them or simply unable to keep up with the supply and demand during one. However, what I do not understand is the idea of canceling an order and not issuing an email to the customer notifying them of such. A simple explanation and apology can really go a long way with a customer.. to not offer such, or even brief notice of said actions, is completely unacceptable.
