No response to request for phone call from Customer Service on 3 separate attempts (they don't publish a phone number, they promised to call back never did). Shoddy customer service to say the least - my paperboy has better service when there is a problem!"

"Very bad experience with buy.com. The product is not actually from buy.com and is from some unknown, unheard companies. When I received it, there are parts missing. Call and e-mail buy.com and they just kept refering me to the companies that sell it (even give me the wrong company.) The company did not reply my e-mails and I fed up and don't have time to follow up after something like more than 10 communications with buy.com and companies. Not recommend buy.com for others."
"I TRIED to buy something from them but I got an email saying there was a problem with the billing address. I updated my order to fix the problem and received an email the next day assuring me that my item was on the way. 5 days later I get another email stating that my item was "canceled per my request". I went to the website to check it out and noticed that the product was now listed at twice the price. I tried emailing them several times to get it resolved but they kept brushing me off and avoided any attempt to give me a reasonable explanation for what happened. Bait and switch scam. Stay clear."
"Oh where do I start. I placed an order because of the Microsoft cashback. I was supposed to get almost $300 back for the watch. I paid extra for handling so the item was processed quickly. I wanted the item to be shipped to South Dakota because my husband was traveling and it would save me some money on taxes.
I cancelled the order Thursday because the item was not even closed to being shipped. I contacted their third party vendor and they didn't even have the order information. I called buy.com back and cancelled the order. They said they will inform their third party vendor of the cancellation.
Received an email today from the third party vendor that the item was getting ready to be shipped out. I called third party vendor and they said it's too late (boo to them too since I know that they can still retrieve the package). Anyway, buy.com is super slow!!! In this day and age, how long does it take to send an order to a third party vendor? They processed my credit card the same day I purchased the item. Yet, it's taking them almost 4 days to tell their vendor that the item was cancelled?
Now, I put a block on any charges through my American Express because Buy.com is telling me that I need to refuse the package. The problem is, there is no one there to accept the package. I don't want to be responsible for the item. "
"Ordered a refurb'd computer, and a new video card on a Saturday. The video card shipped Monday, I got it Wednesday. On Tue, the PC had been "in shipping status" for over a day. I called and requested a cancellation. The status soon changed to cancellation requested and within a day, changed to cancelled. When I phoned, they said they were trying to locate a supplier for the PC. That meant they sold me one without having them in-stock, but it showed in-stock when I ordered. I would prefer it if they were more accurate about connecting my order to in-stock items, but I suspect they aren't the only ones to do this. I'm ok with how it went, but had the cancellation been a hassle, they'd have lost a future customer. I only say that because the rep stated multiple times that my cancellation would have to be "accepted" (which it eventually was)."
"So far, I have been pleased with buy.com. Take advantage of their sales with free shipping and you can’t beat the prices. Even with their standard shipping I typically receive my order in about a week. They ship what they say and when they say… What more can you ask for?"
"This is a similar review of Buy.com as the one listed below for the Logitech Alto Laptop Stand. I too, ordered this product at $19.99 as Buy.com had it listed as "In Stock." Eight days later, I get an email cancelling the order with a cryptic explanation. I take my chances by going back to their web-site and "lo and behold" there's the same product "In Stock" for $29.99. After discussions with customer support and sales, there is no joy in this transaction - Buy.com did not do the right thing by this customer and offer the item to me for $19.99. Unlike the chap below, they did not offer me the $5.00 gift card. I'm not sure if the customer support or sales staff understood my complaint, so in the spirit of the season, I guess ... everytime a bell rings ... buy.com loses another customer. Ding, ding!
UPDATE: Buy.com has re-visited this transaction and went the "extra distance" to make things right. I would change the rating to maximum if allowed during this edit. In the end, I was able to re-place and order for the laptop stand and received the shipment yesterday. Thanks to buy.com. You really do try to put the customer first. "
"I ordered a laptop from these people. The description said that it had internal Wifi. It didn't. My husband and I contacted them over and over, for the next 2 weeks, and were told the same thing, that our concern was being escalated to a person higher up, we would hear from them within 2 business days. 4 business days later, nothing. We have them call us again, and finally they say they will give us a gift certificate for $30. They send it to us, post it on my account, I put an order in, go to redeem my gift certificates and they aren't in their system. I try to pull up where I can get them to phone me, and they took away the link. I email them and don't hear nothing as to whether they received my email. When you call, you talk to people in the phillipines. Nobody knows what the other person told you. There is no record of it. I will never buy from Buy.com again. I have spent 2 weeks on and off the phone, and I still haven't been able to use my laptop, because of their messing around. I would never recommmend this company to anyone. They say they want their customers to be satisfied, but they lie.
Buy.com just contacted me and issued me a $20 credit to my credit card, for all the hassle that I had to go through. That's something, I guess. But, with their customer service all messed up, the way it is, I still will not buy from them again. When a person calls about a problem, then calls 3 days later, and there is no record of the problem, there is a very serious miscommunication problem here. It took the president and CEO of the company, to make things right, with my problems. What's wrong with that picture? "

11 days after the order another email arrives - "We recently became aware that item Logitech Alto Cordless Notebook Stand on your order contained information that was in error. Because of this, the product has been automatically cancelled from your order."
information that was in error? You mean as in it was never in stock? And they kindly offered a $5 gift card - no thanks. Judging from the reviews here it looks like buy.com really screwed up this year. Do yourself a favor, pay a little bit more and stay away from this merchant."
"SCAM ALERT - No 1-year microsoft warranty as stated by Buy.com for a refurbished xbox 360. The heading of the web-site's listing for this item "Microsoft-Certified RefurbisheD Xbox 360. Full 1-year microsoft warranty!". Bogus. Purchased my bogus refurbished x-box from Buy.com on 11/28/09. I registered the Xbox on Xbox.com after Christmas The serial number I entered came up with a warranty expiration of 3/7/10 - I called X-box. Buy.com is not authorized to sell refurbished x-box 360's! FYI - I tried to post this on their reviews, but they refuse to post it -SCAM!"
"I ordered an HP Procurve switch from these guys (actually through Amazon marketplace). Order shipped the next day and was delivered just a few days later. And I got free shipping. So I'm pleased. I read here that many people have had problems with these guys, maybe the secret is ordering through Amazon."
