"DO NOT USE BUY.COM!!!! I placed an order that I realized right afterwards (1 to 2 minutes) that it was the wrong model. Went to cancel my order (and would have ordered the correct model) within the 15 min. time frame they give and for the next day the only option I saw in my order was "processing" so I was never able to cancel the order. I called first thing the next morning after searching the Web to find a customer service # as they make it nearly impossible to find to be told rudely that I cannot cancel my order as I did not do it online within the 15 minutes. How can you cancel an order when they do not give you an option to do so? I was then told I could return the item and within 1 to 2 weeks get a refund. I asked if I would get the full amount and that I would not have to pay shipping. Was told I would get full amount and not have to pay shipping, that it would be covered... A LOAD OF BS!!! Not only do you have to pay the shipping cost to return an item but they also charge the shipping amount of the item. So out $12 and 2 weeks time... glad it was not a larger item. SO BUYERS BEWARE"

They had nothing further to do with the sale. I had to obtain a RMA from this company (that I'd never heard of), package the item, and take it to UPS to return it. "I ordered 8 different items at once from this merchant on a Saturday, and I made two fatal mistakes; first, I did not log into my account, and second, I ordered by using PayPal, instead of my usual credit card. On Monday, I looked into my order, and it was still sitting there in spite of the fact that I already paid for it by PayPal. Therefore, I called them in panic, afraid of things that may follow, and a rep took care of the situation swiftly, and assured me that my order would be fulfilled. Although being skeptic of his promise and assurance, I had no choice but to wait and see. In a few days, all of my items arrived on time with disbelief. Then, I decided to order 1 WD Caviar Black, 6 WD Green and a USB 3.0 HDD dock for my plans to create a home server, and to my surprise, everything arrived in perfect condition and in a timely manner. The only criticism I can put forward was the pathetic HDD packaging of the WD Black (shipped directly from Buy.com), and the outstanding packaging of the 6 WD Green and the HDD dock (from one of their collaborating merchants). Although the WD Black survived the shipping, I must say that in order to prevent future conflicts with their customers, Buy.com has to pay more attention to delicate parts shipping. All in all, I ordered 16 different items in a short period, and all of them came with (almost) appropriate packaging, and on time. I can recommend this merchant without hesitation, and will do business in the future with them. "

The ordered got processed twice because they have stupid spam popping out trying to get you. I immediately emailed them about the mistake in their system. They did send me two ordered but told to refuse the 2nd order. They credited my money back, plus gave me a credit for my troubles. Wasn't expecting that. Thanks"
"Product description was wrong. Product did not work on a MAC computer. Trying to get a live person to talk to or a phone number is next to impossible.
Trying to get an RMA to return the product is like finding your way through a complex maze.
These people know exactly what they are doing and they are BAD by design.
The low prices do not compensate for the agrivation and time.

"On the plus side, I got a really good deal on an MP3 player from them. On the other hand, their shipping has *really* gone downhill.
They took two business days (maybe three) to get my product out the door, which is ridiculous for a large Internet retailer. Then it went out via Fedex SmartPost, which has to be the slowest, most illogical shipping service ever.
So I got what I ordered in good condition, but it took 11 days to arrive, which is much worse than I've come to expect from budget shipping from major online retailers.
UPDATE: Buy.com contacted me after this review, and apologized for the shipping delay, and offered me a $10 gift certificate. So their customer service seems to be quite attentive and responsive to this issue, which I'm glad to see."

"I was very much sceptical with buy.com , but as I wanted to give digital frame gift to my wife I wanted take the XDM digital photo frame 8 ". Finally I could see that buy.com offers it at very low rate. So I decided to give a shot.
The order is delivered within 48 hours I was amazed with the speed of delivery but some thing else was wating for me in side the carton. The manufacturer seal was broken. The product is really very stylish I was badly in need of this to gift to my pregnent wife. So after seeing this I immediately called buy.com and asked for RMA. I got one printed and its going back now. However on carefully observing the product there is primary flaw in it the leaver was fitted downside, no fool in the world will fix to leaver below for a photo frame. It should always be upside so that the frame can stand. At one point I thought I will keep it what if its open box. But with this fundamental flaw the product is not usable . I am not thinking that it may be the mistake of Buy.com. However they at least should take care of such things. It will be very painful to go thro this if there is some special occassion and you order some thing and you get a defective item. I need to leave US in less than 8 days hence feeling disheartned to leave without this product.
Further their refund process will take at least 15 days i.e ground shipping to go them and then 5-7 days to send to manufacturer and then to 1-2 days to process refund it is ridiculous they should first give refund to customer at least once they verify product is open box and defective.
If you ask me if I buy again , I will not buy any thing big that can go wrong. I may only buy small products like sd card, flash drive ..etc that are not going to damage or defective. But there may not be any garntees though.
I now got an email from them about refunding my money but not yet arrived in my card. So they are listening but still cannot recommend this store to some one, I lost a chance of gifting some thing to my wife on a wonderful occassion, so I will still say if u hv some special occassion then it is not ur best bet, with them its one's luck, if u get good product u r fine. Otherwise u need to deal with refund process but their customer service is ok.

"Items ended up being back ordered. Customer service was very unhelpful and kept telling me to call them back. They said my order is in the "processing stage" which is supposed to take 1-2 days and that no changes could be made while it's processing. "Ordered a headphone which is a "marketplace item". Got an email confirmation that stated: "Sellers have 2 business days to confirm their orders. Your credit card will not be charged until the order has been confirmed. You should receive an order confirmation email within two business days." Well, I never heard from the third-party seller and never saw the product. However, my credit card was charged by Buy.com. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!
Update: My emails to Buy.com were never replied. I finally got to a customer representative on the phone (1-***-***-****). I was told to contact the marketplace seller and ask them to refund Buy.com before Buy.com could refund me. This doesn't make any sense because my credit card bill shows the charge was made by Buy.com. Nevertheless I followed the direction. When I called the marketplace seller, a man answered the phone right away. But as soon as I stated my purpose, the guy made an excuse and hung up. I called Buy.com again (I had to first call sales department and ask them to transfer me to customer service, otherwise the wait was endless). I was told that Buy.com specialists would look into the matter and it would take 1-2 business days. So I wait for now.
Buy.com emailed me and said they contacted the marketplace seller. They asked me to wait for two business days for the seller to contact me. It hasn't happened. I am waiting to see what Buy.com will do. I am holding Buy.com responsible because the transaction was completed on Buy.com website.
Finally - over 10 days since my first request, Buy.com gave me a refund. When the marketplace seller did not respond to my inquiries, Buy.com "escalated" my case and took over. I am pleased that Buy.com was able to resolve the issue and I appreciate the work of those who were involved.
In closing, I have regained some confidence, although with reservation, about Buy.com. If I would order from Buy.com again in the future, one thing I will definitely do is to check the ratings and credibility of Buy.com marketplace seller BEFORE ordering. If you still decide to order from Buy.com after reading this review, please keep in mind that as soon as you place the order, your credit card will be charged! If the order does not go as planned, to get your money back would take up a lot of your time and energy and the result would still be uncertain. Unless you do not mind that kind of uncertainty and phone calls and emails, think twice before you order!"
"This is the last time I order from this ridiculous people. I ordered a digital picture frame from them on 5/18, it said order in stock will ship in 2 - 3 days. Charged my card right away and and me a purchase confirmation. Three days passed, I check the status and it still says "Processing". I wrote them an e-mail to check the status of the order. A day later I get a semi-automatic response saying that they are sorry blah-blah-blah, will contact the warehouse and let me know ASAP. Six days later, no response, I cannot find their phone number since they do not list it on their website. I called search around the "unhappy" consumer forums and found it. Called them, after about 5 minutes of checking, they tell me it's out of stock! I asked the lady, why wasn't I notified when the order was placed? Her answer, "when it says shipping in 2 - 3 days it means it's not in stock". I just told her give me a refund and screw your company. There is nothing wrong with being out of stock, but you have to notify people of that case right away, or at least within 24 hours of purchase so I person can go and buy it somewhere else. Horrible service. Buy.com should learn from Amazon.com how to run their business."
