"I ordered a baseball jersey from buy.com. The price was good and it was delivered quickly. No complaints there. HOWEVER, the jeresey was too small. All I wanted to do was exchange it for the bigger size. In order to do that, I have to pay to ship the item back to buy.com and then reorder it. Who does that? I could understand if I was returning the item for a refund, but I just want to exchange it for the same item in a different size. Now I have to pay to send it back and then pay shipping again to have a new one sent. It's going to wind up costing me $25 in shipping to get this jersey. It's ridiculous. "

"I guess I am not an experienced Internet shopper as I did not know that Buy.com was a reseller or that they gave my order to another company. I ordered a Garmin GPS and at the same time ordered the friction base for that GPS. The friction base shipped right away from Buy.com and was here in two days. I never heard anything regarding the GPS and found that it was being shipped from VibeCellular.com (don't ever buy from those liars). I contacted Vibecellular asking about the GPS and received a return email telling me I would have the GPS by Tuesday. That Monday, the day before I was to receive the GPS in the mail, I received an email from Buy.com telling me the order was canceled. No explanation as the item was in stock and was supposedly already shipped...LIARS! I contacted buy.com to return the friction base as I have no need for an accessory for a GPS that I don't have. Buy.com has not returned my emails or gotten back to me regarding the return. I am very disappointed to say the least and would never buy from them again and certainly not from VibeCellular either!"

"Overall, I'm more than satisfied with BUY.com. I purchased 2 Magellan Model 3200, but when I tried to register them with Magellan to get the map upgrade (free within 30 days of purchase) the serial numbers were rejected.
Turns out these units are Model 3200C (not disclosed at time of order), the C meaning China. Magellan says they are reprogrammed with USA maps then resold--possibly illegal according the Magellan representative.
I contacted BUY.com customer support to see if they will replace them with comparable true USA units."

No one contacted me to confirm that my order had shipped. IT NOT ONLY TOOK OVER 3 Weeks for me to receive my item, but BUY.com automatically has you get signed up with Shoppers Discount.com which in turn charges you $12 a month for NOTHING!!!!! Well this is how Buy.com gets you...If you Click get FREE $10 on your next order. They automatically sign you up and yes its in the Fine print, but they sure make it seem like the $10 is really FREE for your next Purpose. They charged me $48 before I caught them, Called and Complained.
Lastly, I thought EBAY was BAD, not even close the the crap they PULL on BUY.com, 5 days processing plus up to 2 week delivery good luck getting your item on time!!!!"
"I purchased a Nikon 70-200mm lens on April 4 through Google checkout. On April 7, I received notification that buy.com had canceled my order and that I would get an email regarding what had happened... I received no such email.
I then contacted buy.com via email (they do not provide a customer support number on their site), and did not hear a word back. I searched their corporate address to find a phone number.
The explanation from the customer service provider as to why my order was canceled was that they couldn't verify my phone number. Why? Because they couldn't find it in the White Pages. Of course not- it's a cell phone. The form said nothing of having to give a land line. They canceled my order without even notifying me of the issue (if you can call it an issue. I've never personally dealt with a company who won't allow using a cell number on the order form. Even if that is buy.com's policy, should they not have it written SOMEWHERE that you must offer a land line?).
Further, the lens of reasonable price was suddenly (and surely SO unexpectedly!) out of stock, but I could purchase another one for just an extra hundred and twenty dollars...
ARE YOU BLOODY KIDDING ME? There is a very special place for anyone whose twisted business principles constitute messing with people's money.
I don't understand why buy.com is a verified vendor through Google. The seller reviews were mostly positive, and I trusted that Google wouldn't associate with a fraudulent corporation.
I have yet to even mention that the money I spent is still unavailable (even though the invoice states that my account was not charged), and when I brought this to the attention of buy.com's associate, she told me I must email Google to receive my refund because they had not received any money yet. Google support, on the other hand, states that refunds are the responsibility of the vendor. Because the order was canceled only yesterday, it is possible that the pending refund will take a day or so more, but I'm quite sure I'm not the only person who'd feel uncomfortable with such a great amount of money at stake.
Long story short, buy.com represents all that is unethical. Do your sanity and blood pressure a favor, and make your purchases elsewhere."

"Bought an Antec Signature 850 Watt Power Supply from Buy.com on a Friday afternoon and received it on Saturday morning via Fed Ex. It was just a GREAT experience and better than even Amazon.com.
First, they had a $10 coupon off for new customers right off the bat (they already had the lowest price for this item compared to other e-tailers).
Second, I paid only $2 and change for 2-day shipping (unheard of).
Third, I placed the order at roughly 4 PM EST, and the product shipped the SAME DAY via Fed Ex Ground Home Delivery.
Fourth, I received the item the next day (Saturday!)
So in conclusion, I received exactly what I ordered in the exact condition expected (new/sealed), at the lowest possible price I could find, and with the fastest possible shipping I could hope for (received the item in literally 18 hours after ordering it).
Every one makes a mistake here and there, so I'm not surprised by the number of negative reviews. You can't expect perfection each time (though it's always what e-tailers should strive for). But luckily I got a perfect experience from Buy.com. I hope you do too.
