"I ordered an HP laptop and some accessories and Buy.com did not contact me until 7-16-08 to tell me that they needed to verify my shipping address to ship the order. I told them I needed the package no later than 7-18-08 and to overnight the package, which they did but they only sent the accessories and not the laptop. I feel that the customer service rep either intentionally screwed up my order or she is incompetent and should not be working as a customer service rep. I will of course dispute all charges on my card from Buy.com and I will also be filing a compliant with the BBB. I would recommend that no one orders anything from Buy.com unless you like dealing with incompetent people and wasting time waiting."

"I ordered a Wii Fit and they apparently ran out. OK, fine. But they sent me an email "confirming your cancellation" of the order. Bogus! I never canceled the order, they just ran out and tried to make it my fault. Bad service."

"I've never really had a problem with purchases from buy.com. Other than some poorly packed CDs (they replaced them) and maybe some slow to ship orders (this is now a problem at most web discount sellers) everything arrives fine and no issues."

"I will be very careful before purchasing anything from Buy.com. These guys are a scam and are running a scam online shop site. I ordered an Olympus camera kit from Buy.com which showed in stock during order. For 5+ days, the order showed being in 'Processing'. Then I received an email from their customer service saying that my order has been canceled because their warehouse ran out of supply. I was stunned. Emails to the customer service for explanation were useless as I kept getting form letters saying 'we are sorry'. These days, how can't a website like Buy.com synchronize their inventory with order processing. I think you have plenty of options as online sites that sell electronic equipments. I will avoid Buy.com like a plague."

"Ordered the 8gb Sandisk Cruzer USB Drive on 6/19/08. I got an email saying the item shipped on 6/23. The envelope arrived on 6/28 but contained only a master packing slip indicating the item was shipped. There was no item in the envelope. I immediately contacted the company and told them about the problem. They approved my claim and request to have another drive shipped on 7/03. The drive shipped on 7/06 and arrived today (7/10). Dealing with the problem was a little aggravating, but overall Buy.com was responsive and did end up shipping my order. "

"This Company sucks bigtime together with fedex. Item was super delayed in shipping by about 3 weeks then After it finally shipped the item was nowhere to be found!! Being bounced back and forth and nobody will help me. They refused to replace the item.

Look elsewhere. Dont buy from buy.com!

"I ordered an 8GB SanDisk Cruzer and USPS tracking said the item was delivered, however, it was no where to be found.

This was the first time this had happened so I wasn't sure who to contact, USPS or buy.com

So, I emailed buy.com and they set up a claim for me, and a couple days later they emailed me saying my claim was approved and that I would be mailed a replacement free of charge.

Sure enough, a few days later, I got my USB drive. I'm VERY impressed by Buy.com and I'm really happy that they were able to send me an replacement order free of charge, great service, thanks Buy.com!

"I ordered a Logitech G25 from this site, which showed that it was "In Stock: Usually Ships in 1 to 2 business days.", which it still does. But after a week of being "Sent to Warehouse" and "In Process" I decided to e-mail them about what's going on.

But instead of a personal responce from one of their sales representatives, I recieved a generic e-mail saying that it was on backorder.

So I immediately went online to see if anyone else were getting the same results, finding out that I'm not the only one they've lied to.

I've immediately cancelled my order, hopefully I'll be lucky and they will finish "processing" my cancellation If not, I will take all actions necessary to prevent them from charging my credit card.

This company has lied and wasted the time of too many, they should be listed as scammers, as they take away the most valuable of one's life.

"I ordered a Corsair power supply for what appeared to be $70 off. I called the sales dept and spoke with someone who assured me the item was in stock for the advertised price.

Needless to say, I placed the order and 4 days later it had not shipped. Numerous calls to their worthless off-shore customer service line proved to me that I was getting played. They said they would 'escalate the issue' and have someone contact me in 1-2 business days.

THREE days later, they offered to 'escalate it' again... what, again!? I demanded to speak to a supervisor and was told he was busy and would return my call... yeah right, never happened.

Two days later, I get an email stating that they have canceled the order due to the unavailability of the item (even though it was back in stock on the site) and that a refund will be given in 2-3 business days. This is the fourth day and I have yet to see any indication of a refund!

The only decent reviews Buy.com has ever had have probably been due to their 'marketplace' purchases where you order from another company through them.

I had heard terrible things about Buy.com... I thought it was all some sort of exaggeration. It's not! trust me, STAY AWAY

"Too good to be true! A 1000W Corsair Power supply for $165!? Hell yes! ... here I am a week later, no PSU, no tracking number, and only a vague 'check this link to track via PayPal' response to my inquiries. Yes, the offer was a mistake. Fine. I can live with that -- just give me my money back! I'm not the only one who succumbed to this; I found the price via the hot deals forum on DSLreports.com. In that same thread, are folks that have so far gotten cancellations, and at least one person has reported a refund, as well as a $10 gift card to Buy.com. Whoopie! A $10 gift card from a company I'll never but from again! Mistakes happen, but keeping someone's hard-earned cash for an indeterminate amount of time is utterly ridiculous."

"Worst of the worst. Avoid like a plague.

I bought a "free after rebate" software from them. Long story short, the manufacturer went under and refused to pay the rebate. Contacted buy.com, all I heard is that it was not their business. So they are only interested in your money, not interested in taking care of the customers. I advise against anyone from buying from buy.com
