"I placed an order on March 18th, which indicated it would ship within 2 days. Emailed them on the 21st and they sent back a "canned" response that it take 1-2 days to ship. "Hello" now it has been 4 days, and with the weekend , it will be at least the 24th before it ships, probably longer. Beware, it seems their service is not what it used to be, and many are complaining. Are their days numbered?"
"Noticed a great price for a HP Personal Media External Hard Drive - 750GB - 7200rpm. After discount price offered by buy.com was $177...I should have known it was too good to be true. I tracked the order for four days and it always indicated that the order was being "sent to warehouse". I finally went back to the product description and it said the item was "temporarily out of stock" with no indication of restocking date. I have not purchased from buy.com for a few years and I probably won't for another few years."

"I have ordered several times with buy.com before and never had a problem. But I bought an external hard drive on Mar 19 2008 and found that it was cheaper by about $18 at Officedepot.com. I pointed this to them and they rejected my request saying that buy.com has a free shipping on this product. LOL, officedepot also has free shipping. "Need to buy two small items, a USB hub, and a phone charger. Liked the price and S&H (2.99). After pushing the buy button the S&H went to 8.99. Sweet for them. I wrote several e-mails canceling the order. Was informed I had to cancel with second vendor. Still received one unit and was billed. I am now going to work with VISA to get a refund. Very poor quality operation. "
"I ordered IBM ThinkPad T40 from Buy.com, it's mentioned as Refurbished but I received used laptop, IBM clearly mentioned about this laptop saying Thank you for purchasing used laptop. I tried to return to Buy.com they asked me to contact IBM, I contacted IBM they told me this product was sold to reseller they cannot take it back asking to contact Buy.com, again I contacted Buy.com they asked me all details about the product and rejected for return. Now I do not have a choice, contacted BoFA credit card dept, they also help less. Beware before buying any product from Buy.com, you are not sure what you are going to get if you order from Buy.com. I decided not to buy anything from this merchandise."

They refused to give me a refund because the box was opened (go figure). It's been one month since I placed the original order and still do not have a replacement or credit. " I ordered a SD card and never received it- a total of $9 or so. I called and they assured me I would get it in five days as they would reship it. Then out of nowhere I get an email saying claim denied? I guess I'm a $9 mail fraud thief? Funny thing is that I order from them all the time- just bought a GPS as a matter of fact. "I tried to order two different computer systems for a family member from Buy.com and they could not make good on either offer. They appear to have major problems with completing transactions. I would reccommend that you stay away from Buy.com! I spent ten days calling them every day trying to work out the problems. My bank could not figure out what their problems were. I can’t help but wonder if they even have the merchandise they advertise since they could not fill either order and their reasons were bogus. (On My last attempt to purchase from them, their excuse for not being able to fill my order was that they could not verify my phone number. I had no missed calls on my phone so that was definitely bogus.)

"Placed my order, got a tracking number. Website clearly said that only the tracking info had been transmitted to Fedex. So when there was no further tracking info and the package did not arrive, I was not surprised. But I was upset. After calling customer support, they said I must file a claim that takes roughly 2 weeks to resolve. The only claim I wish to make is that Buy.com is incapable of providing proper customer service when things go bad. Now they have my money, and their website clearly states they never shipped the package. All I can do is wait weeks for this to be resolved. I have called to talk with managers, but they all read off the same script, stating that I must wait until the claim is resolved before anything can happen. Meanwhile the product I ordered is now listed as limited quantities. I suspect that just after they run out stock of this item, they will finally determine that the package was never shipped - as the website has always stated. "Horrible is all I can say about Buy.com! Their Customer Service dept either can't read or don't feel service to customers is part of their job. I've sent umteen emails to them regarding an order and all I get back is what looks like a form reply (not the one that says they have received my request) not even addressing my concerns. After trying to get the information I was requesting and just getting a run a round, I asked for someone in a higher position and I was sent packing. I found some email addresses for other depts on the internet and tried those. They didn't bounce back, but were NEVER replied back. I WILL NEVER order from Buy.com again and I advise anyone else to think twice and also go elsewhere."
