"I placed my order on Feb18, 2008 using GCO. M order was the Kingston 4GB microSDHC micro Secure Digital High Capacity Card w/ Full Size SD Adapter. I got the conform email few hours after the order was placed, and there was an estimate of 3 to 5 days for the shipping. However, I started email them after 7 days. They said the item still in the fulfilment process because they said it may take up to 9 days for the item to be shipped. I emailed them again on Feb28, now they said the item was backorder and they could not tell when they will ship my order. Why dont they tell me on the first 1 or 2 days after I placed the order. On March4, they had the exact item for sell on their website, the SKU#206892289 4gb microSD Kingston. Emailed them again at 3:30pm on March4,2008. They emailed me back saying they are working hard on filling my order, WTF. Today is March11, 2008 and I am still waiting for my order. Emailed GCO already but didn't receive any answer. Very disappointed to both BUY.COM and GOOGLECHECKOUT.COM."

"I wish I had looked into buy.com before buying. I bought a Asus eee pc, but decided another model would better suit my needs. Even though unopened and unused, buy.com would not do a return. I'm stuck, so beware!! I'm amazed Asus would condone this. Forget them too.

"There is a link when you are checking out to receive a coupon for $10.00 off your next order. Other places I buy from have these also to reward their frequent buyers so I clicked it. Nowhere did I see that I was going to be automatically signed up for a thing called Reservation Rewards. Well guess what. That $10.00 off coupon cost me $12.00 because that is the cost of being enrolled in Reservation Rewards.
I won't buy from the again.

"Eventhough they shipped the item very quick but the item received after 7 days. The item was opened codition eventhough buy.com mentioned it is new. Iam afraid now as I read some of the reveiews they ship returned items or open items. I won't buy anything from buy.com from now on as they lost the trust. I am completely dissatisfied of the whole transaction. "

"I placed my order for a luggage set, and never received it. I followed up with an email to buy.com support and was told that my item was delivered. When I questioned the possibility that the carrier delivered to the wrong home, and reiterated that I have not received anything from them, I was basically told that they would assume no responsibility and that I was out the $69 dollars that I paid for the set. I also noticed that the item that was advertised as $44 + FREE SHIPPING. The shipping was also NOT FREE. I was charged nearly 30 dollars for a standard (non expedited) Fed Ex delivery. I sent another email requesting more information about my order and after two weeks, I have not received a reply from customer support. I had to purchase a set locally for the trip I had planned. I am out 70 dollars for merchandise that I never received, and have filed a complaint with my credit card company.
You can find this item in several internet stores, and for less at some places. I would suggest buying this set elsewhere and save yourself the headache of dealing with buy.com.

"Worst customer support ever! Placed an order on website, used google checkout and later find out that my order was canceled by buy.com. I call customer support to find out the reason. They read back to me the email they sent me and told me to talk to google about the cancellation, although it was them who canceled it.

If you want to be frustrated, use buy.com If not, there's a ton of other places who fulfill orders and can give you customer support.

Conclusion = easy to buy, so reluctant to fulfill.

"Beware of warranty on refurbished products. Bought a refurbished mp3 player and buy.com stated that it carries a 90 day warranty. I contacted them when the player stopped functioning properly and they told me to contact the manufacturer for warranty repairs. Upon contacting SanDisk, they informed me that refurbished products carry NO warranty and that buy.com corporate is aware of this. Why haven't they removed the false information from their site? Upon contacting them again, they still refused to correct the issue. I do not recommend them. They are dishonest!"

"Ordered a printer and a digital camera on my latest order. Both arrived quickily, well packed, and without hassle.
I have made dozens of purchases from this site over the past year or two without any major problems. Yes, every once in a while something will take an extra day or two, but nothing to really whine about.
I have had to return an item and I have had a package get lost in transit and both times, the customer service was able to rectify the problem within a couple of days.
I rarely rate online merchants, but I felt compelled to give this review simply because it seems this site is getting its ratings hammered by adolescents who can't wait a day or two for shipping that is FREE. If you want something shipped faster, then just pay the couple of extra bucks, but don't whine when the free shipping takes a couple of days more.
I will definitely be ordering from Buy.com again, it might not be the the best online store, but it is great for a lot of inexpensive gear. Personally, I'd rate them just slightly under Amazon.

"THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE - BUYER BEWARE DO NOT USE BUY.COM. So here's my story, I go and buy a keyboard from them, where there is NO indication that the item I will receive is going to be a returned/open item. According to the website, I was to receive a NEW item. Upon receiving the item, I of course do NOT open it at all, call them the following day and the agent tells me, "Oh, no problem!!! This was supposed to be a new item. Go ahead and return it to us w/our prepaid shipping label. We will notify the manufacturer you are to receive a new one and we'll ship it off to you". I'm over here thinking wow, they aren't as bad as everyone says!

Why is it a week later I get an email saying that they have refunded me $23 LESS than what I paid for the entire item. I call back, and I get from the customer service agent "Once a refund has been issued we cannot do anything." I explain to him that I never requested a refund, I wanted a replacement. If you can't do anything I want my money back, I say. He puts me on hold for 10 min to talk to his supervisor, and all he comes back w/is sorry I can't help you and I'll run this by the refund department to TRY to get you the rest of the money. Then I demand to speak to the supervisor, who is "busy" on another call...Yea probably dealing with another angry customer. Supposedly she is going to call me.

I will be following up in 2 days with the refund department. If I do not see results, I will be complaining to the Better Business Bureau. They need to be shut down.

pros: easy to order and take your money
cons: worst customer service ever and not clear descriptions of exactly WHAT you will be receiving in the mail

there are much better online sites...

"This was the worst online purchasing experience I have ever had. My order was cancelled twice, both times without explanation. I finally had to call the order in. After which, it was still in "processing" two days later.

When I saw the processing delay even on my call-in order, I asked the sales rep about rushing the order through, as it had already been canceled twice. Her answer to my needing the package by a certain date was to pay another $15 on top of the $20 I had already paid to expedite shipping.

I ended up canceling the order all together and bought, shipped, and had delivered the items from Newegg....all in the same time frame it took Buy.com to even process.
