"This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced shopping on line. I called their ***-***-**** and waited on line for ONE HOUR and 2 min!!!! That is over 1 HOUR!!! Noone picked up!!!! I hung up. I never waited less than 40 min. I will never order anything with this company again. I tryed to cancel my order after 3 hours of ordering it and was told I could not. They charged me and I have not received the refund yet. It's been one month now! If you want to save yourself some time, some nerves and money, do not order from this company."
"This company is pretty consistent in having 'supposed' pricing errors. They lure customers in hoping they will buy other items and then the wonderful deals get cancelled the next day. Their customer service is close to non existant both on the phone and through email AVOID THEM. Sometimes saving $2 over a competitor is not worht the extra headaches and aggrevation. I think ill stick to amazon that has wonderful customer service."

I ordered a 30gb black Zune refirb that was advertised for being in stock... what a joke. They quickly put my status as "On Order", and it has remained as such... 2 MONTHS AFTER MY ORDER.
My Zune will never come, I just canceled my order... let's hope they actually do as they are told. They already charged my credit card... that isn't even right.

"I would advise you not to purchase from Buy.com. I just cancelled my 2nd order to them in as many months. They put hot items up on their website, get hundreds of orders for them, saying the item is IN STOCK, and then 2 days later they tell you that the item is on backorder and that they have no ETA. Customer service is slow to non-existant, they told me for fastest service I should leave my phone number so they can call me. Well here it is, 24 hours later, and no call. I'm going to cancel my buy.com credit card and take my buisiness elsewhere. Watch this company go belly-up."

"I ordered a Zen MP3 player. Received the package on time, but the box was empty. NOthing inside but a packing slip. Still got charged, they denied the claim. "Buy.com get an 'F' for customer service. This pertains to an order placed 02-06-07, almost a year ago. The item purchased was a Coolmax 500W powersupply that came with a $28 rebate. The rebate was mailed 3 days after receiving the item. Two months later, after checking online for rebate status, I discover that rebate was rejected for "Missing material, not using mailing label". What the hell does that mean? I fulfilled all my obligations. Coolmax won't even consider validating the submission; and repeated calls (almost once a month) to Buy.com customer service has yielded only a response of "customer service will forward complaint to rebate specialist". That must be the standard answer. They also promise that someone will contact me by phone or email. Not once did anyone contact me. I've been a very good customer of Buy.com over the years but their uncaring attitude has done it for me. Threats of posting negative comments and reporting them to the State Attorney General doesn't phase them. I'm also tired of being put on hold for 30 minutes to an hour each time."

"I have a mixed review. On my first order, I ordered a DSL modem. The price was great, and it shipped amazingly fast.
Two months later, I ordered a similar product as a Christmas present. Fortunately, I tested the item within the 30-day return period. It was defective. I obtained an RMA, and shipped it back.
A month later, I had heard nothing. I logged into my account, and there was no record of an RMA and a return. I contacted customer service, and they told me that the warehouse had never received my returned shipment. Fortunately, I had a tracking number, and had paid extra for a signed receipt. I sent this information, and two days later, they issued a refund.
I guess my beefs with buy.com are: they don't seem to track RMA's, and they lose shipments. A more cynical person might think that they were hoping I would go away, or that I would not be able to prove that I had shipped them the item. You have to wonder what would have happened if I had sent the item by regular mail, and had no tracking number or signature to back up my story.
By the way, the $10 I spent shipping the defective item back wiped out the savings I made on my first item.
Moral of the story: If returning an internet purchase, get some kind of proof-of-delivery."
"On December 9th, I pre-ordered the Bladerunner 5-disc HD-DVD from Buy.com because they had a decent price. It shipped on the 14th. Not bad, I thought. After waiting a week and half for it, I decided to contact them (they were shipping within the same state). They stated they would look into it. Another week goes by, and I don't have my item. I double checked my order information, and notice that my address was incorrect-a number was transposed with another. Duh, that's my fault, I'll admit. The package was returned to their warehouse after being lost in the mail. They asked if I wanted them to re-ship? I told them yes, and I attempted to correct the shipping info. They told me they could not modify information once the order is place. Even after I tell them the address is wrong, and a package was lost once already? So I tell them to cancel my order then. The next day, they inform me that they cannot cancel my order because they shipped it. Why would you ship it knowingly to a wrong address??! I never got the package, it got delivered to who knows where. Buy kept refusing to correct my information and denied my claim. I realize the mistake was initially mine, but they shipped again even after I corrected them?! How idiotic is that? I contacted my credit card company and initiated a chargeback. I have record of all correspondence with them, and their refusal to correct the address and insisting on shipping even after I tried to correct them and cancel. Lame policies."
"Buy.com has the worst customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. I used to work as a CS manager for a major software firm and am honestly appalled at the service level Buy.com has provided me.
It began with the shipment of a pre-opened package for a wireless device which included a power adapter for a different device. (Rendering it useless.) I'm assuming it was a customer return which was not quality checked before reselling. For a replacement, Buy.com does not ship a new one out until they receive the old one via ground delivery which takes 5-7 (or more) days to get to their warehouse. They then ship the replacement via ground delivery for another 5-7 (or more) days.
I find this completely unacceptable as Buy.com is at fault in this situation for selling unchecked faulty merchandise. I contacted Buy.com's customer service on three separate occasions to plea my case and asked for an escalation on my third attempt. Each time I received an impersonal boilerplate email reply which did not solve my problem or answer my questions.
My mistake was giving Buy.com a chance after having heard such bad reviews and Customer Service horror stories from my friends. I will never deal with Buy.com again and cannot recommend them in any way."
