"The bottom side of the hood underneath the vent area was very rough Cut. It’s gonna take a lot of work and money to make it look acceptable. Also do that cut the hood is very flimsy and that area almost to the point of wanting to crack in half. "

"I placed and order but you did not show shipping until after I agree to it, and the shipping was 4x the price of the item, it was on weekend, and the process to cancel was basically reach out via phone, and of course you are closed on the weekends. "The purchase and shopping on CARiD was good; CarID products were very well laid out on their website. Ordering was good and easy. Notification and updates of shipment were good, and I received status updates on the order until delivery, that was good also as it had tracking information on the shipment. However, it appeared the automotive hood product was damaged during shipping. Not really CarID's fault, but more possibly the shippers fault. However who's really to say... Maybe it would be good if the products like Automotive hoods and fenders are packaged in a way that doesn't arrive damaged. Maybe the shipper could ask for better shipping prepared products from CARiD, who knows? After the damage photos were sent to CARiD, my body shop indicated it would be a $300 repair to get the hood back to A+. After sending the photos to CARiD customer support, their resolution was $50 and a $20 gift card. I accepted this as a remedy as the hood was already delivered and the driver had already departed. I didn't have a whole lot of choice in the matter. So what was a $662 purchase, shipping included, turned into a $892 purchase after all said and done. The good news is customer service handled the issue. The bad news is that it made it much more expensive to get a good new BMW replacment hood delivered than I thought it would.
Probally, the best idea moving forward would be; to simply make better shipping crates for products being shipped.
CARiD deserves a good overall rating... even though the hood was considerably more than I thought it would be at the end of the day.
