"Poor communication and false information regarding item availability. The website and order email confirmation showed the item I purchased was "in stock and would ship within 1 business day". I have to reach out to the company a week later to be advised the item was back ordered and would ship 16 days after it was ordered. "I received my pick head fire axe and cannot believe you would even sell this to the general public, especially not a professional firefighter. The axe is GARBAGE, piece of CRAP, first of all its not the same one pictured on your site, the one I received had three 1/8 inch deep grooves on both sides of the axe head which look horrible, it should have been smooth like the picture on your web site or I would not have ordered it. Secondly the cutting edge of the blade was warped. When you look down the blade edge it should be straight but this one looked like an s. I should have sent it back to you but I did'nt because I thought I might be able to fix it but I was wrong. The quality of the steel is very poor and while I was working on it a portion of the blade edge actually broke off rendering it useless for firefighting duties. You should really look at a new vendor for your axes because the one you are selling is of the poorist quality and does not fit with your name. Randy Garry, professional firefighter for 25yrs."

"Honestly Chief has the worst customer service I've ever ran into online. NO communication, no concern for the customer, and flat out disrespectful. I will never use chief again! My product was great, but Chief has nothing to do with that. My product ended up going on backorder after I PAID, when I paid it stated delivered in two weeks or less well three weeks later I CONTACTED chief..... well they explained backorder and said it would be and extra few weeks well more weeks went on I ended up contacting them 4 TIMES!!! It took over 2 1/2 months to recieve my product. It was a summer item that I recieved in fall after the heat in indiana was well past. My last conversation with chief I stated all the run around I've been given and they said o well we have some of those in stock i'll ship it out next day ,...... WHY THE HECK do I need to call after months to tell you I want my product that is now in stock shipped. RIDCULOUS that is the only word for it.

I found on the bill where they had back-ordered the holster but there was nothing about how long it would take to get it. An email would have been nice. "Placed an order to replaced a retirement badge that had been damaged. The order was placed August 4,th 2011. I was called by Brandon from Chief on August 5th and he inquired about my order. I explained I was retired, my old badge had been damaged and I asked him if he needed me to send any documentation. He said no. I had not received the order by September 6th and I called back. They told me that I needed documentation and that was holding up the order. They had no record of their company calling me. I had to fax credentials and now they tell me that the order will be another three-four weeks. Terrible service, except for that they have deposited my money. Lousy phone system half the time one can not get someone to answer the phone. "
