A Beautiful Clock.. Packed With Love!

"Well, it was a rocky start after my order was received and payment accepted. I have used my debit card for many online purchases, but there was a formality here. I was a little disappointed that the shipment took so long to get to it's destination. I had made the order on August 30th and the clock didn't arrive to the recipient until on or about Sept. 17th. Day after day I had checked my email and I felt that I was left hanging. I was surprised that nobody notified me and I had to contact them. However, I am very satisfied with my purchase. The recipient has sent me videos and pictures and indeed loves the clock very much. It was packed with love and I could tell. The craftsmanship is remarkable and to know that it is from Germany, where both the recipient and I have roots, makes it extremely special. Thank you so much. I will definitely be ordering another clock soon. This time, with a credit card! Smiles."

"I was very pleased with the "white glove delivery" and the tracking of my order. The bar that I ordered was excellent quality and the delivery service did a nice job of the minor assembly and placing the item "upstairs", which was not easy."

"Clock Way bent over backward to get my clock to me before my daughter’s wedding! The clock I purchased was on backorder but they offered me a more expensive clock for the same amount. I received it the next day. It was beautiful and the perfect gift. I really appreciate what they did for me and my daughter. "

"There is no excuse for this. Placed order on July 13. They sent a note saying it would likely ship in 48 hours it is now July 26 and no further information. However they have already charged my card. "

Poor assembly

"We were excited to finally find a mantel clock that we both agreed on. With all the 5-star reviews, we were certain all would be perfect. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. We were very surprised and disappointed to see that inside the clock case, the speaker and speaker cover had dislodged and bounced around during transport. We could see wood on the small screws. We can only guess that the screws were ripped out of the casing by the slightest movement because they are too small or not installed correctly. We were able to very gently re-install the screws and the chimes sound fine.
The shipping box was in perfect condition, no dents or damage.
Again, with all the 5-star reviews and their statement – “Our products are well-packed. Shipping damage is very rare.” - , we sure didn’t expect to fix an issue that happened in assembly of the clock! It was such a disappointment. With that said, we have no plans on returning the clock (and even if we did, the 24/7 on-line service isn’t working, by the time they got our USPS letter the 5-day contact requirement had past). We only wanted to let them (and you) know of the poor quality of assembly. We expected much more for our $300.00. We wouldn’t purchase from them again.

Update: they did contact us and request photos which we sent. Then they offered us a $40 "discount". What good is a discount if you aren't going to buy from them again?

Like a black hole for order status, but problems addressed!

"Wanted to let others know about my attempts to find out what is happening with an order I made for a small Seiko travel clock. Placed the order on Moday morning and almost immediately had an automated confirmation e-mail at 8:38 PST that informed me to visit their shipping estimates page and that a tracking status would be e-mailed. Checked the shipping estimates page on their site and found that the order should ship in 24-48 hours. Then, when nothing was received by late Thursday, I used their web site tracking tool and it responded that the order did not exist. So, as of Saturday afternoon, it still shows the order does not exist and I have no idea if this is ever going to ship, particularly if the company refuses to respond to their own contact forms. But, they certainly processed the VISA charge shortly after the order was place. Right this minute, I wouldn't do business with this outfit. Will update if they ever have the courtesy to respond.

Day after I posted this review, received a call from "Mike" at clockway and the order was finally received last week. Gratis. Never heard anything from the 2 contact attempts made through their website contact form, but they did get me the clock I ordered.

CURIO CABINET

"I LOVE MY CURIO CABINET. IT FITS PERFECTLY IN MY SMALL LIVINGROOM AND HOLDS MY BIG 48 INCH TV WITH EASE.

Not perfect!!

"They use a bit of chicanery on their site. Every day is a 24 hour sale. And they play the mattress store game. They use different model numbers and descriptions for their Seiko clocks instead of using the actual model number to try and make it harder for you to compare prices on other websites. For example, the Seiko Colburn Chiming Mantel Clock with Tambour Oak Case and Metal Dial - GSK4482 I ordered is actually the Seiko Oak & Brass Tambour Clock - QXJ003BLH (label on box).
The processing and shipping on my oder was also very slow, ordered on 1/15, shipped on 1/23, received on 1/29. I had to call their customer service to get it shipped. They also charge your credit card the day you place an order, not when it ships.
I gave them 3 stars for having the lowest price on the web for this clock, free shipping, and no sales tax. The clock did arrive undamaged from CA to TN from a company called Gift Theory, same address as Clockway.
Would I buy from them again, maybe.

Amazing Customer Service

"I ordered a bar from this company. It was quite expensive (3700) and upon arrival required more assembly than was promised. In contacting customer service they promptly found someone in the area that assembled furniture. The bar is stunning and the customer service was amazing!! I went from fearing the worst to receiving the best -- very, very happy and satisfied customer!"
