"I placed an order directly on the store on the 21st December, $300 dollars for some nifty DLink wireless access points for our sales team to use demonstrating wireless applications. The product was ordered for priority shipping (International) and was due just after Xmas, give or take a few days I expected it before end of December for priority shipping. 4th January no delivery, no notification of shipping. I emailed their customer service management asking for information or a refund if they were unable to supply the goods. Customer service sent a very terse response just detailing me a "tracking number" for UPS which to be honest could be for any customer as no details are available. The Unit apparently left NJI on the 26th December but there is no update and it is the 8th January now. Once again I have written to their customer service department to investigate, replace the lost order or refund my money. I am very disappointed not only with their delivery service but also the "lack of interest" from their customer support team. I see they have some good reviews, but also a growing number of disappointed customers. I wont use them again and would not recommend them."
"Bought a Mio 310X car navigation unit from compuplus.
Order was processed and charged, then shipped out promptly the next day. Received item from UPS on January 3rd 2007.
Overall, a smooth transaction with no glitches. "
"Placed an order for a Garmin Nuvi 350 NA Asian Edition on the 15th as a Christmas present. They sent me a regular edition Nuvi 350 on the 19th. I called and explained my situation. They gave me an RMA and I placed an order for the correct one and was told it would be shipped the same day. As of today, the 26th, I never recieved the package. I called to inquire about it and was told that they were out of stock when my 2nd order was placed but they didn't bother to tell me. If I knew that, I could've placed an order elsewhere. They also charged me for the product before they even shipped it which is a shady practice in and of itself. Thanks for wrecking it guys."
"I ordered a Braun Pulsonic Shaver (9595CC) because they had the best price online. I was a little apprehensive because of some of the negative reviews, but decided to try them anyway because Amazon's expected shipping date was in December.
Although I used standard shipping (they use USPS Priority), they shipped the next day and I got my shaver the day after that (today).
Can't do much better than that! I would definitely order from them again in the future."
"I recently ordered a Garmin 660 GPS from this vendor as a gift to my mother in another state. Although they charged my credit card immediately, they notified me several days later that they couldn't ship the unit because they were unable to ship the device to the non-billing address unless I added the address to my credit card. I did this immediately, and responded to their e-mail that I had followed their instructions. They did not respond. I followed up with another e-mail. They did not respond. I followed up with another e-mail, they responded with the original e-mail on what they needed to complete the transaction. My mother's birthday passed without the gift. Finally, they responded to my cancellation e-mail, and apparently credited my account (I'm still trying to verify this). Needless to say, I will never try to purchase anything from these people again."
"I was sceptical in the beggining about placing my order (logitech wireless DJ) from Comp-U-plus... However, since they had the best price on the internet, I decided to take my chances.
I don't regret that at all. Fast shipping and brand new product. Way to go Comp-U-Plus!
Would shop again."
"Ordered a Western Digital RE2 WD5000YS hard drive advertised as an RE2 WD5000YS. I was sent a WD5000ABYS (AB) model which is a model. Deception? Compu-U-Plus instsisted the drives are the same - they are not. The model number scheme has changed since my review but does not change the fact these are different, physicly different, being sold seperatly through WD's own web store. I contacted Western Digital as Comp-U-Plus is an authorized e-seller. Comp-U-Plus refused to refund shipping of course. It's also worth mentioning that it took them 4 days to PREPARE my order to ship for 2 Day Shipping NOT including the weekend. I am extreemly dissatisfied at this point.
EDIT: As of today Western Digital has assured me these drives will work together in RAID but that THEY ARE DIFFERENT. Western Didital does not sell the drives from thier own website store as the same. 1.) The RE has no legacy molex power connector - that makes them different. I have RE2's which have the molex and it is used and I like having it vs the hole where it was in the RE. 2.) The platter setup is different, from 4 x 125GB (RE2 WD5000YS) to 3 x 167GB (RE WD5000ABYS). Drive spec sheets on website indicate the RE2 models have slightly higher throughput than the RE models (70 vs 61 Mb/sec).
These are not the same drive. The professional advice on RAID arrays is pair "identicle" drives -not "very similar" drives and remember that these are enterprise level drives. Comp-U-Plus was missinformed by Western Digital but they mad the error selling the drives with missrepresentaion.
UPDATE: Updated my review to reflect what I believe was an honest and sincere missunderstanding of the product I purchased. This was NOT entirely the fault of this e-seller and they were polite and expedient. They were WRONG in their advertising though and I stand by that. No intended deception I believe."
"Ordered a Harmony 880 remote control. Price was ok, but there was no tracking number for a week. I recommend to these people that they NOT use UPS, as I found out that the package got lost for awhile in New Jersey. Final word: Prices ok, service mediocre."
"UPDATE 7/14/07 Well dealing with these guys was interesting. The problem is it's like dealing with a one eyed dog. As long as you stay within their system and follow their rules everything will be fine. This was my first order from them, I ordered two SLR's. The problem came when my phone number didn't turn up on the order form. Julie e-mailed me right away, and I immediatly responded to her e-mail by replying directly to it. You can't do that! You have to go to their sight and pull down your order status window and respond there otherwise you get lost in never never land. She does not read her replies. Once I figured all of that out the rest went smoothly. It took more than two weeks to complete the deal. My cameras are to be delivered Monday according to the tracking. I will assume all of that will happen smoothly, but I didn't think it was fair to leave a totally negative response here. Their prices are very good. If you figure out their system, and jump through their hoops exactly, they can be a good place to purchase electronics. Just don't be in a big hurry as you may be disappointed, but if looking for the best price they may be just what you need. The only better price is Best Price Cameras, but they are a total rip off, bait and switch, nightmare. Compuplus is for real, and you can get what they advertise. Just understand the way they work before you use them. Oh yah, they at least read their reviews and responded, so they do care to some point.Update 07/20/07 Cameras recieved in good shape. Would consider ordering from them again with the good pricing and my knowledge of their system. Happy hunting."
"Placed an order through Google checkout for a Logitech wireless mouse. When I received the shipping confirmation e-mail, I was disappointed to see that the "ground shipping" option was USPS, rather than UPS. That disappointment was tempered by the fact that the item was in fact shipped Priority Mail, as opposed to first class or parcel post. That made me feel somewhat better about paying the somewhat steep $8.99 shipping fee. The mouse works great, and I would consider shopping at Comp-U-Plus again as long as my total cost, including shipping, ended up being less than another online merchant. As a suggestion to Comp-U-Plus, you might want to consider changing the description of ground shipping to standard, as a lot of people will think that their orders will be sent via FedEx or UPS. Perhaps they could change it to "standard" or "saver.""
"I had checked another well known ratings site for this vendor and they had very good reviews with only a few "Slight" dings. I placed my first order for a TomTom One XL from this vendor. The price was substantially below retail and what other online vendors were selling it for. After I placed the order I became skeptical and started checking out more reviews and found this site. After reading some of the reviews here and the trouble people have had - I became very nervous.
I am happy to say that the order I placed was filled and shipped immediately and packed well. I got it 4 days after ordering it (UPS Ground which is what I chose for shipping).
The item is new (not a refurb) and was in a fully sealed box with absolutely no issues.
If they had troubles in the past - it appears that they've addressed them. I will make more purchases from this vendor in the future.

"I placed my order on 05/22/2007 and paid via Google check-out for the Second Day delivery, but my order was shipped via ground service and delivered after 6 days. Sent few e-mail requesting credit for the extra money i paid for the expedited delivery, but no answers @ all.
June, 7. Refund received from Comp-U-Plus."
"Great price and fast shipping. I'm very satisfied with my purchase of a Bosch vacuum cleaner from Coup-U-Plus. "
"Excellent price and fast shipment. Wow, $150 less than Amazon prices and no scam (Shure e500PTH). WOW! My second time shopping with compuplus. My only beef is no tracking number on such an expensive shipment.... I would expect higher quality shipping for the charge ($15). Still miles cheaper than I could find elsewhere..."
"I had no problems with my order. It was delivered quickly, within 3 days across the US, and was correct. Item received was a retail product, and has functioned perfectly thus far. "
