"I found this site through pricegrabber. As the IT Manager for a multi-million dollar company, I normally purchase at least ten thousand dollars per month from various vendors. After waiting over a week and emailing several times to get the statue of my order for 6 wireless cards, I called the sales phone number. The rep answered fairly quickly then placed me on hold for over 1/2 hr. My second call the same guy answered and I asked while I was taking put me on hold again without letting me finish my sentence. 1/2 hr on hold later I again called back. On this third call I got two word out and he hung up on me. I called there long distance customer service number and no one answered after waiting 15 minutes. I email them to cancel my order. They responded to the email with a tracking number and if I wanted to cancel I could pay to ship the item back to them for a refund - restocking fees. I tracked the item and it was shipped out the night before (remember this is over a week after I originally placed the order). I will never order from them again !

Look they responded after the review two months ago, and they are still confused about this order because it was 13 days before I received the box from UPS.

"I ordered a coffee machine from this store because it was the website listed on Froogle with the lowest price. On the website they listed 2 similar items, and I ordered the lower-priced item. After numerous emails regarding getting my shipping address correct (despite the fact that I entered it correctly into the web form) I was shipped the wrong item -- they shipped me the similar higher-priced item. I checked back on their website, and they had eliminated the item I ordered, leaving only the other similar item. When I called customer support they informed me that they were not aware there was 2 different models even though they originally listed prices for both models. After discovering they did not have the item I ordered, they informed me I would NEVER be able to get that item through them. Very disappointing they did not know what they were selling -- you wonder about a computer parts store selling coffee makers.

On the plus side, they are sending me a pre-paid shipping label to return the item without a restocking fee. However, I would never order from that website again after this experience.

"I ordered a Create Zen Vision:M from their website as a Christmas gift for my daughter. We specifically chose this vendor because they advertised the unit on their website as coming with "Power adapter with 2 interchangable plugs". Since this was an important feature we ordered the unit from them. Upon opening the unit we found no separate power charger. After numerous phone calls and emails I have yet to receive anything but an offer to return the unit for refund. Since it was given as a gift this is not an option. This company engages in false advertising!!! Don't patronize them. I will be filing charges with their local law enforcment agency."

"The worst experience I have had shopping through internet. I'm an international buyer (from Peru). I ordered a Sandisk Sansa MP3 player (C250) on december 30th.On december, 31th, my credit card was billed by Comp-U-Plus (I've verified this in my local bank) by the amount of the purchase (plus the shipping price).

The problem began on january, 2nd. An employee (Susan) send me an email telling me that they couldn't verify my billing information because my credit card was not from US. After that, I send her an email asking why they charged my credit card if they couldn't verify my billing info. Since then, I haven't received any communication from them and I've kept sending them email to susan and to their customer service, but they seem to ignore all my emails.

I've bought many things online, but this is the first time I have this kind of problem. I'm really disappointed with Compu-U-Plus and their service. Be careful with this people. Never trust them.

On the 5th day after not recieving an email with tracking # I called to enquire, only to be told they over sold the item and it would not be available till after the holidays. Why charge the card and not notify consumer of shortage? I won't go as far as to say "Shady" but poor business practice at the least. I have since received an email stating my card has been credited but the credit has not appeared on my card yet.

"I should have read this website before I made my purchase. Had I known... This website WILL be added to my "Favorites" for any dealings with other resellers...

Like others who had issues with shipping procedures, lousy customer service attitudes, and previously unrealized return policies, etc., I have had a similar experience. Here below is a synopsis of what was documented with the Magellan GPS manufacturer, addressed to Mr. "P---" on December 19, 2006:

Thank you for hearing me on my problem as discussed on the telephone. To recap problem in bullet-form:

• I shopped for a GPS and chose Magellan
• What I didn’t tell you is that I first picked the 3050T from Costco,
• Returned the 3050 to Costco unopened because I was going to try to “spring” for the better 6000T
• Went price-shopping as any educated consumer would do
• At A**N**D** website, requested pricing on 6000T – also called and left voicemail on “800” number
• After several days calling and leaving messages, I gave up on A**N**D**
• I saw another site which I hoped was not a “fly-by-night” operation, Compu-Plus, and ordered the 6000T by telephone on November 28
• I received the GPS Friday night, December 1--not by UPS with a real tracking number... No, by US Post Office "Priority" Mail...
• On Tuesday, December 12, I finally receive the email from A**N**D** that a quote was ready for me at the specified link
• I finally got who I think is the “owner” of A**N**D** and asked why I didn’t get quotes earlier…He admitted problems with web servers and didn’t understand why he didn’t get voicemail.
• I expressed concern over pricing, he said there was a price adjustment from the manufacturer… I should try calling Compu-Plus… I told him I didn’t think it would work, because I learned shortly after receiving GPS, that Compu-Plus was not as reputable as I hoped, based on feedback I read, etc.
• A**N**D** was a help over a further concern that the 6000T was “gray-market”, so he calls your place on my behalf with my serial #. He also told me that Compu-Plus was NOT an authorized dealer as they claimed…
• Result of the call was that is was NOT gray-market, but that the supply comes to Compu-Plus from 6th Avenue Electronics… Compu-Plus apparently does NOT get their supply from Magellan… (That means they can’t be “authorized”, right?)
• I call today to your company [Magellan] BEFORE calling Comu-Plus and spoke to a female rep in your area—I thought her name was L---, or C---—who told me to try Compu-Plus anyway as price adjustments come from them as “passed down”, or something to that effect… In other words, they should be able to work with me…
• Now I call to Compu-Plus, and they rudely tell me that the return policy on their website (which I didn’t see at the time, as I CALLED my order in) was a refund at the “current” price if lower, not my original payment… Also, “prices go up and down five times in a week”… (I didn’t know I was dealing in commodities)… Now, I’m sick…. Plus, they just hung up on me when I expressed disdain over their policy which was “undisclosed” at the time as far as I’m concerned… How DO they stay in business???

"I ordered a high value item on a sunday and paid for overnight shipping. Rang customer service early the Monday to make sure they had the order and that the item would ship that day. CS Rep was pleasant and said they'd see what they could do. Someone from the "warehouse rang me at about 2PM my time, the monday to confirm shipping address. My items did not ship that day as I thought they might. In fact I did not get even a tracking number for three days which took 4 calls to customer serivice and about 3 emails. My overnight shipping took 4 days to arrive.

I will not shop with this company again. They gave me a stock answer about we process your order within 1-2 days (they took three) and then I'm sure it wouldn't have shipped unless I rang and email'ed them. Very dissatisfied with the service and will not purchase from them ever again. I will also advise others not too. The product price was ow but shipping costs very high and customer service poor. If I pay a premium for overnight shipping I expect it to ship overnight, not three days latter!!

"Ordered a GPS that I needed for a gift. This was the first time I ever bought from Compuplus but they where the only ones with it in stock. I placed the order on a Tuesday (8/1) and told them I needed it that week. The guy said the only way to guarantee it for that week was to ship it overnight and it would arrive either Thursday or Friday. I said great let's do it. So the GPS was shipped out Wednesday 2nd day air. That's a $10 difference from overnight, plus the guy charged me a $3 "green light" fee whatever that is. He never explained it.

Anyway I go to call them to ask why they shipped it 2nd day air instead of overnight and I wanted the shipping difference returned to me. I call customer support on Thursday (8/3) and they are closed for holiday!??? Huh? Internet search showed the only holiday on 8/3 was National Watermelon Day. I get up Friday to call them and they're closed. Huh? Oh, they close at 10am PST on Fridays. Must be nice to only have to work 3 hours on Fridays. They're closed on the weekends too. So I decide to send them an email.

By Tuesday (8/7) I hadn't heard a reply from the email so I call again. This time someone is actually working there! I explain the situation and the lady says, "The order says it needed to be there by Friday and it was." I tell her I paid for overnight shipping and they sent it 2nd day air and that's a $10 difference. She says "The order says it needed to be there by Friday and it was." At this point I'm thinking I might be talking to a robot so I try explaining the situation again. She says "Well, I'll send a message to billing and they will get back to you."

Well, it's now September and I never heard back from them. They obviously don't want me as a customer so they'll get their wish. I will never buy from them again and I will make sure none of my friends do either. I wish I had checked this web site first. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer support! :(

"TRghis company does not know what the word 'Overnight' is. Nor does the customer service department know what they are doing. Customer service promised overnight and a call back to me confirming the order. I got only a lie in regards to my order. There hours or ooperation should have tipped me off.
