"I really liked the shopping cart features, and the great products listed at an awesome rate."
"bad tech and customer support. refused to admit they sold me a bad motherboard that still doesnt work do this very day. very sad. did get good products from them other than that however. "
"In october 28, 2003 I placed an order with Compubuzz.com for a motherboard / CPU combo. The motherboard is an ECS Elitegroup K7VTA3 V.2 and the CPU an AMD Athlon XP 1800+. The next morning a Compubuzz rep. called me to inform me that they where out of 1800+ procesors and that it could be a month before I could get one delivered. He also stated that I could order another procesor and that they would just charge the diference to the credit card. I agreed on a AMD Athlon XP 2100+, and they said that it would be $14.95 more, I said fine. When the package arrived the invoice showed the correct info, the motherboard and the 1800 combo, plus a $14.95 charge for the upgrade to the 2100+ procesor. When I try to install the motherboard and procesor, the system would lock up and I could't install WinXP. After replacing everything on the board and still no progress I contactem them and the manufacturer of the motherboard, and all I could get from Compubuzz was an offer for me to send the parts back to them under their RMA Details, that reads: "If item not found defective, we will charge a $35.00 service fee pluss the return shipping charges on your credit card and return the item back to you." All I wanted was some tech suport. But It looks like they have none, so they told me to go to the manufacturer of the motherboard, so I did and they told me to do the same things I had already done and "if that didn't help, to go to the vendor and maybe they could help". Anyway after removing the procesor to send it back I tried the motherboard with another procesor and it worked fine, so I tried the 2100+ with another motherboard and it worked fine, I then realized that the procesor was not an Athlon XP 2100+ but a 1500+ !!! That's why it wouldn't work on the motherboard, because the motherboard was set to a 133mhz bus speed for a 2100+, but the 1500+ uses a 100mhz bus speed, and thats why it wouldn't work. So the motherboard works, the procesor works, it is compubuzz that doesn't work! They sold me and chrged me for a Athlon XP 2100+ but shipped me a 1500+, what a rip off! Tonight it is saturday so I probably won't be able to reach them until monday, but the problem is they are either goin to offer me a refund of the diference of the 2 procesors, or ask me to send the part/s back. I don't want a refund of the diference because it is not worth it, I wanted a 2100+ not a 1500+. I also need the system running, I already lost too much work, trying to figure this mess up, witch end up being their mess up, and I can't wait another 2 weeks for the 1500+ to get there and then to wait for the replacement to get here... I want them to send me the right procesor and then I will send them the 1500+ back, I need my workstation up and running. When I talk to them on monday, I'll update the situation. They still have a chance of rectifying their error, 'cause I hope it was an error! Just to think that after "test driving" this motherboard / CPU combo I was goin to buy 50 more. Do you think I would had recived 50 1500+'s? I hope not."
"The price was right, but everything else was wrong. After placing my order, I was told that the motherboard I wanted (ECS K7S5A) was out of stock; I could pay $20.95 extra for the K7S5A Pro, and additionally be upgraded to a marginally better CPU. After paying for this upgrade, my order arrived - with the K7S5A motherboard that was supposedly out of stock. Emails to the company went unanswered; a tech support ticket to their website was ignored until I called them several times (and most of the time got a busy signal). I ended up getting a small refund for my trouble, but not enough to make up for their negligence.
The most irritating part was their lack of communication. Every email I received from them said "do not reply to this email." Telephone calls are about the only way to contact them, and even then I was usually brushed off with a "we will look into it."
I'd strongly advise anyone to avoid this retailer. I will not be making a purchase from them again."
"Very easy and smooth transactions. The compubuzz website is very easy to understand and has a nice layout. One suggestion i would make is that once the confirmation of an order is made, display an invoice for print. I had to rely on the invoice coming via email to confirm my order.
Other than that, great transactions."
"Compubuzz has always been a good place to buy parts. They ship on time and I have never had a problem with them. Their cart navigation is clear and easy to use."
"Compubuzz.com had exactly what I wanted for a pretty good price. Their selection was fairly limited in some areas, but for what I wanted, they definately delivered. This is my first experience with the company, and was directed there through pricewatch.com."
"Charged my credit card a week ago, they are just sending it today. They said 6-8 days from when I placed my order, it is turning into 3 weeks."
"Ordered an Athlon XP 2500+ on Oct 19. They charged my credit card immediately. Called today, they haven't shipped it out and complained of an address verification problem. This was never a problem before because I register all my shipping addresses with my credit card company. Anyway so I decided to cancel my order and they want to charge me 5% for picking their noses. I'll call my credit card company to see what they say about that. This is the last time I'll buy from an unknown vendor without checking an online ratings system."
"Computerbuzz.com is a second-rate online retailer. They are open for calling at measly hours. At 4:30 friday the next time I could call would be 10 AM Monday. They also do not honor prices if it was a typo. First-class retailers like Newegg.com ALWAYS do. I am very dissatified with this site and will never try to order from them again."
"Bunch of liars. They had AMD XP 1700 through 2200 OEM CPUs on their site for $ -5.00 (after removing all their unnecessary "extras"). I ordered one with a Biostar motherboard. 6 hours after receiving my order confirmation, I received notice that the order was cancelled by them due to a problem with their automatic pricing program. How rinky-dink can you get? Even after all the negative posts, I figured this company was going to make it up to their customers by offering a special price and then after they had sucked me in, they killed the deal.
You are a bunch of crooks! I'm in the military and know a little something about putting integrity first! If you made a mistake, own up to it and honor the deals you made! I've never backed out of something I committed to. No wonder, your ratings are so low!
Rest assured, the grapevine is spreading the word now. These deceptive practices will have you out of business soon. Enjoy it while you can! Damn criminals."
"Charge me for an upgrade that I did not authorize. When contacted they told me that I authorized the upgrade. The only time I spoke with this company was for a problem with credit card. I think that they use the problem with a credit card as a way to scam people in upgrade. "
"Excellent customer serivce - proactively called to resolve order issues.
Items and prices as advertised with no tricks!"
"I ordered a computer from them, it took 3 weeks to get here. When it came in the computer was DOA (DEAD ON ARRIVAL). When I contacted them about it they wanted me to ship it to them at my own expense which is about $25-30 dollars so they could fix it and send it back. I told them this is unacceptable since I didn't want to pay for shipping expenses and wait another 4 weeks to get my computer. I said I want a full refund and they should cover the shipping expense of the computer and 15$ restocking fee which would be another 35 dollars. (THIS IS FOR A BORKEN COMPUTER THEY SENT ME) They disagreed and after negotiating with them I disputed the charge with my credit card company. I have their computer and I have full credit for it. If they want it back, they will now have to come and pick it up. I will never buy anything from this company again and thank god for having the protection from the CC."
"They take long to process their orders(72 hours). They called me a few days after my order and told me they had run "out of stock" yet they still list it as "in stock". They already charged my credit card right away and when I asked for an upgrade to expedited shipping for their mistake they refused despite my case of urgency. I would not rely on them for promptness and efficiency."
