"I have ordered several items from Geeks.com. I have also recommended them to relatives (wouldn't do that if I weren't confident about the company). So far every order has either worked as advertised, replaced when defective or my money refunded upon return. I have never had a problem with their customer service and routinely complement them because of the excellent track record I have with them.

I wish I could say the same about everyone of the online vendors I have used but sadly that isn't the case.

When placing an order online, a custumer must have complete confidence that the seller is dislosing all pertinent information that relates to the sale, specifically the condition of the item or product. 33% of the order was DOA. Upon closer inspection all drives contain text labeled "Certified Repaired HDD". I have never...nor would I ever KNOWINGLY purchase a refurbished HDD. "Certified Repaired HDD" stands for ALREADY FAILED ONCE. Data storage is far too important to place into an inferior product.

The thing that bothers me most is the lack of any genuine customer service or attention to this matter. Lack of and action from Computer Geeks www.geeks.com has compelled me to take necessary action to alert others to a potential breach of online trust that must be honored to ensure safe and satisfactory online purchasing.

Based upon the most recent feedback ratings available online, Computer Geeks is failing customers at an unsatisfactory rate. With a lifetime negative rating of 5%, a 1 year negative rating of 5%, the past 90 days 4% and the most recent 30 days being 5%, it's pretty obvious that Computer Geeks is not actively attempting to amicably resolve customer issues.

My computer related purchases, albeit small by comparison to major companies, still ends up being several thousand per year. This is the first time an online company has failed to provide a working product and customer service. The absolute indifference is most appalling."
