"I purchaesed BLU-M1050-4GB -- iVO-Sound m1050 4GB USB 2.0 MP4/MP3/FM player and when it arrived march 4 it would not turn on i chared it fully and still nothing verry disappointed with their service i bought a soyo moniter a week earlier and it had over 11 stuck and dead pixls and 2 damage spots on it we purchased the square trade warrenty for 2 additional years, and before that i had purchased a computer case from geeks and it came with defective front led lights I will not make any more purchases from them and i would caution others to do the same ....however i was contacted by Brian at geeks and was sent out a pre paid lable that i printed out and i will be sending the mp4 back but i was asked to have paitence because it could take 15 days or so to be sent back out to me ,the gentelman wh talked to me was very nice and is helping me to resolve the situation but i think i will still purchase new from a local dealer, alot less hassle to return if not working

"I am a long time fan of Geeks. I ordered one of their "Daily Deals" which was a Lexmark printer. A good price with the "Deal". The order included one other item. Using their checkout system something happen at what I assume is the credit card verification stage and the page froze. Concerned with duplicating an order I called Customer Service & explained what happened. They took the order. I was charged the full price on the "Daily Deal" printer & the other item was out of stock & thus canceled. I do wish they had had contacted me so I could have chosen a different item--just trying to save on shipping! (For the record, to date, they have not had even a similar item in stock so I guess it's moot.) Thinking of the holiday rush I didn't immediately jump on the $8 over charge & waited a few days. When I called Customer Service I was asked why I waited and I was then told she could not look up the special pricing. I asked to speak to a Supervisor & was transferred to Kristopher ***-***-**** [dial 1263 immediately]) & left a voice mail msg. I had errands to run & left in a few minutes later, not expecting a call for a while but Kristopher did call in less than an hour and left me a mag. I explained the situation and it was taken care of immediately including follow up emails. This is the ONLY problem I have ever had and I have used Geeks for over ten years. I feel like I owed them a positive review as any one can make a mistake but it is how you deal with it that makes the difference! I will continue to use Geeks and would recommend them as well."

" I purchased this package: Gateway FX BTX Barebones Computer Case w/Intel D915GSE2 Socket 775 Motherboard & 250W PSU on 2/19/09 and it arrived on 2/25/09. (fast shipping service guys, thanks!)
Upon arrival I noticed several discrepancies between what was advertised and what actually was contained on the motherboard:

Also I purchased an 8WT15-38 Socket 775 Heat sink and fan advertised on the same page. Unfortunately there is no way this fan can be adapted to fit on this board so it is a mystery to me why it is advertised to go with this motherboard.
Actually I could have accepted all of the above had things fired up OK but they didn't. The unit was DOA; no post and no video.
Customer service handled my call quite professionally and an RMA was issued on 2/27/09. I was concerned about paying another $35.00 shipping to get it back but the rep. waived the charge. Fedex picked up the unit at noon on 2/28 so now I'm patiently awaiting a replacement or refund at their pleasure.
My unit arrived back on their dock at 12:21PM on 3/6. I did not hear a thing for one week so sent an email requesting a refund on 3/13. They refunded $62.74 of my money which I cannot figure out since the unit price was $46.99 with a $35.00 shipping charge. I guess that means the extra $15.75 was a PARTIAL refund of the shipping. I did receive 3 other items in the same shipment which I kept but all together they only weighed about 2 lbs. Go figure.
Between the false advertising and the slow problem response I will probably not shop Geeks again."
"Here was my experience with Geeks. I purchased one item, A power supply. It arrived DOA. That means Dead on Arrive, no power. I did get an RMA for it. Customer Service is very good in that you can speak to an actual person, outside of that, I am not very impressed and will probably not shop with again.
I came to the conclusion that they are selling overstock and items that other retailers where not able to sell.
Everybody has to make money so I guess I can't bash them too much, I would just say, adopt the same strategy as New Egg. Start selling more Name Brand items from all the major retailers, just my thougts."

"Geeks.COM handled a return of a defective item in a very disappointing fashion. I received a defective hard drive in early Dec-2008 and got a return authorization. They did not pay for the return postage, which turned the initially interesting deal into a dud. I contacted them twice in writing about this problem, never heard back from them. I will refrain from doing business with them in the future and make sure to warn everybody about their unfriendly, non-competitive behavior. ++++++++ Update 26-Feb-2009 +++++++++ After my original review was posted, I immediately received emails and calls from Geeks.COM's customer service manager Brian, assuring me to correct this problem. He offered to reimburse the return postage. Given this interaction, even under the aspect that it was rather late in the game, I revised my store rating. "So far, no good.
The shipping was super quick (great job, geeks) but the refurbished 360 I purchased didn't even start up. Not once. The power chord was in working order but it immediately gave me the red ring upon first boot. So I've contacted them via their website for an RMA but haven't heard back from them. The item arrived yesterday 2/23 and I contacted them after business hours that night.
At this point I'd say I'm less than satisfied but I"ll continue to update this review accordingly.

After posting this review, I was very quickly contacted by the Geeks customer service department who promptly took care of me. I sent my remanned 360 back in for a full refund (including shipping) on Friday the 6th. At this point, I was satisfied with their speed and attention. I will update this review after receipt of the refund as well."
"I placed an order and Had a missing item the asus motherboard I sent an email over the weekend and then on monday I called Geeks. the promptly resent my Missing Item. I'am told it will be here wednesday..I cannot express how pleased I was with the prompt service reguarding the replacement of the missing item with no added charges on my end. I will be a Geeks customer for a long time to come.
