"RMA = we rip you off. We sent in some defective RAM that was suppose to be OEM. It was more or less pulled RAM. Sent it back in and still haven't heard anything now over a month. You ripped me off!"

"Order was placed on April 15 2003 and did not get shipped out until April 21st 2003. Very SLOOOOOOOW shipping. Sill have not recievd order 4/28/2003!

Sent many e-mails requesting information on order status, no reply!

"Well, my comment is mixed. We ordered about twenty modems; and, besides the extremely slow shipping, the order was fine. We also had two bad modems and they were not worth the trouble of an RMA since they were only 7 bucks. So, since it was non-critical and cheap it was no big deal.

Our main problem was with a bad, high-end video card. To make a long story short (and, since there are so many bad reviews already here), I will leave it at the following: After filling out the RMA form, e-mailing twice, calling five times, and faxing once, we have not received an RMA for over six weeks.

Buyer beware. You are taking a big risk by buying from them.

"I ordered a generic 17" LCD monitor and everything was there and in perfect working condition. I didn't pay any extra for shipping and I received the monitor the next day. Thus far I'm satisified, but I haven't had to deal with Customer Service yet."

"The reviews here really scared me. Though I usually check out a reseller here before ordering, I neglected to do so this time.

It took 2 weeks to receive the RAM I ordered, but at least it got here. And it seems to work fine.

All was not smooth however. Their tracking didn't work for my order. After 10 days, I sent an email asking about the status of my order, telling them to cancel it if it hadn't shipped.

After I was assured that it had been sent, I kept sending emails asking when -- but never got an answer. Just canned responses. The postmark indicates that it took them 13 days to mail the package -- and one day for the post office to deliver it.

Despite not actually being ripped off, I doubt I'll be ordering again from them. Who wants the hassle of having to stay on their back to make sure their order arrives? Besides, it's slower and more expensive (because of state tax) than ordering from a place like PCSupplysource, a non-California outfit that this website rates highly.

"This Company is a Joke.

They Failed on their promise of "Guaranteed Processing in 1-2 Days. it took them 4 days to process the order, then the 2-Day Air Shipping I ordered was useless, because it would be shipped on a Friday and not arrive until Tuesday. then I called to Cancel, and they hung up on me.

"Stay away from this poorly ran business.

I have been trying all morning to keep track of a purchase we placed last week. I had to call several times, had the hardest time to get understood and understand what the support person was mumbling to me. I finally managed to talk to a manager who assured me the order had been shipped. When I asked for a confirmation / UPS number, he said that it was actually going to be shipped later today.
I then told him that if I didn't get a UPS number by the end of the day, I would be cancelling the order, to which the answer was "Oh well, in that case, let me make sure it goes out today", which basically suggests that they were not going to ship anything today.
I was too lured into their website for a Free Shipping promotion that never materiazed.
The email I got from them said that they would ship within 48 to 72h, but 5 days later, they still haven't shipped anything, and show little desire to, except under the pressure of possible order cancellation, fullfill their commitment.

Rather upsetting, considering all the other options out there.

Those guys are definetly placed on our black list.

"Worst, most incompetent vendor I have ever TRIED to order from. I placed THREE orders from this vendor and one week from placing each, I got emails each time saying to talk to their "security" department.

The first time, they won't ship items over $1000 on credit card. Any other form of payment must be prepay. So, I place another order using company and these orders are under $1000. Around 750 or so each. Yet again, got to talk to security department. Now, its $500 limit. WTF. These idiots should just be outright; "we don't take credit card; we are idiots and don't belong in computer parts sales". All prepay, probably cause they don't want customers doing chargebacks when items are shipped. I guess they want to grab our money and run. As these other reviews show, they are idiots and should be avoided at all costs, period!

"This is perhaps the worst place I've ever ordered from. I ordered a $150 video card and they charged me for it TWICE, so I called them several times and got several different people who spoke broken English and assured me they would fix it, meanwhile I'm $-132.89 in the hole on my bank account. When I finally did get the card (2 weeks later) it was in good shape and I haven't had any trouble with it, but it wasn't worth the fiasco I had to go through. "

"This has been by far the worst company I have every tried to purchase parts through, They promise free shipping and dont explain how it is being shipped and then they promise a ship date and you have to spend many hours tracking your items down and I would tell anyone not to purchase aything through this company there customer service is horrible and it seems as if they just dont care. When you sell stuff you should know what you have on hand before your charge someone and then lie to them until you can find a replacement. "

"I ordered a PCI fax\modem card that advertised free shipping on the Pricewatch site AND on their site, too. When I ordered it, no free shipping came up and they charged me $8.50. When I called "customer service" I got put on hold three times and it was obvious no one was coming back to help me, so I hung up. I finally got someone who told me free shipping was on orders of twenty pieces or more so I changed shipping to USPS. It has been 7 days, still not received. And we're both on the west coast !! Avoid this seller!!!"

"I wish I'd known about this site sooner....
I ordered about $300 worth of various items from
DVCentury after seeing them on pricewatch. They
list $1/shipping on some items, and free shipping
on others... but as it totalled up, the promo
ship rates were never calculated in. I sent several
emails and never got response. CC has been charged
and as of 3/25 the order is still "in process" and
has not shipped. I'll be watching carefully to see
what arrives and in what condition. Hope to be
able to come back here snd say "they worked out OK".

"EXTREMELY UPSET!!!

DO NOT - !NOT! - ORDER FROM THEM!!!!

They are saying that I did not get a memory strip from them THAT I DID GET FROM THEM!!!

(after it failed, causing many unique errors and finally a total system crash, requiring formatting the HD, and STARTING OVER)

I did receive an RMA promptly, but they have been sitting on the returned strip since 2-26-03. I had to email and request a status report, then they say that I got the mem from another merchant that I never knew existed, have NEVER even been to their site, and whom I've NEVER ORDERED FROM!!!

"Sorry the item is not belong to us and it is the truth, we only sell the PCI with the blue sticker. and we do not know where you get this one.
We will ship it back to you as your cost."

Then I got this:
"By the way, we know who sell it. This item belong to www.augustustech.com, the logo Ares is made for them.
Please recall."

(That was the reply I received today (3-14-03).

Even though I have repeatedly told them that I have an identical mem strip purchased from them (with different brand of chips) that has THEIR EXACT SAME BLUE LABEL on it, they continue to tell me they didn't sell the defective one to me:

We never sell this brand memory, it should some other company’s. Maybe you order from someone else."
