"DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I should have read these postings before buying from this company. I ordered a LCD monitor and a modem. After 6 days and no notice of any shipment, I ask through email if the order wasn't shipped that I wanted it cancelled. I also asked them to refund the charges on my credit card. I received an email saying the order was cancelled and that I would receive a refund. Well, a few days later I received a monitor and a modem from these guys. I emailed them again...no response. I called them and they said to fill out their online RMA request form...It has been a week and no response. I have called them again and they said that they will be calling with the information...I cannot trust these people at all. I am filing a complaint with the better business bureau. Do not purchase from these people!!!"
"After placing 2 seperate orders for DIMMS that were advertised with free heat sink, DV Century has failed to send me the freebies. Initially they told me via email that the heatsink was back ordered. I have been trying to correspond with them via email for 5 months now and they have since stopped replying to me. They have changed the customer email once during that time. I have emailed sales, service, & the complaint department. Overall they have terrible support and also misleading advertising."
"Do NOT buy from this company, I initially recieved my product, however when the product broke, they sent me the wrong product in return. After which they said they would replace it with the correct item, this never happened. At this point I have been attempting to call them, and email them for a month, they have not replied to one of my emails in a month, and I think the line listed on thier website does not work. I sent the product in to be replaced over 3 months ago at this point, and now I am still stuck with a product worth much less then what I paid for, and they wont even reply to my emails."
"Price was good. Received order (USB 2.0 enclosure + Hard Drive). Case was damaged. Emailed company and received RMA. Emailed again and asked if I should return all or just damaged enclosure. Got reply to just send enclosure. Time goes by. Finally get email that they credited my card for $20. I wanted new enclosure. New enclosure from them costs $34.
I am now stuck with Hard Drive and no enclosure. If I want the enclosure I will have to pay more than I paid for the combo item."
"I purchased a Skyhawk aluminum case w/400 watt power supply at what appeared to be a good price. My card was debited within 48 hours but I couldn’t get a tracking number using their website as much as a week later. Thought it was just a software problem but I called them anyway. Gave the order number, was put on hold, and then told the order had not shipped. I said “wait just a minute here, you debited my card a week ago and haven’t shipped YET?” I’ve done enough online business to know a vendor debits at or very close to shipping, usually plus or minus 24 hours. The rep said “we ship to-mallow, that be OK?” I’m thinking, no, that isn’t okay but we’re this far into the process, so I said go ahead. After I hung up the phone I came here and started reading reviews. After 5 minutes of reading at this site I called them back and said just cancel the order. This is not a company I want to do business with; after reading here I couldn’t be sure they would send what I ordered. I also said I expect a prompt credit back to my card. Rep said it could take up to a week, at which point I went pure-dee ballistic. I said it didn’t take you a week to debit the account and it damn sure won’t take you a week to credit. I said “you have 48 hours to get my account credited. If it’s not a letter will be sent to Walnut Ca. City Attorney, Mr. Scott Nichols alerting him to fraudulent business practices by DVCentury”. I’ve already written the letter and emailed a copy to these clowns. We’ll see what happens.
DVCentury makes fly-by-night outfits look well run and professional by comparison. If you don't want to be scammed, stay away, far away!

Update: Originally ordered 6/28/03. Cancelled 7/8/03. Today is 7/18/03 - no refund yet. I've written to city attorney and today same letter goes to county attorney and Ca. Attorney General.

Final Update:
My scatter shoot letter writing campaign worked. I was finally steered to the County of Los Angeles Department of Consumer Affairs. They have the forms on their website http://consumer-affairs.co.la.ca.us to fill out and submit. I did this and got a letter from them today saying they have forwarded my complaint to the Federal Trade Commission at 10877 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 700, Los Angeles, Ca. 90024. The funny part is D. V. Century/Rich Pacific finally refunded my money 2 days short of a month after the order was placed. But rather than stop the complaint I’m going to let it ride and hope when the next person they screw complains there will be a file open on this rip-off company. Caveat emptor!"
" I ordered an ATI video card (retail version) which arrived okay (on time, good package etc). When the card failed 5 months later, I received an RMA number from the retailer and returned the card January 2003.
In March I emailed to ask them where the card was and they responded saying that it was at the manufacturer's and that I would receive it soon after the retailer received it.
In May I asked them to send me my card, or another one like it, immediately...no more excuses. May passed and then June passed with no reply.
Finally, I sent a letter demaning delivery, to the retailer and to the corporate owner's home, (found on the web site of the California secretary of state's office).
In July, just days later, I finally received an inferior video card (OEM version) without the proper adapters. I have since requested the missing adapter and we will see when, or even if, I receive anything.

"The order was placed through the Internet on 5/28; I cancelled it by phone ten minutes later. On 6/3 I received notice that the order had shipped. I replyed by email stating that the order had been cancelled and that I would refuse delivery. When the item arrived I took it to my local post office and told them I was refusing delivery. The merchant never replied to my credit inquiries.
I contacted American Express, and they dealt with the matter for me. After a couple of weeks I was refunded 85% of my money--DV Century charged me a return fee for an order they said was cancelled! I called American Express back, told them my story, and was finally given a full refund after a couple more weeks. The thing is, I think American Express ate the 15% because DV Century is operated by MORONS!
If you buy from DV Century after reading the reviews here, you deserve nothing but problems--and you're guaranteed to get them."
"Fraud.
I ordered RAM on Saturday, 6/7/03 and the funds cleared my account on Wednesday 6/11/03.
On Monday 6/16/03 I contacted the company to see if the product had shipped, and it had not. They promised to send it via USPS Priority Mail- with a 3-5 day estimated time of arrival.
On Tuesday 6/24/03 I contacted the company- Chong promised that the order had shipped on the 16th but it had not shippd Priority mail, rather it shipped 1st class and no tracking was available.
Thursday 6/26/03 No product yet, Tracey provided me with a Tracking # for the USPS- The post office states that on 6/24 they were notified to expect the package but it was not yet in their possession.
Issac is supposedly the owner- and he offered no help.
I have cancelled my order with them and they've promised not to charge a restocking fee- because I've dug up some dirt on the company.
They hold no valid business license according to the City of Walnut, CA. The address is occupied by Micro50, Inc. and Robert Alkema (not Issac) registered the business license with contact # ***-***-****- Ronsin Imaging.
Mr. Alkema owns the entire business complex according to his secretary- visit switchboard.com and research all business nearby to get a picture of what he owns. I have a call in to him and am awaiting a reply.
For those interested, Pamona County Sherrif's dept # is ***-***-****."
"I ordered on 5-29-03. They charged my card on 5-30. They said they would ship on June 2. They did not. They could not give me tracking number when I called on June 3. They claim their software was down!?!?!?!? They said to call back later. I did. Same lame story. I canceled my order and was told that the refund would process in 2 days and that my money would be back in my account on June 6. Today is June 6, no money in my account. I will fight this. They think that the customer is stupid or something. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.
UPDATE
It's June 10th and I have been on the phone again with DV Century. They have not credited my account yet. It was supposed to be done on June 9th. They even shipped the monitor out after I cancelled my order. WHAT IDIOTS. I'm going to contact my bank and dispute the charges. "
" -BUYER BEWARE-
I bought RAM at the end of April, and it came wrapped in cardboard! Needless to say it didn't work, and it took over a month to get a refund. The refund was minus 30% for the "restocking fee", and not the 15% they claim. I also had to pay for the shipment back to them, even though the RAM was not working when I received it. Bottom line, I think they keep selling the same defective merchandise over and over while making money on the "restocking fee". After reading all these negative posts, how else could they stay in business. They're turning a profit even when they sell crap!

"FRAUDULENT CON ARTISTS
I ordered 512MB of Mitsubishi RAM on 04/17. On 04/23, although my card had been charged, I still had not gotten a UPS tracking number so I sent them an email. They called me the next day and told me that item was out of stock (now a week after the original order and I had already been charged). I was offered Micron as a substitute. I accepted. On 05/02 I emailed DVCentury again asking for a tracking number. I received a reply stating my order would be there on 05/05. Still no tracking number.
Well my order did arrive on 05/05 IN THE REGULAR MAIL. It was poorly packed in a regular envelope with a 60 cent stamp on it, despite my paying 8.45 for UPS Ground. Guess that's why I never got a tracking number.
In addition they sent neither Mitsubishi nor Micron, but some horribly unstable cheap generic garbage RAM.
In all it took me 3 weeks to get the wrong thing from this sorry excuse for a company, and it ended up costing me about $25.00 for absolutely nothing (original shipping, return shipping, and restocking fee).
Even though it's only $25.00, I am pursuing a criminal fraud complaint against DVCentury. They should really make sure none of their customers work in law enforcement before they try to pull scams on them.

"Awful. Simply awful. My biggest mistake in all internet purchases so far."
"I have been purchasing from DVCentury for over a year. Mostly memory. Have always had great luck with them. However, this order was for 2 512 Mb sticks of PC2100 DDR. When I received the package I contained 2 512 Mb sticks of PC133 SDRAM. The invoice enclosed stated 2 512 Mb sticks of PC1600 DDR. So, this is the first mistake out of 150+ orders I have made from them, it happens. I contact them immediately, explain the situation, get an RMA# and place a new order to the correct memory (which I had to pay for again). I finally received the credit for the original memory but it was for only $86.70 instead of the $102.00 it should have been. I call DVCentury and was told they would check the warehouse to make sure what I returned and call back. No call. I called again and the short story is they claimed I didn't know the difference between DDR and SDRAM! I explained that with over 25 years in the computer field I'm pretty sure I did know the difference. They still claimed they sent me the correct memory and refused to credit me the full amount (they only credit 85% normally). I refused to accept this as none of this was my mistake. After getting a bit demanding with the person on the phone she asked me to hold while she checked on something. After a couple minutes she came back and apologized and said they did, in fact, send me the wrong memory and said that the rest of my refund would post to my bank account within 2 days. Since they did take care of it (even after calling me a liar) I will still shop with them. I do recommend using DVCentury but if something goes wrong, stand your ground. As I said this is the 1st problem I've had with them in over 150 orders."
"Ordered memory on 4/22/03, it is 5/9/03 and have not received memory. Called company directly and company has said memory is in the mail. Will contact my credit card company for fraud and have my money return."
"It is now May 28,2003. On or about Dec 10,2002 I ordered a video card from this company on April 21, 2003 the fan on the card quit working making the card useless, contacted the RMA dept. and sent the card back on 4/23/03 and they recieved it on 4/24/03. After waiting and not hearing from the company for a week we started calling them and have continued almost daily. They have told us they don't have the card anymore and would order a demo version from the manufacturer in Tiwan this has been three weeks ago. Every day they give us a new story, they said they would replace it with a card that won't fit our computer, or $139 wholesale price back, we have sent them several other links to other sites that had the card but don't anymore because the Manufacturer dosn't make the card anymore. I have sent them links to other companies that make the card and they won't buy it from them and send it to us. They have our card our money and won't resolve this to my satisfaction, now they are offering us $130 wholesale price or a card that is retailed for $79. We have contacted Chucks Boss Issac or something like that and he now refuses to talk to us. This is my son's only Christmas present it was all he wanted and now I am out $225. And his computer is down until we get this situation taken care of. "
