"Seller basically had the same M.O. with me as with others. Poor communication and never answered the phone. Asked for an update in 3 days, they said they had no clue on the status. I asked for a refund they said I had to wait 7 days. After 7 days I requested a refund, which they said they did and that I'd have to wait a week. After a week, nothing. did some research on BBB and on this said and realized this guy is a crook. has a failing grade with the BBB with over 780 complaints. I brought this to his attention and said I was filing a complaint and disputing it with my credit card company. No response until I posted on here. Claimed he did over 30,000 transaction a month and I needed to work with him. Basically is seems the goal is to get you to wait 60 days so you can no longer dispute with VISA. IF you are reading this, file a dispute NOW and cite the BBB s evidence. His address is a mailbox in a mall, and he IS NOT license in the city of Santa Monica. He states he has like 50 employees, but business activity suggest a one man operation. This place is a hustle and no one can shut him down because no one knows where he really is. The server is hosted in L.A., and the domain is listed private and has been on line since 2008, don't buy the bull he's been around since 1980 (the internet in .com form has only been around since 1996). site policy prevents me from posting my email thread,but let's just say there was a lot of horse manure. Banks process VISA refund at the same speed as debits (but without the pending authorization) so if the transaction was posted 3 days from when you made the purchase (almost 98% of the time, please not this is actual posting and not pending withdrawal) it will take 3 days to refund to your account. I've setup sites like the for legitimate companies for quite some time and am well aware of the transaction process. The only way it could take a week is if your bank was international. Recent laws on how credit transactions work have made this a reality. Don't believe his hype. He makes the discount just low enough to be believable and then tries to take your money and run. Save time and effort and go elsewhere. Any positive post in here is an obvious fake, and I would drill down to the post owner's profile and see what else they've commented on. If this guy is legit let him state his real corporation name here, as well as the corp's mailing address."

"Very similar issues to many reviews on here. I ordered my item in march and after a week with no update attempted correspondence with the sales dept. by phone and email asking for a eta on the shipping or if the item was expected back in stock. They claimed item was out of stock and would arrive soon. For 32 days this went on before I requested a cancellation. It has been 8 business days from my request however im aware it can sometimes take up to 10-14 days. I will update on when I receive my refund or I have to escalate my actions."

"Ordered speakers on the 8th. It is now the 23rd and I still don't have speakers. E-mailed them and got the 1-2 more days response. That was a week ago. Called today and after 35 minutes waiting to get through I talked to a guy that said my speakers came in this morning and I should have them on monday at the latest, said he will refund shipping and tax. Will post an update on Mon the 26th"

Update: 4/28/2010---Refund was received on the 27th of April. Received a call from Simon(billing/disputes) on the 22nd after placing my original extremely negative review. Simon promised me that he had processed the refund while we were on the phone which it now appears that he had. Without getting into specifics Simon was the only person at DCCA that did what he promised. Too bad they don't have more employees like him. Thanks Simon for coming through.

"Fraudulent business practices, lies and deception!!!Do not purchase anything!!!

I purchased a sub-woofer (Orion HCCA 15) (shipping five to seven days) for a gift from Dealer Cost Car Audio which I have yet to receive and have officially canceled the order (after countless emails and lies) and have not been given a refund yet. This problem has been going on for well over a month.

According to the research I have completed, almost every case is the same; place order, credit card charged immediately, item is on backorder or some other excuse, promises of item coming in and shipping in one to two business days, no shipping confirmation, no product and more lies that the product has not come in and will ship in one to two more business days.

I have disputed the charges with my credit card company whom were very interested in pursuing these scam artists after checking their ratings/reviews with the Better Business Bureau. My credit card company seemed happy to handle the situation after checking Dealer Cost Car Audio's business history and consumer reviews.

If anyone else has any problems with this company, do not wait, file a dispute with your credit card company immediately.

"Purchasing a stereo through Dealer Cost Car Audio is the absolute worst online shopping experience I have ever had. I attempted to buy a clarion marine stereo. It's been four weeks now and it still hasn't shipped. The only correspondence I have received was in response to the e-mails I sent inquiring on the order status. They repeatedly asked for "a few more days" to ship the order. No proactive steps were taken by DCCA to notify me of order delays and their responses to my e-mails were very vague and evasive. I told them to cancel my order, but (surprise) have had no response. I don't know if they are defrauding customers or just completely incompetent, but either way, I would not recommend them to anyone. I tried to save a mere $13 over a supplier price on Amazon and completely regret it. I wish I had found this review site before I made my purchase. I would have never purchased through Dealer Cost Car Audio based on their multitude of pitiful reviews."

"My order started like many of the others on this page, but communication made my experience different. These guys answered every e-mail and called me every time I requested a call. My order was shipped on the day it was promised and arrived as scheduled. The merchandise was brand new factory sealed and properly packaged.

It may have taken slightly longer to ship, but the end result was very pleasing. I got upgraded speakers at the same price and saved a ton of money. I will certainly do business with them again and would not hesitate to recommend DCCA to a friend.

Thanks guys for all you help.

"I would strongly discourage anyone from buying anything from Dealer Cost Car Audio, I have been trying to purchase a DVD player from them since January 2, 2010. I originally ordered a unit and after three months of waiting was finally told they were back ordered, at that time I chose a different unit and paid the difference in price. Then the waiting began all over again! I waited another six weeks with no shipment only empty promises of shipment, and when I tried to cancel my order I was forced to do so through a series of complicated email routers etc. I finally had to call and demand a refund over the phone! Anyone's guess as to when or if I'll ever receive my refund. I wouldn't order from them ever again under any circumstance, ever!! The only thing there good at is running your credit card, and putting you off for months on end!"
